Hilary Rhoda In Jason Wu – King Cole Bar And Salon Opening

Hilary Rhoda In Jason Wu - King Cole Bar And Salon Opening

Last week Hilary Rhoda was the best dressed on the red carpet at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, looking sexy without revealing as much as her fellow models.

Last night she took on the sheer trend while attending the King Cole Bar And Salon opening held at the St. Regis in New York City.

This long-sleeved tulle Jason Wu Resort 2014 dress featuring an open back and beaded botanical embroidery throughout was presented with a nude bra and panties, so you will not be surprised that her version has been lined.

The question is, does it nullify the allure of the look?

I think the dress retains its flirty charm because the lining is a close match to her skin tone, and I like that it stops short, allowing just a hint of tulle at the hemline.

Going for gold Jimmy Choo accessories, she styled her look with their ever-popular ‘Candy’ clutch and degrade ‘Agnes’ pumps, with a glossy red pout completing her look.

Not a fan of the original dress–love Lee Ann’s Ken doll comment!–and the lining is so poorly done that it is hard to see anything very good or interesting in this. Pretty makeup.

I’m not too fond of the lining and her styling is not that great either. I don’t even like her make up.

I like the dress, but the lining is an odd color on my screen. I think it would’ve been better to just go with a completely contrasting color underneath. Otherwise, she looks fine.

I do get that the lookbook version is just not wearable outside a studio. And yet I absolutely love it from an artistic point of view and as a take on the sheer trend. The lining on Hilary, however, is atrocious. But frankly, I don’t like her styling either. So this is one big no for me.

I know we don’t discuss weight here but she used to be healthy and now she is too bloody skinny. Having said that am glad she wore the lining because the model looks like a Ken doll

the lining is not the best. But I still like it better than the lookbook one. The dress looks all ethereal and cute in the lookbook but if someone wears this on the RC it will be hard not to cross the line of “showing too much”.Plus I’m sick of see- through dresses right now so Hilary wins.

I think the lining works pretty well, it makes the dress lovely and romantic, without hotpants in our faces. Just perfect.

The lining is not working here sadly.

I don’t like the dress but she’s got great figure and natural elegance, her styling is nice, she looks good.

From what I can see – the lining is not good.
Also – I don’t like her hair and make-up with this look.

She’s becoming my favourite model on the red carpet. She’s always elegant and graceful and this is no exception.
