Jhene Aiko In Alberta Ferretti – 2015 Grammy Awards

Jhene Aiko In Alberta Ferretti - 2015 Grammy Awards_

Jhene Aiko swept onto the red carpet at the 2015 Grammy Awards, held on Sunday (February 8) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

After seeing her urban-chic look at the Roc Nation Grammy Brunch, I was excited to see what singer and nominee had up her sleeve for tonight.

Tapping into another side of her style personality, she took a softer approach in a diaphanous, fairytale of a gown from the Alberta Ferretti Spring 2015 collection.

It’s a beautiful, blush-pink design, with its whispers of petal-like embellishment at the bodice, although one I wouldn’t have necessarily expected to see at the Grammys.

She accessorized the delicate dress with a Jimmy Choo clutch and heels, along with a diamond ear cuff by Lorraine Schwartz and a gold diamond ring story by Ofira.

Gwen Stefani In Atelier Versace – 2015 Grammy Awards

Gwen Stefani In Atelier Versace - 2015 Grammy Awards

Gwen Stefani was in attendance at the 2015 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 8) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Owning the red carpet, the entertainer did what she does best, killing it in a rock-star-worthy Atelier Versace Spring 2015 black jumpsuit with an artistically structural and embellished corset bodice. You may recall the look also made it onto Fashion Critic’s wish list for Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

I love how Gwennie took the design from the runway and put her own spin on the piece, wearing the pants scrunched up around her calves for an extra dose of personality and signature pop edge.

A look such as this only sees my affinity for the jumpsuit grow even stronger.

Keeping her makeup in the soft nude tones, she left the bold colour only for her red manicure, finishing out her styling with a slightly teased, platinum pompadour.

Statement-making without a smidge of try-hard; this queen of cool has done it again completing her look with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Ariana Grande In Versace – 2015 Grammy Awards

Ariana Grande attended the 2015 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 8) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Turning to Versace for more mature, sultry style inspiration à la Selena Gomez, the singer and Best Pop Vocal Album nominee selected an asymmetrical white gown with cutouts and a high side slit.

Although this was a more grown-up look for the young songstress, the mesh silver overlay added a youthful, pop-rock edge that we’ve grown accustomed to seeing on her and that we would expect at the Grammys.

Her signature high ponytail ’do was still present and accounted for, and while she kept her accessories to a minimum, I could have done without the choker necklace.

That said, had I seen this look from the neck down, I would have never guessed it was Ariana.

Madonna In Givenchy – 2015 Grammy Awards

Madonna In Givenchy - 2015 Grammy Awards_

Madonna may have been among the earlier arrivals for the 2015 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 8), but she certainly was not to be missed as she staked her sartorial claim on the red carpet at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

It’s been some time since we’ve seen the music icon on the scene, and she has come back with a bang. The icon who last year turned heads at the 2014 Grammys with a mannish suit, fedora, and a gold grill, went in an opposite yet no less arresting direction this year.

Her burlesque-inspired Givenchy ensemble this evening sees her returning to her more old-school Madge days. With this look, she could walk straight into the cabaret and hit the stage without making so much as a slight costume change.

The lace-encrusted, ribbon-accented, corseted bodysuit made use of every manageable bit of embellishment, even if it did prove just a teensy bit tight for those twins.

To accompany the theatrical piece, she left no accessory behind—from the fingerless arm gloves to the black fishnets and over-the-knee boots. Of course, her netted terrero-inspired hat, which sat atop retro platinum pin curls and a sultry cat-eye, was the icing on this dramatic layered cake of a look.

Was this leather-and-lace overload both over-the-top and oozing of extravagance? Yes. But this is Madonna and this is the Grammys. And this is how to get the night started on a memorable note.

Get The Look: Sara Bareilles’ 2014 Grammy Awards Textured Braids

Get The Look Sara Bareilles’ 2014 Grammy Awards Textured Braids

Sara Bareilles, known for her beautiful voice and lyrical impact, donned no-fuss, textured tresses at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.

Celebrity hair stylist Rolando Beauchamp described the look as “rough, beautiful hair that pulled her face up and back.”

Beauchamp prepped the hair first, using Garnier Fructis Style Deconstructed Beach Chic Texturizing Spray on Sara’s damp hair. In order to create the texture, he rough-dried the strands. When the hair was dry, he made two loose cornrow braids from the front to the back of her head.

He used a 1 1/4 inch curling iron on the rest of the hair; wrapping around just the ends. Using a bit of Garnier Fructis Style Deconstructed Move It Manipulating Gel, he worked it into Sara’s hair, section by section. This created more of a “slightly slept-in” look.

To set the hair, he gave it a few spritzes of Garnier Fructis Style Extreme Control Anti-Humidity Hairspray.

The result? Effortless waves and braids to compliment her feminine Blumarine gown.

Cyndi Lauper In Moschino Cheap and Chic – 2014 Grammy Awards Pre-Telecast Show

Cyndi Lauper In Moschino Cheap and Chic - 2014 Grammy Awards Pre-Telecast Show

Singer/songwriter Cyndi Lauper accepted the Best Musical Theater Album award for ‘Kinky Boots’ onstage during the 2014 Grammy Awards Pre-Telecast Show at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday (January 26) in Los Angeles, California.

Like Katy Perry, Cyndi’s look had a musical reference, with her Moschino Cheap and Chic black-and-white skirt suit featuring a box-pleat ‘piano keys’ skirt.

If this look is feeling a tad familiar, that may be because Laura Carmichael wore a Moschino Cheap and Chic black mini dress with the same box-pleat ‘piano keys’ hemline last summer.
