Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Nina Dobrev In Monique Lhuillier - 2013 Critics' Choice Movie AwardsWith divine looks like the one Nina Dobrev debuted at last night’s 2013 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, it’s not hard to see why she was our Breakout Star of 2012.

‘The Vampire Diaries’ starlet has conquered the red carpet yet again with her Monique Lhuillier Spring 2013 cocktail frock the color of turquoise-blue waters.

Taken right from the runway, the dress had a keyhole detail at the bodice and a rounded tulip-style skirt. Generously studded with radiant gems, the look was almost one of a giant piece of rock crystal candy. Delicious!

Nina really even looks better in the dress than the model.

Her simple black Brian Atwood ‘Evie’ sandals with a thin ankle strap ensured that no attention was taken away from Monique’s main attraction.

A slicked-back ponytail didn’t intrude with the neckline of the dress either, while nude makeup finished the look.

Eva Longoria In Monique Lhuillier - 2013 Critics' Choice Movie AwardsEva Longoria frequently favors Monique Lhuillier to outfit her dazzling red-carpet entrances, and the 2013 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California was no exception.

Last night, the actress was the ultimate glamour gal in a fuchsia hourglass gown from the designer’s Spring 2013 collection. The sultriness of this high-neck design was flaunted through its figure-hugging silhouette, a long flowing train and in the piped mini-ruffle detail that shaped the dress.

Because Eva is so petite, the gown did appear much longer on her than on the runway model. But she still carried it well.

She did leave the raspberry to just the dress, going for a jet-black Ferragamo clutch and a nude lip. And rather than a flower in her hair, as seen on the runway, a sleek updo with bouffant-style volume at the top finished this look with a bang.

Ginnifer Goodwin In Monique Lhuillier - Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

Ginnifer Goodwin made a guest appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to promote season 2 of her tv series, ‘Once Upon a Time’.

The actress wore one of her favourite designers, Monique Lhuillier, decked out in the colour of the moment wearing a look from her Resort 2012 collection.

A poppy-red silk-and-lace top was styled with a matching flared skirt, which was fitted around the waist.

Giving us a rare big smile, Ginnifer styled her look with nude Louboutin platform peep-toes and barely-there makeup.

VH1 Divas 2012

There were many more stars attending the ‘VH1 Divas’ 2012 event held at the Shrine Auditorium yesterday evening in California.

Kelly Rowland: Usually I’m a big fan of Kelly Rowland’s style, but I was left disappointed by this emerald-green A. F. Vandevorst Fall 2012 wrap gown. There is not much going on with it; it’s like she just wrapped fabric around herself before stepping out. Some form of styling would’ve lifted the look, but that was lacking all round. Even her fringed Nicholas Kirkwood sandals couldn’t save this look.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum: I don’t know about you, but when I saw Jenna in this baby-blue empire-waist strapless Temperley gown with a beaded bodice, the first word to come to my head was ‘pregnant’. This look feels too twee for a ‘Divas’ event. (Update: So I was right. Jenna is pregnant with her first child. Congrats to the happy couple)

Stacy Keibler: The actress channelled her inner diva wearing an all-black Monique Lhuillier Fall 2012 suit, which featured a revealing open jacket, a leather waistband and leather panels on the pants. Factor in Jimmy Choo pointy pumps, a Giuseppe Zanotti clutch and blown-out locks and you have one hot look. Read more…

Krysten Ritter made a guest appearance on the Jay Leno show last night, where she talked about her birthday plans and her cherry-red Prius, which she has pimped out with rims and blacked-out windows.

Coincidentally, she was also dressed in red, wearing one of her favourite designers, Monique Lhuillier.

The Fall 2012 fitted suede dress with a zebra patterned lace bodice and the signature leather waistband was styled with a gorgeous pair of Jimmy Choo ‘Diffuse’ strappy sandals – she never fails in the shoe department.

A Krysten Ritter look wouldn’t be complete without some red lippie, which also matched her manicure.

Her glossy raven locks were swept up into a high ponytail on this occasion.

Rose Byrne opted for a volcanic look for her guest appearance at the Sephora Times Square store, where she cut the ribbon for the grand reopening earlier today.

Dressed in a red-and-black printed cocktail Monique Lhuillier Fall 2012 dress with a drop-waist, she styled the look with tight curls and a salmon lip colour, which was a surprising choice considering red would’ve been the more obvious one.

I really like Rose’s black Gio Dev pumps. Before you think I’m coming down with something, what I like about them is the red piping detail, which coordinates well with her red-and-black printed frock.
