Angelababy In Balenciaga - 2013 Sina Weibo Awards

Angelababy joined Yao Chen and Zhang Ziyi on the red carpet for the 2013 Sina Weibo Awards Ceremony held at the China World Trade Center Tower 3 in Beijing, China on Monday evening.

The Asian actress/model wore her second look from the Balenciaga Spring 2013 collection.

Her look featured a sculptural long-sleeved top with ruffled cuffs and a ruffled peplum, which she styled with an asymmetrical skirt with a slashed cut-out at the back.

This cleavage-enhancing look was styled with Balenciaga rings, which we’ve seen on Kristen Stewart, a Cartier cuff and black Giuseppe Zanotti platform peep-toes.

I much prefer Angelababy’s first Balenciaga look. The issue I have with this look is that the skirt appears to be too long. This is the same issue Amanda Seyfried had when she wore a similar look from the same collection.

Yao Chen In Lanvin - 2013 Sina Weibo Awards

Yao Chen joined Zhang Ziyi on the red carpet for the 2013 Sina Weibo Awards held at the China World Trade Center Tower 3 in Beijing, China on Monday evening.

Also opting for a slicked-back ‘do, the Chinese actress wore a Lanvin Spring 2013 dress.

Her sleeveless mini dress, featuring a mannequin photographic print, was styled with an Olympia Le-Tan clutch and metallic-silver Jimmy Choo pumps.

Chen’s clutch is competing with her dress. I think she should’ve opted for a clutch in a solid colour.

Overall, I’m not crazy about this look either.

Zhang Ziyi In Fendi - 2013 Sina Weibo Awards

Zhang Ziyi attended the 2013 Sina Weibo Awards held at the China World Trade Center Tower 3 in Beijing, China on Monday evening.

The actress wore a simple white Fendi gown with an open back for the occasion.

While I like the decorative beaded Fendi baguette, the crystal-embellished Christian Louboutin ‘Decora’ platform pumps bring down everything good about this look.

The gown is just OK: it’s far from being up to Ziyi’s usual best. The shoes kill the look for me.

Zhang Xinyi In Diane von Furstenberg - Sohu Fashion Achievement Awards

Chinese actress Zhang Xinyi attended the Sohu Fashion Achievement Awards at the China World Hotel Beijing in Beijing, China.

Donning a casual look from Diane von Furstenberg’s Spring 2013 collection, she went all-white in a billowy top with keyhole detail and a slim trouser.

However, there wasn’t much notable achievement in this ensemble. Rather than translate as sleek and sophisticated as it did on the runway, the outfit fell flat.

The sleeves lost some of their cool volume, and her pants were too baggy, too long and ill-fitting. A blue shoulder handbag interfered even more with the lines of this look.

Tang Wei In Antonio Berardi - ‘Finding Mr Right’ Press Conference

Chinese actress Tang Wei attended the ‘Finding Mr. Right’ press conference on Thursday at the Grand Millennium Hotel in Beijing, China.

She wore a blue, grey and cream geometric-print Antonio Berardi Spring 2013 dress with a fitted bodice and full-skirted ruffled bottom.

The geometric pattern looks very appealing on her small frame and the fullness of the skirt gives her some shape. I really love this dress on her.

Sparkling grey pumps, blue crystal drop earrings and a crystal cocktail ring accessorized her look, with her long hair styled in soft, pretty curls to provide the finishing touch.

I do love this look, but I wish she had opted for strappy sandals to go with her sporty frock.

Yao Chen In Valentino - Sohu Fashion Achievement Awards

Yao Chen joined a host of stars on the red carpet for the Sohu Fashion Achievement Awards held at China World Hotel Beijing in China on Tuesday evening.

The actress wore a Valentino Fall 2012 dress.

Her sleeveless nude dress, enriched with floral embroidery, was styled with a red shoulder bag, gold-spiked white Louboutin pumps, and Pomellato jewels.

Like Angelababy, who also attended this event, this gown is a rerun. You may remember that Keira Knightley owned this when she wore it back in June last year.

It doesn’t quite have that magical feel a second time around, plus I would’ve preferred a red clutch to a shoulder bag.
