Joanne Froggatt In Herve Leger & John Rocha - 2013 BFI London Film Festival Awards

Joanne Froggatt attended the 2013 BFI London Film Festival Awards held at Banqueting House in London on Saturday evening.

The ‘Downton Abbey’ star has always been a favourite of mine, and I have full admiration for this look considering the journey it made from the runway to the red carpet.

Her look consists of a Hervé Léger black top and a John Rocha Fall 2013 leaf appliqué skirt which started out its life on the runway as a strapless dress.

Some runway looks are often presented as seen on the runway, so for her stylists to see past the original look to create what we see on Joanne takes great foresight and imagination worthy of praise.

A green cummerbund, David Webb jewels, a simple black clutch, and embellished Christian Louboutin ‘Artifice’ pumps completed her look.

If I dare nitpick, I would’ve love her hair pulled back or up with this look. Otherwise, I’m in total lust.

It definitely took guts, kudos to her for that. There are things I love about it. Overall, I find it pretty impressive. Fashion-wise, at least.

+1 I don’t think it’s perfect but overall I really like it and like the effort she put into it

It’s not going to be my BDOTW but I do appreciate the creative styling.

The top is nice and flattering but I dislike this piece both as a dress and a skirt – bulky, overwrought and in an unfortunate colour. Her pretty pumps couldn’t be more perfect for the look but the hair needed to be toned down a bit and neatly pulled back considering the fussy statement skirt.

    Devine. Genius styling.

I like this a lot too, but I agree about her hair. If only she were wearing it ala Kate Beckinsale in a full voluminous high pony tail.

This is beautiful. Not wow worthy but beautiful.

I think her presentation is much better than the runway look. I love this look.

Great way to make a difficult runway look wearable (well, for anyone who is not Lady Gaga, lol). I really like this.

She looks nice, can’t say spectacular though.

I’m sorry but I really dislike this look. The color, the texture, the length, everything about this makes me depressed.

ia. Regardless who wears this, its really an unflattering dress.

I agree, this dress is awful.
