Rita Ora In Vera Wang – Montblanc Meisterstuck Le Petit Prince Event

Rita Ora was serving up a modern take on royal house of Tudor fashion at the Montblanc Meisterstuck Le Petit Prince event on Wednesday (April 4) in New York City.

I love the concept of armour, as this Vera Wang Fall 2018 plays with exaggerated silhouettes where sleeves are emboldened, shoulders are exaggerated and the peplum becomes structural.

It’s not an easy look to pull off. But I feel that Rita wasn’t overwhelmed by its many complexities and carries the look gracefully.

2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Red Carpet Roundup

The crush of beauties continued in full force on the red carpet of the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party last night (March 4) in Beverly Hills, California.

Odeya Rush: The young starlet was a vision in this neon-bright chartreuse Vivienne Westwood Couture gown. The sculptural, one-shoulder ruffle detail is nothing we haven’t seen before, but the bold colour made the look feel dynamic. I do think she could have offered up a more youthful beauty look—and less bronzer—to accompany the sophisticated sass of the gown.

Dree Hemingway: There was a delicate daintiness to this Valentino Pre-Fall 2018 nude, embellished lace gown, which Dree echoed in her minimal hair and makeup. The yellow-tinged, ribbon belt made all the difference in breathing a bit of life into the neutral dress, with Repossi jewels to complete the look.

Mary J. Blige In Vera Wang – 2018 Oscars Performance

I think many of us can agree that Mary J. Blige was at her glamorous best on the 2018 Oscars red carpet on Sunday (March 4) in Hollywood, California.

And, she kept the elegance going strong for her second look of the night during her emotional performance of ‘Mighty River’ from ‘Mudbound.’

She changed into a custom Vera Wang gown for her time on stage, and what I loved most about this look was the rich burgundy hue.

The off-the-shoulder chiffon sleeves contributed a traditionally romantic quality, but yet again, I would say it was her hair that brought the attitude and the edgy spark to elevate the look and make it her own.

Taraji P. Henson In Vera Wang – 2018 Oscars

Taraji P. Henson turned plenty of heads at the 2018 Oscars on Sunday (March 4) in Hollywood.

She celebrated all of her assets in a custom Vera Wang chiffon gown that certainly turned up the heat.

From afar, I like the direction of the seductive romance of this look.

However, I feel as if the super-see-through component of the top area coupled with the dangerously high slit may have taken it a few steps too far into eyebrow-raising territory.

A dark plum lip coupled with Jimmy Choo ‘Minny’ sandals completed the effect.

2018 BAFTA Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Black gowns dominated the 2018 BAFTAs on Sunday (February 18) at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England, but the red carpet was by no means boring with celebrities showing their support for the Time’s Up movement in a wide array of striking looks.

Letitia Wright: Showing a darker side of Gucci, the ‘Black Panther’ actress, who was one of the presenters on the night, looks charming in a belted dress. The bug-like embroidery perks up the black velvet base. Some have remarked how the brands looks sometimes suffer from too many details, but this one has the balance right.

Sally Hawkins: The Best Actress in a Leading Role nominee for ‘The Shape of Water’, shone in a Ralph & Russo gown. This is a more sensual look for her with the slashes in the bodice revealing a coquettish hint of skin. I wish she played into the theme more with romantic wavy hair.

Anya Taylor-Joy: Last year’s Rising Star Award nominee embraced the sexy glamour of Dolce & Gabbana in a black lace dress and golden crown. I can already hear the chants of people wishing the skirt was lined, and I must agree.
