'Mandela Long Walk To Freedom' Special Screening Red Carpet Roundup

There were some models who took to the red carpet yesterday evening for the ‘Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom’ screening hosted by U2, Anna Wintour, and Bob and Harvey Weinstein with Burberry in New York City.

Anne V: Working a black-and-red look, the model wore a Versace Fall 2013 embossed sleeveless dress with black accessories in the same manner as Nieves Alvarez. I would’ve loved her to have worked either fierce smoky eyes or a bold lip colour with this look.

Chanel Iman: She did work a smoky eye with her pretty J. Mendel Resort 2014 seafoam silk-mousseline and satin-faced chiffon gown featuring geometric-cut pleating.

Sessilee Lopez: Turning to her go-to designer and friend Zac Posen, the pregnant model donned a Zac Posen pretty printed Spring 2014 gown with ruffled shoulders and a V-neckline.

Considering the star of the movie Naomie Harris didn’t wear a gown, did Chanel Iman and Sessilee Lopez overdress for this screening?

Juliette Lewis In Zac Posen - 'August Osage County' AFI Fest Premiere

Juliette Lewis attended the 2013 AFI Fest premiere of ‘August: Osage County’, held at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, California last Friday.

While the actress’s wild child reputation precedes her much of the time, there was no trace of it to be seen here.

She chose a burgundy Zac Posen Spring 2014 gown featuring spaghetti straps, delicate floral appliqué on the bodice, and a floor-length hemline that showed off a sliver of her Chelsea Paris ‘Celina’ heels.

To complete the look, her H. Stern triangle drop earrings and Jimmy Choo tube clutch were paired with blunt bangs, a swept-back updo, and a complementary shade of crimson lipstick.

Are you a fan of Juliette’s “tamer” side?

Katy Perry In Zac Posen - 2013 MTV EMAs

Katy Perry took a fairly conservative approach for the 2013 MTV EMAs, which was held at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam this evening.

I was expecting something far more provocative, but that doesn’t mean I am disappointed by her efforts.

The singer wore a Zac Posen Resort 2014 aqua-blue satin frock flared back hem in the designers signature fitted silhouette which hugged her gorgeous figure.

Opting for a bejewelled Dolce & Gabbana headband, she simply styled the look with Charlotte Olympia open-toe nude platforms and red nails.

I love the retro-meets-modern glamour appeal.

Where you expecting more? Do you wish quirky Katy came out to play?

Dita Von Teese In Zac Posen - Cecconi's Restaurant

Dita Von Teese was spotted lunching at Cecconi’s Restaurant in West Hollywood, California yesterday afternoon.

Reaching for the non-black side of her closet, the burlesque model wore a Zac Posen Spring 2013 frock.

Her fitted floral-print dress with sheer ruffle-detail flutter sleeves, a plunging V-neck and a ruffled skirt was styled with a pair of maroon patent-leather wedges, a matching leather clutch and sexy cat-eye Tom Ford shades.

I love the effortlessness and colour coordination of this look and, of course, I love the fact that it’s a pretty, flirty dress that is not in her favoured colour.

Adrienne Bailon In Zac Posen - 2013 NCLA ALMA Awards

Adrienne Bailon attended the 2013 NCLA ALMA Awards held at Pasadena Civic Auditorium in California on Friday.

The singer donned a gold-sequinned Zac Posen gown, which she styled with gold jewels.

I can’t say I am a huge fan of this gown or her makeup. The combination of the two makes this look feel rather dated.

There may be a touch of pre-bias in my analysis as I have never found Adrienne’s style appealing.
