Karen Fairchild In Monique Lhuillier & Kimberly Schlapman In Raisa & Vanessa – 2018 Grammy Awards

Recording artists Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman of Little Big Down were also in attendance at the 2018 Grammy Awards on Sunday (January 28) in New York City, alongside their male counterparts in the group Jimi Westbrook and Phillip Sweet.

Monique Lhuillier’s Spring 2018 collection took a lighter approach to the designer’s signature hyper-feminine aesthetic. That sensibility was witnessed in the feathered, floaty enchantment of Karen’s gown, rendered in pastel tones with delicate embellishment throughout.

As a result, her thick, dark waves felt a bit heavy, so I wonder if a sleek bun would have served the look better.

As for Kimberly, she opted for a pretty-in-pink Raisa & Vanessa Spring 2018 corset dress, decorated with embellishment and ruffles for a romantic effect.

I was more taken by her bouncy, beautiful blonde curls, though, which for me had just as much of a starring role here.

Both ladies carried white #TimesUp roses, as the pins would have been ill-suited to their gowns.

Bebe Rexha In La Perla – 2018 Grammy Awards

Bebe Rexha struck a sultry pose at the 2018 Grammy Awards on Sunday (January 28) at Madison Square Garden in New York City, joining Eve and Janelle Monae.

The ‘Meant to Be’ singer showed off her curves in a La Perla Spring 2018 gown.

The fit and intricate detailing speaks to the designer’s skill of enhancing a women’s shape, but I am at a loss with the nude tulle on the cups.

When I first saw this, I thought she was having a wardrobe malfunction and revealing cleavage enhancers.

Her styling of the look was more successful with Lorraine Schwartz jewels echoing the pattern on the dress.

The white rose affixed to her clutch is in support of the #TimesUp movement.

Lady Gaga In Armani Privé – 2018 Grammy Awards

With Lady Gaga owning so many memorable Grammys looks, I’m sure I’m not the only one who was interested to see what she’d bring to the red carpet tonight (January 28) at the 2018 Grammy Awards in New York City.

She’s performing later, but in the meantime, she captured our attention in a custom Armani Privé hybrid design.

It wasn’t exactly as galactic as the Armani Privé orbit gown from the 2010 Grammys, but the high level of drama and theatrics was fully present and accounted for.

You can just imagine her swooshing across the carpet in this billowy, never-ending black ball skirt that encircled the sheer lace bodysuit underneath. Some may take issue with the nude secondary bodysuit underneath, but it was obviously an intentional piece of the look with the bold shoulder shaping.

The romantic-meets-edgy sensibility was further perfected by glittery, smoky eye makeup and her platinum Game of Thrones plait, in which black ribbon had been braided throughout.

The Pleaser mega platforms were all to be expected on Mother Monster here, with stunning Lorraine Schwartz black jewels to echo the dark romance of this entrance.

Janelle Monae In Dolce & Gabbana – 2018 Grammy Awards

Janelle Monae was another early arrival at the 2018 Grammy Awards on Sunday (January 28) in New York City, joining Lana Del Rey and Eve.

I was anticipating the singer to make a statement, but I wasn’t expecting her to go against her black, white and red colour palette.

Sure, there is still black and white but there is also blue, yellow, green and lilac in her Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2018 floral separates from the Secret Show.

As per usual, her styling dramatized the look further. Her two-toned hair was adorned with diamantes and she topped the white blouse with a diminutive bow tie that added to the formality of the outfit.

Eve In Naeem Khan – 2018 Grammy Awards

Eve was one of the first ones on the red carpet of the 2018 Grammy Awards on Sunday (January 28) at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

She started the evening on top form in this Naeem Kham Fall 2017 embellished suit that was an easy win for me by nature of its elongating, crystallized stripes and modern take on Grammys glamour.

It was such a sophisticated look for Eve, who finished the ensemble with side-swept waves and a mulberry lip.

She opted to carry her white rose rather than wear the pin in support of #TimesUp for a fresh take on the movement.

You may remember that model Josephine Skriver has worn this suit before in a more boudoir-influenced presentation.

Did you like its second run?
