Pace Wu In Valentino - 'Pace Wu's Style Book Fashion Alive' Book Launch

On Christmas day (December 25) Pace Wu was busy celebrating the launch of her new fashion book, ‘Pace Wu’s Style Book: Fashion Alive’ while we were all busy opening our Christmas presents.

The model/actress at that point was 8 months pregnant (would you believe it), wearing a lemon Valentino Resort 2014 short-sleeve trapeze dress, which does a great job of lightly showcasing (but mostly covering) her bump.

Not allowing anything to compromise her style, Pace completed her look with 6 in. aqua blue Christian Louboutin pumps.

I think she already takes the Best Maternity Style of 2014 award with just one perfect look.

Zhang Ziyi In Valentino - 15th China Huabiao Film Awards

Zhang Ziyi attended the 15th China Huabiao Film Awards held at China Central Television Headquarters last Tuesday, December 26, in Beijing, China.

The Asian beauty selected a Valentino Spring 2014 folkloric-inspired, printed long-sleeved, sheer tulle gown featuring a high round neck, an A-line waist, a full skirt and colourful corded lace and embroidery detailing throughout.

She added a thin blue waistband which colour coordinated with her gown. A simple side-parted bun and small drop earrings completed the look.

The decorative festive gown was perfect for both the occasion and season (despite it being a spring gown, it has a fall feel), but I feel like I’m starting to miss Zhang’s experimental period. This look is very expected.

Angelababy In Stella McCartney - Bazaar Jewelry Gala Dinner

Angelababy attended the Bazaar Jewelry gala dinner held at Park Hyatt Hotel on Wednesday (December 18) in Beijing, China.

You will all be very familiar with this glamorous Stella McCartney gown with its cut-away sides and gold metal belt, as it has been gracing the red carpet quite frequently since last year, much to some of your annoyance.

This yellow version seems to have reignited celebs’ love for this gown; you may remember Alicia Keys wore this same gown earlier this month.

Angelababy’s styling is fairly simple – sparkling jewels, neutral makeup and glossy waves – but I’m more intrigued by the red heels I can see peeking out beneath her gown.

You can buy Angelababy’s Stella McCartney Gown from Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus.

TVB Anniversary Awards

The TVB Anniversary Awards took place in Hong Kong, China on Monday evening (December 16), with celebs taking to the red carpet for the event.

Niki Chow: Putting the capital D into drama, the actress wore a Stéphane Rolland Fall 2013 Couture look consisting of a bandeau top, high-waist black pants and a dramatic cape with a jewelled neckline and shimmering appliqués at the hemline.

Nancy Wu: The actress wore a Roberto Cavalli Fall 2013 long-sleeved suede-and-chiffon gown embroidered with Swarovski crystals, which you may remember we saw on Liya Kebede during Cannes Film Festival.

Myolie Wu: This look is also a repeat. You may remember that Sonam Kapoor was the first to wear this Prabal Gurung Resort 2014 black-and-white ensemble. The look features a tuxedo jacket in a wrap-style silhouette with a notched lapel, styled with wide-leg tuxedo pants with contrast stripes and waistband; on this occasion the pants are way too long for Myolie and have been poorly hemmed.

Carina Lau In Giambattista Valli Couture - 'Modern Weekly' 15th Anniversary BanquetCarina Lau arrived at the 15th anniversary banquet for the lifestyle magazine, ‘Modern Weekly,’ held in Shanghai, China on Saturday (December 14).

The Hong Kong actress wore a pearl-coloured design from the Giambattista Valli Spring 2013 Couture collection.

A balance of structure and delicacy, the frock featured a netted, embroidered overlay along with an exaggerated cape at the back.

I’m not sold on her styling, though. With the harsher metallic tones radiating from her clutch and peep-toe platform heels, along with a statement necklace that did nothing to complement the dress’s silhouette, this look lost some of its charm.

Perhaps softer makeup tones in blush-nudes and pinks would have helped complete the picture. What do you think?

Xu Qing In Zuhair Murad Couture - Van Cleef & Arpels Dinner

Xu Qing swept onto the scene at the Van Cleef & Arpels dinner, held in Beijing, China over the weekend.

The Chinese actress wore a nude silk Zuhair Murad cap-sleeve ball gown, hand-embroidered in electric blue twigs, from the Fall 2013 Couture collection.

The epitome of gothic glamour, the elegance of this confection was intensified with the more sinister edge of those barren tree branches that twisted across the entire design. The skirt’s frothy tulle overlay delivered a sense of fairytale enchantment.

While the dress may have been a dark beauty, Xu complemented it with a lighter touch—minimal jewels, save for a cocktail ring, accessorized the look whilst a petal pink lip added a soft note.

Zhang Ziyi In Elie Saab Couture - 56th Asia-Pacific Film Festival Awards Ceremony

Zhang Ziyi poses with her best actress trophy during the 56th Asia-Pacific Film Festival Awards presentation ceremony held at The Venetian Macao on Sunday (December 15) in Macau, China.

Also wearing her second look of the day, the actress donned another couture look, this time from Elie Saab’s Spring 2013 Couture collection.

Sweeping her hair up on this occasion, the actress styled her short-sleeved embellished frock with the same silver jewels from look one, with Louboutin pumps complementing the look.
