Vogue and MAC Cosmetics Dinner Party

Vogue and MAC Cosmetics Dinner Party

Many more stars attended the Vogue and MAC Cosmetics dinner hosted by Lisa Love and John Demsey in honour of Prabal Gurung at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California on Monday alongside Diane Kruger, Zoe Saldana and Jaime King.

Cody Horn: The ‘Magic Mike’ actress opted for a luxe tapestry pencil skirt with a matching short-sleeved top with black sleeves and a ruffled peplum. The black ankle boots wouldn’t have been my first choice with this look; however, Prabal Gurung looks and edgy accessories go hand in hand.

Hailee Steinfeld: The teen actress selected a navy silk dress featuring an embellished bib, which she styled with a black clutch and ecru Coach ‘Leighann’ sandals. You may remember her first Prabal Gurung moment was at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards.

Jena Malone: The indie actress opted for a decorative Prabal Gurung black-and-white frock paired with clear pvc heels with a black ankle strap. Had they not featured a visible ankle strap, it would’ve looked like she was barefooted.

Emma Roberts: The actress stands out wearing a bright-blue Prabal Gurung frock with a silver-plated black belt styled with Melinda Maria edgy pyramid drop earrings. The rest of her accessories are overkill.

Ginnifer Goodwin: Taking the ‘less is more’ approach to accessorizing, Ginnifer added Jimmy Choo ‘Virginia’ pewter sandals, Dana Rebecca Designs earrings and a bi-colour clutch to her sexy scoop-neck metallic frock. Nice to see her go easy on the eye makeup on this occasion.

Liberty Ross: The model/actress goes against the grain, opting for a Christian Dior Spring 2013 tuxedo dress with satin lapels.

Aubrey Plaza: This white-and-amethyst creeping-lily print is synonymous with Prabal Gurung’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection. I wish Aubrey’s bag and shoe options had been respectively smaller and more complementary to her short-sleeved frock.

Dita von Teese: Also channelling a look from a bygone era, Dita attended this event wearing a black velvet vintage gown with a floral bodice, working her signature retro waves and red pout.

Amber Valletta: The model also selected a white frock with an explosive print, keeping it lady-like with black accessories.
