Rooney Mara In Vera Wang – ‘For The Love Of Cinema’ Event

Rooney Mara wore yet another bi-colour look while attending the ‘For The Love Of Cinema’ event hosted by Swiss luxury watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France on Sunday alongside Naomi Watts and Karolina Kurkova.

The actress wore a Vera Wang Fall 2013 black-and-stone layered look with a charcoal bralet overlay, which she styled with Brian Atwood ‘Aida’ sandals.

It’s an interesting look which is strangely simple and complex at the same time.

I always find the berry lip colour so harsh on Rooney. I wish she would consider different options, much like her dress colours on the red carpet.

At this point, I would have a heart attack if she wore pink, for example.

Kerry Washington made a sterling effort to infuse some punk in her pretty look while taking to the red carpet for the 2013 Met Gala in New York on Monday.

The ‘Scandal’ actress wore a custom Vera Wang sleeveless V-neck lavender metallic floral print mermaid gown featuring a silk and lace flange detail within the train and chrysanthemum lace peplum accent.

What made this look punk?

I would say the sexy fishnet panel in the plunge, her black leather opera gloves, and the sexy cat-eye makeup.

Katy Perry In Vera Wang – 2013 Delete Blood Cancer Gala

Vera Wang was honoured at the seventh Delete Blood Cancer DKMS Gala at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City for her promotion of Delete Blood Cancer’s ‘Share the Love’ campaign, encouraging people to get swabbed and to register as bone marrow donors.

She was presented with the award by Katy Perry, who is having a very stylish week.

The singer wore a Vera Wang azure Indian damask strapless gown which used the print from the designer’s Spring 2013 collection.

I can’t gush enough about how much I love this.

It fits like a glove, plus the singer looks so regal and poised, styling her hair into a retro updo, with a raspberry lip and stunning amethyst earrings which offset the royal blue perfectly.

A box clutch and red manicure completed her look.

This is a BDOTW contender for me. Does it work for you?

Emilia Clarke In Vera Wang – Live! With Kelly & Michael

Emilia Clarke made a guest appearance on ‘Live! With Kelly & Michael’ in New York City, which aired on Monday.

The British actress was on the show to talk about ‘Games of Thrones’ star and her Broadway stint as Holly Golightly in ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ .

She shared a story about her first week in New York, where a car came out of nowhere, almost running her over, she so slammed her hand on the hood and shouted, “Hey! I’m walking over here”, before walking away saying to herself, “YES, I’m a New Yorker”.

Emilia looked very pretty wearing a Vera Wang Pre-Fall 2013 amethyst satin floral jacquard dress, which she styled with matching pumps.

Her makeup artist went lighter on the eye makeup on this occasion, with glossy lips and a half-up, half-down hairstyle completing her look.

Nicole Kidman In Vera Wang – 2013 Grammy Awards

Nicole Kidman was the ‘plus one’ to her musical hubby Keith Urban at the 2013 Grammy Awards, hosted on Sunday evening at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

But the actress didn’t downplay her red-carpet entrance at the event, selecting a Vera Wang dress that was lovely on her statuesque frame.

The soft metallic gown featured a delicate lacy overlay, as it flaunted the very-familiar sheer trend from the mid-thigh down.

Fred Leighton jewels, along with Nicole’s straight hair and radiant nude makeup, provided just the right edge for this glamorous design.
