Red Carpet Fashion Awards

It’s not often that sexy Reese Witherspoon comes out to play, but it was hard not to notice her on the red carpet at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards this evening.

With her ‘just got out of bed’ tousled hair she wore a scarlet dress by her go-to designer Zac Posen.

Her Pre-Fall 2012 bustier gown was teamed with diamond bracelets.

This may be a very familiar silhouette for Reese, but the styling and her sassy attitude takes this up several notches.

Jessica Chastain attended yet another event this week as the red carpet heats up ahead of awards season.

She was radiant at the National Board of Review Awards Gala in New York City yesterday wearing a Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2011 dress.

The Chinoiserie embroidered dress was a much better look for her.

I love the dark rouge lip colour and the messy updo, but I’m not a fan of the thick strap sandals on this occasion.

I love Coco Rocha, I really do, but she was overdressed once again at ‘The Iron Lady’ New York premiere last night.

The supermodel wore a Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2012 gown, which is our first look from all the recent Pre-Fall 2012 collections on the red carpet.

The gown is beautiful, there is no denying that, but considering everyone arrived in mostly simple LBDs, and considering this wasn’t her premiere, a full-length Golden Globe Award worthy gown with a long train is a tad much.

You may remember she pulled a similar stunt at the Versace for H&M launch party.

Dita von Teese’s risqué Tadashi Shoji gown was the clear winner for best dressed this week.

The burlesque star added her signature red lipstick, 1940’s Marcel waves and diamond drop earrings to complete her sultry look..

In the wrong hands this gown could’ve headed down to Tackyville, USA, but Dita oozes elegance and sophistication every time she hits the red carpet and this was no exception.

You will not be surprised that Iman was my favourite this week.

The maths was quite simple.

One of my favourite diva’s + a Zac Posen Spring 2012 gown = red carpet perfection.

Iman on the red carpet is always a special moment, but it was made that much more special at the 2011 Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s Opening Night Gala performance in New York City last night.

That’s because the uber model was wearing the first look from the Zac Posen Spring 2012 collection.

As you know, this was my favourite Spring 2012 show, so to see a glamazon like Iman don the first look is truly a ‘we are not worthy’ moment for me.

I was patiently waiting for award season, so it feels like Christmas has come early.

With her hair swept up in retro marcel waves, Iman looked sensational wearing a burgundy silk-faille pleated gown which is doing so many amazingly great things to her impossibly spectacular body.

I could’ve lived without the necklace, but I do love her matchy clutch.

Iman continues to outdo herself and defy her years. I will always be in total awe of this woman.

Demi Moore opted for colour on the red carpet for the ‘Margin Cell’ New York premiere.

The actress, who has a preference for wearing only black, chose this red Zac Posen dress.

Her red leopard taffeta dress with shoulder pads was, of course, paired with black Brian Atwood pumps – no change there.

The black velvet ‘Kasha’ pumps have a studded detail along the heel to provide an interesting twist.

Forevermark diamond jewelry, a black clutch and trademark sleek, straight locks completed her look.
