Stella McCartney Resort 2015 Presentation

Stella McCartney Resort 2015 Presentation

Stella McCartney presented her Resort 2015 collection at Elizabeth Street Gardens on Thursday (June 5) in New York City, which, as always, was a celebrity affair, although the usual suspects were not in attendance.

Amber Heard: The actress donned a Stella McCartney black, orange and maroon mini dress with fringe detailing and a sculptured hemline from the Fall 2014 collection. I can’t say I’m a fan of this dress to begin with, but the accessories are not working with it either.

Helena Christensen: When it comes to the supermodel’s Stella McCartney ‘Alan’ lace and silk organza dress, it was very much a case of “this is more like it”. She was the picture of modern femininity in this romantic Spring 2014 look, which she effortlessly styled with silver sandals and a two-tone clutch.

Charlize Theron In Stella McCartney – ‘A Million Ways To Die In The West’ London Photocall

Charlize Theron In Stella McCartney - 'A Million Ways To Die

Charlize Theron joined Amanda Seyfried at the ‘A Million Ways To Die In The West’ London photo call, hosted on Tuesday (May 27) at Claridges.

The actress also took the LBD route; hers a Stella McCartney Spring 2014 black python jacquard dress with exaggerated sleeves.

She accented the leggy ensemble with understated black sandals, along with delicate emerald earrings, a softly textured updo and a ruby-red pout.

Sometimes minimal looks can deliver maximum impact. I have a feeling that was the case here, although some of the more subtle detailing and silhouette of the dress may be lost in photographs.

Suki Waterhouse In Stella McCartney – Chopard Dinner

Suki Waterhouse In Stella McCartney - Chopard Dinner
Suki Waterhouse was also at the Chopard Dinner on Monday (May 19), hosted at the Cannes-Mandelieu Aerodrome during the 67th annual Cannes Film Festival, where she joined a range of other models and Sonam Kapoor.

Instead of a long gown, she opted for a slightly shorter silhouette in a Stella McCartney Spring 2014 plunge-front dress that unfortunately came equipped with a few wrinkles.

Although not as dramatic as a floor-sweeping design, the dress’s silken golden ivory colour still delivered an intense dose of liquid shine that was further elevated via the host’s jewels, including a sparkling choker necklace and bracelet.

The nude Christian Louboutin ‘Iriza’ pumps, on the other hand, removed some of the elegance. Perhaps the intent was for the shoes to disappear, providing a leg-lengthening effect.

An intense matte red lip, strong brow, and side-pinned, curled locks referenced a vintage-glam spirit.

As much as I’d like to get on board with this look, it all seemed a strange combination of style bedfellows—from the dress’s sporty racerback detail to the glitzy Chopard jewels and the lacklustre luncheon shoes.

Charlize Theron In Stella McCartney - The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Charlize Theron was in New York City for a guest appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on Tuesday (May 20), in promotion of her raucous new comedy, ‘A Million Ways to Die in the West.’

The actress brought a bold dash of one of my favourite shades of blue to the set in her Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2014 short-sleeve dress, paired with Christian Louboutin ‘Laurence Anyway’ black cage sandals.

The silhouette was a simple one; all the better to let the beauty of the saturated cerulean hue really shine.

Wearing her chic bob in a flipped, slightly retro style, she completed the look with a watermelon-hued lip.
