Araya A. Hargate In Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture – Chopard Trophée

Araya A. Hargate made a bold statement at the Chopard Trophée event at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 14), joining Diane Kruger.

She had her first memorable moment at the festival in Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture at the ‘Girls Of The Sun (Les Filles Du Soleil)’ premiere, and delivered another show-stopping outfit in a layered look from Spring 2014.

Voluminous looks are de rigueur, but this certainly isn’t your standard gown.

She made the style her own with the tidier collar and statement jewels. The skirt also has a different silhouette, but it’s no less arresting. This is the sort of look that makes one reconsider the possibilities of red carpet ensembles.

Sonam Kapoor In Ralph & Russo Haute Couture – ‘Blackkklansman’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Newlywed Sonam Kapoor made her first appearance at Cannes Film Festival this year for tonight’s (May 14) premiere of ‘Blackkklansman’.

Following Deepika Padukone and Aishwarya Rai, the Indian actress is the first one to go traditional this year, wearing a two piece lehenga created by Ralph & Russo.

As beautiful as this look is, I’m struggling to get excited about it.

Mostly because this colour, with this embellishments has been done to death, so in the second week I’m looking for something that’s gonna capture my imagination – see Ava DuVernay and Cate Blanchett. Not more of the same like Deepika Padukone and Araya A. Hargate.

Diane Kruger In Prada – Chopard Trophée

Loose-fitted silhouettes have been the story of Diane Kruger’s 2018 Cannes Film Festival adventure with her Armani Prive gown and the Viktor & Rolf trapeze style mini, so it was only natural that it carried on tonight (May 14) for the Chopard Trophée event.

The actress was the patroness of the Trophée Chopard 2018, which she presented to the new honorees, having won this prize in 2003.

Diane wore a Prada violet silk chiffon plissé bustier gown with emerald crystal and bead-embellished shoulders.

While I love the violet hue, I feel like the embellishments are too much here.

I wish it had been striped back and perhaps made thinner.

Diane Kruger In Viktor & Rolf Soir- Kering x Cannes Dinner

Diane Kruger joined Cate BlanchettChloë Sevigny and Kristen Stewart at the Kering x Cannes dinner during the 2018 Cannes Film Festival on Sunday (May 13).

Seeing her in this cotton candy pink Viktor & Rolf Soir dress brought a smile to my face. The sugary shade coupled with the sprinkling of embellishment and gentle flare carries such prettiness and was a change of pace from her typical trendy-with-an-edge style.

The short length and silver accessories prevent it from becoming saccharine.

I appreciate that she made it her own with accessories especially as I could see her carrying off the bow slides.

Naomi Campbell In Poiret – ‘Blackkklansman’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

I was excited to see Naomi Campbell on the red carpet tonight (May 14) for the premiere of ‘Blackkklansman’ at Cannes Film Festival.

That’S because she gave a red carpet debut to the relaunched brand, Poiret.

Paul Poiret is generally remembered for his extravagance and the richness of his ornamentation and fabrics, and it looks like designer Yiqing Yin, has perfectly capture the essence of the brand in just this dress alone.

Naomi’s version with the bronze bow gave this look an edge and over-the-top element which fits right at home at Cannes.

Unlike Miss Jenner, Naomi’s dress was enhanced with rich embellishments to preserve her modesty.

The dress is gorgeous, her makeup is stunning, her hair is perfection, as are those emerald and diamond jewels. Its just a shame about the shoes.
