Jessica Mauboy In Dolce & Gabbana – 2014 ARIA Awards

Jessica Mauboy In Dolce & Gabbana - 2014 ARIA Awards

Before taking to the stage to perform, Jessica Mauboy hit the red carpet at the 28th Annual ARIA Awards held at the Star earlier today (November 26) in Sydney, Australia.

The gorgeous singer wore a Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2014 rich mauve tunic, enriched with colour floral appliqués and crystal accents, which was shorter, sassier and possessed a more youthful flare than the version which took to the runway.

Thankfully she didn’t feel the need to go for any over-the-top styling, making the look her own with just a pair of gold Louboutins topping off the look.

This was my favourite look on the night.

Delta Goodrem In Steven Khalil – 2014 ARIA Awards

Delta Goodrem In Steven Khalil - 2014 ARIA Awards

Delta Goodrem made a welcome return to the red carpet for the 28th Annual ARIA Awards held at the Star earlier today (November 26) in Sydney, Australia.

The Australian singer wore a Steven Khalil black look with a twist which may please those over the sheer trend.

From what I can make out the look is in three parts: bodysuit, leggings/tights and a sheer leather appliqué skirt.

Well, someone had to take this trend up a notch, and this is the most interesting interpretation yet.

A silver bodychain really wasn’t needed; the dress sold itself.

Sexy bed hair and silvery eye makeup completed the look.

Did she overcook it with the jewelry?

Katy Perry In Jamie Lee – 2014 ARIA Awards

Katy Perry In Jamie Lee - 2014 ARIA Awards

It was so good to see Katy Perry back on the red carpet while attending the 28th Annual ARIA Awards held at the Star earlier today (November 26) in Sydney, Australia.

The singer was on top form selecting a typically eye-popping, provocative look from Perth designer Jamie Lee Major.

Her custom-design crystal-encrusted demi-couture two-piece, made using diaphanous lace, was styled with a knotted headband by Melbourne label A-Esque, violet Louboutin drop earrings, a tooth jewel and a nose ring.

Some might frown at the revealing elements of her skirt, but this is a music event where showcasing a bit of skin is mandatory.

This look, which is full of energy, a touch of sex appeal, fun-loving spirit and personality, was sorely missing from the AMA’s red carpet.

I am loving this from head to toe.

Margot Robbie In Ellery – Stakes Day

Margot Robbie In Ellery - Stakes Day

Following her attendance at the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards in London last week, Margot Robbie returned home for the Swisse Marquee on Stakes Day held at Flemington Racecourse on Saturday (November 8) in Melbourne, Australia.

Opting for hints of yellow again, the actress wore an Ellery Resort 2015 top and fitted skirt for a very feminine silhouette, styled with a distinctive M2Malletier gold top-handle clutch and Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals.

I can’t help but be entranced by this summery offering, but I can’t get on board with the headpiece.

While it is a fun alternative to the more traditional wide-brim hats we are more accustomed to at these Ladies Day race events, it’s totally out of tune with everything north of her shoulders.

Nicole Kidman In Prada – Celebrate Life Ball

Nicole Kidman In Prada - Celebrate Life Ball

Nicole Kidman attended the Celebrate Life Ball at held Grand Hyatt Melbourne on Friday (June 13) in Melbourne, Australia.

The actress looked radiant wearing a Prada blush-coloured gown with silver embellishments which she styled with silver jewels and at times a black mask.

When should Miuccia have stopped when applying the bling?

I would say at the neckline and shoulders. They were two steps too far for me.

What say you?

Cate Blanchett In Chanel – ‘How To Train Your Dragon 2′ Sydney Premiere

Cate Blanchett In Chanel - 'How To Train Your Dragon 2' Sydney Premiere

Following the LA premiere for ‘How To Train Your Dragon 2′ with American Ferrera on Sunday evening, Cate Blanchett took up the Australian leg of the tour earlier today (June 9), attending the Sydney premiere held at Event Cinemas George Street.

The Australian actress kept up the colourful embellished bodice trend she started at the Cannes Film Festival premiere, this time donning a Chanel Resort 2015 flared-sleeve black frock.

Her dress, which also features buttoned detailing going down both sides of the skirt, was styled with simple black pumps and little else in the way of jewels or a clutch.

She just let the dress and that heart-warming smile do all the work.

We weren’t too enamoured with her previous Givenchy gown, so how does this look fare?
