Miriam Yeung In Vionnet - 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards

Miriam Yeung attended the 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards on Sunday (April 13) in Hong Kong, China.

Joining the soft-pastel-hue brigade, the actress looked stunning wearing a Vionnet Spring 2014 white halter gown emphasized with a lemon draped bodice.

On the runway the look was styled with an orange necklace, so I love that Miriam made the look her own by selecting a Bulgari diamond-encrusted serpent necklace, which complemented the rest of her jewels.

A simple updo and a Charlotte Olympia ‘Pandora’ perspex clutch completed her look. (I’m ignoring the platform glitter heels)

There were so many great looks at this event. As always, these ladies know a thing or two about excelling on the red carpet.

Tang Wei In Escada - 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards

Tang Wei attended the 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards on Sunday (April 13) in Hong Kong, China.

Opting for a moody floral-print Escada Fall 2014 strapless gown, the look was styled with a delicate diamond necklace which I think the look didn’t need.

There were so many pretty pastel shades and bold hues on this red carpet that this gorgeous more sombre approach was quite refreshing.

Du Juan In Prada - 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards

Du Juan joined a host of gorgeous stars on the red carpet for the 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards on Sunday (April 9) in Hong Kong, China.

Here we have yet another Prada gown but, unlike Gemma Arterton’s show stopper, I’m only half onboard with this look: the top half.

I’m totally baffled by the dual-coloured black-and-red taffeta skirt; it looks ill-thought-out and doesn’t combine with the beautiful pink tulle stretch top enriched with crystal all-over embroidery, which I adore.

What Miuccia gives with one hand, she takes away with the other.

I wish she would give us consistently brilliant red carpet gowns, because when they are good, they are breathtaking.

Angelababy In Zuhair Murad Couture - 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards

Angelababy, as always, was the belle of the ball.

She looked heavenly gliding down the red carpet for the 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards on Sunday (April 9) in Hong Kong.

Wearing an embellished and embroidered blush-coloured Zuhair Murad Spring 2014 Couture gown, she fulfilled the princess quota to a tee.

Keeping the hair and makeup very simple, she added an elaborate bedazzled cocktail ring to her look.

She was easily my favourite on this red carpet.

Carina Lau In Ralph & Russo Couture - 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards

Carina Lau joined a host of stars on the red carpet for the 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards on Sunday (April 9) in Hong Kong.

Wearing her third look from Ralph & Russo’s Spring 2014 Couture collection, this is, I have to say, is my least favourite.

I loved the piece on the runway, however, in reality I’m not a fan of the sheer embellished trousers on the 48-year-old actress.

With regards to the styling, those Christian Louboutin glitter shoes, which I can’t get on board with for any look, somewhat cheapen this Couture look.
