Solange Knowles In Azede Jean-Pierre – Spotify and Troy Carter Pre-GRAMMY Music + Tech Party

Solange Knowles In Azede Jean-Pierre - Spotify and Troy Carter Pre-GRAMMY Music + Tech Party

Solange Knowles attends the Spotify and Troy Carter Pre-GRAMMY Music + Tech Party held at Atom Factory on Thursday (January 23) in Culver City, California.

Working a blunt cut ‘fro Solange wore a Azede Jean-Pierre Spring 2014 cropped jacket with a standing collar, three-dimensional insect embroidery, and bracelet-length sleeves with matching skirt with a saddle hemline which she has worn back to front as the original skirt has a high-waistline.

I love that once again she is not following the herd, supporting lesser-known designers, making the look her own and wearing it well.

    Hell, no!

And what are the ants doing? They are trying to find a way off this dress! Seriously, this is a miss for the usually cool Solange.

I like the outfit on the model but not on solange. it looks better when both parts don’t seem separated.

It’s not just the insects. Her makeup and hair look particularly awful here.

    A rare miss from Solange.

I HATE insects and I definitely can’t stand them as a print on clothes either. I dislike the whole look.

no to the clothes and hair.

I would never wear bugs, but she pulls it off. But I really don’t like that hair.

Sorry, cockroaches on clothes = repulsive

I think you need to be really tiny to pull this look off (at least the top, which is where Solange’s look went wrong): which is a shame, because I utterly adore the idea, her hair and how the fabric looks with her skintone.

I kinda like this, but prefer how the skirt moves under the top than the two being entirely disconnected.

I’m probably in the minority but I really like this look! Kudos to Solange for always doing something different and making it look good.

      Love it as well

I LOVE it too! People seem to only focus on the insects which can be off-putting but I think it’s cool. I do like the high waist of the model’s skirt better though. The model version just looks more streamlined.

I’m sorry but that outfit is ugly. I can’t even imagine how the designer could think that insects on clothes would be cool. Absolutely a no for me.

Btw it’s not a matter of known or not known designer (I like to see here other designers than the typical ones), I have the same thought rearding those lions, snakes and cia. seen two days ago on Valentino HC outfits….

Sadly, this is a no for me.
