Colbie Caillat In Ezra Santos – 2014 Grammy Awards

Colbie Caillat hit the red carpet in an equally red gown at the 2014 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (January 26).

The singer wore a dress designed by Ezra Santos.

Colbie’s crimson gown was eye-catching with a faux-one-shoulder design that had a textural, feather-like detail. All that, plus the turtle neck silhouette and and sexy cross-body sheer panel was all a bit too much for me. The design was interesting and complex, but it was overwhelming for the eye.

I loved how the singer kept her hair simple and high, in a top knot, but I wish she would have left the beautiful earrings at home, which competed with her busy gown.

Do you love Colbie’s gown, or do you, too, think there’s too much going on?

I think she had to wear earrings because her face looked too bare maybe stud ones could have been better , but that turtle neck is not the best detail she could have went with for The Grammys.

I love this gown but that awful top-knot brought down the look as a whole. I am not a fan of the hairstyle in general but why on earth would you pair a hairdo that looks like you are getting ready to wash your face with such a gorgeous gown? The beauty game was way down on all levels last night.

+1 – I just commented on another blog the same about the same hairstyle – looks like she’s about to wash her face.

Given the other looks I don’t even mind this. And that’s saying something about the quality about this particular RC, hm.

Blech! This dress is choking her and making her neck look huge, which is so weird and never thought I’d say that about a dress, but it’s true. Pretty color and pretty gown from the collarbone down.

The suffocating high neck and the top knot don’t go together at all. The earrings weren’t needed too. It’s unfortunate because the dress fits her well.

I do really like the gown but not on her. Her styling isn’t the best either.

It bothers me that you can see the seams of the illusion panel

I wanted to like this but with everything in its entirety, I just can’t 🙁

The feathered detailing is practically suffocating her, def. too much, her top knot looks silly, not a fan of the way the sheer panel cuts her in 2 (somewhat scary in bright red) or eye makeup. This isn’t working for me either.

      I agree.

Also agree — on all points!

Shame her dress ate her neck, it’s a nice look otherwise .

This is very American Beauty-esque and I don’t mean that in a good way. Seriously, I’m afraid her face is going to be eaten next.

      +1 Hahahahaha

The high neck is overwhelming, but I love the rest of the gown.

I wished I couldn’t see the lining of the chest area. Other than that, this is gorgeous.

I think the high-neck overwhelms her, if the neckline stopped at the collarbone I think it would have looked a lot nice, and less over-the-top
