Balmain Spring 2015 Front Row

Balmain Spring 2015 Front Row

Olivier Rousteing presented his Spring 2015 collection for Balmain yesterday (September 25), sending some of our favourite models down the runway including Jourdan Dunn, Joan Smalls, Karlie Kloss and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Here’s a look at who saw the show first hand in the front row.

Noomi Rapace: Hmm… I’m starting to think that Noomi has lost her mojo. Usually styled to perfection, this zebra-print blazer and striped sequin dress effort doesn’t impress me much as the styling is so uninspired. You can tell she just threw it on.

Kim Kardashian: Seated in the front row alongside her mother and husband, Kanye West, to see her kid sister Kendal Jenner take the runway, the reality star made a better representation of a Balmain girl. Dressed in a Balmain Resort 2015 patterned frock, the piece was styled with Balmain lace-up booties and accessorized with a choker and cuffs from the Spring 2015 collection. Love her or hate her, she looked much better than Noomi Rapace.

Versace Spring 2015 Front Row

Versace Spring 2015 Front Row

Versace presented their Spring 2015 collection during Milan Fashion Week on Thursday (September 18) with a front row that of course included their biggest celebrity fan, aside from JLO – Heidi Klum.

Heidi Klum: Versace-fied from head to toe, the TV host was decked out in a black mini dress, which she paired with a studded leather jacket with laser-cut detailing on the sleeves, a gold medusa ring and black and gold suede Versace boots from the Fall 2014 collection. I have to say, this is one of her better Versace looks. I like that she found the right balance without looking like she tried too hard.

Bella Thorne: The young Disney star has become a FROW regular during Milan Fashion Week. Like Heidi, she also selected a fairly simple Versace Fall 2014 dress, letting the accessories amp up the look. The only thing I would remove here is the heavy eye makeup.

Araya A. Hargate: The Thai actress and L’Oreal ambassador opted to go in a different direction to the mini dress and leather jacket route selected by the other two, by wearing a gorgeous teal pantsuit with rose-gold button detailing from the Fall 2014 collection. The chic military-inspired look was styled with glossy waves and Versace shoes.

Emporio Armani Spring 2015 Front Row

Emporio Armani Spring 2015 Front Row

Ashley Madekwe and Bella Thorne were perched in the front row of the Emporio Armani Spring 2015 show during Milan Fashion Week yesterday afternoon (September 18).

Ashley Madekwe: Embodying the elegance of the brand to a tee, the actress wore a white Emporio Armani sleeveless blazer with slim-fit trousers. Styled in a timeless, chic manner with black and white accessories, I can’t help but be captivated by the enigmatic and androgynous cool appeal of this look.

Bella Thorne: The actress also went the black and white route while opting for separates with an all-round looser fit. This I found surprising, and refreshing, considering that her style often consists of tight-fitted mini dresses. However, the only thing I would change about this look is the shoes. There is something quite clownish about them.

Gucci Spring 2015 Front Row

Gucci Spring 2015 Front Row

The front row at the Gucci Spring 2015 show, hosted today (September 7) during Milan Fashion Week in Milan, Italy, included a pretty trio of Gucci-wearing girls.

Kate Moss: Fresh from her appearance at the Burberry Prorsum Spring 2015 presentation on Monday, the supermodel punctuated her look with statement snake print. She paired the Gucci Resort 2015 green python leather coat with a black jersey dress, black suede platform high heel sandals and a pale-blue leather Jackie soft clutch. With minimal accessories and little fluff, it’s a very ‘Kate’ look, especially topped off with barely-there makeup and natural wavy strands.

Araya A. Hargate: Also jetting from the London Burberry Prorsum show to Milan, Araya was dressed in a Gucci Fall 2014 rose techno-fabric, short-sleeve frock with a pair of blue-python, high-heel boots with horsebit detail. With her round, oversized shades, I did love the spirited, retro stance she channeled.

Charlotte Casiraghi: The Monaco royal and the face of Gucci Cosmetics, which made its runway debut today, was the picture of effortless elegance, looking incredibly chic in a Gucci Fall 2014 black leather-trimmed sleeveless cocktail dress, sophisticatedly styled with impeccable makeup, naturally, and that great red lip.

Burberry Prorsum Spring 2015 Front Row

Burberry Womenswear SS15 - Arrivals

A crush of beauties, and a handsome boy, were out in force for the Burberry Prorsum Spring 2015 fashion presentation on Monday (September 15) during London Fashion Week in London, England. This front row set was, of course, outfitted in all measures of the powerhouse British label for the big show.

Cara Delevingne: The model was front and centre—on the FROW instead of the runway—where she strutted out a sexy two-piece navy suit with multicoloured Burberry Prorsum sneakers and a contrasting plum Burberry Prorsum ‘Bee’ monogrammed bag, both fresh from the Spring 2015 collection. The unexpected mix of the skin-baring, bra-less plunge, worn with strands of necklaces, and the sporty appeal of the trainers delivers on Cara’s rebel edge. I can’t say that a part of me didn’t want to see the suit with a pair of heels, though. The matching red lip and red pocket square were amazing.

Kate Moss: Arm in arm with Cara, Kate belted on a sleek black trench over cropped black skinny pants, punctuating the look with teal-green heels, the Burberry Prorsum ‘Bloomsbury’ bag and cat-eye shades. This dynamic duo appear together in the current My Burberry fragrance campaign—talk about a perfect model match.

Marchesa Spring 2015 Front Row

Marchesa Spring 2015 Front Row

Celebrities gathered to celebrate red carpet queens Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, who returned home to London to showcase their Marchesa Spring 2015 collection on the 10th anniversary of the brand.

Jena Malone: The ‘Hunger Games’ actress was perched in the front row wearing a distinctive Marchesa frock in a rich teal hue, deconstructed to create a gorgeous kilt dress rendered with 3D mohair thistle embroidery. I love her complementary eye makeup, which further emboldened the look along with her gold sparkling Louboutins.

Rita Ora: The singer ditched the red lip in favour of a deep-berry hue for her part-glamorous, part-I’m-not-sure-what’s-up-with-that-hairstyle look. She wore a Marchesa Spring 2011 blush-pink draped chiffon one-shoulder jumpsuit with black tassels on the train. The hair is too harsh for the look, but you have to – on some level – admire her for keeping things varied and interesting. She was asked by a reporter to name her favourite Marchesa red carpet look; having worn Marchesa four times previously to the Elle Style Awards, the BBC Radio One Teen Awards, the 2013 Glamour Woman of the Year Awards, and the 2012 EMAs, she said that the red embroidery and taffeta gown from the EMAs was her favourite look. When asked by the journalist where she had worn the look, Rita appeared to go blank and say “Ummm…”, at which point I interjected by saying “the MTV Awards”, to which she looked up at me with some confusion, then turned to the journalist and replied “Yeah, the EMAs”.
