Queen Letizia of Spain In Giorgio Armani & Topshop – UK State Visit

Queen Letizia of Spain proved she is the reigning champion of modern regal style on day two and three of her state visit to the United Kingdom.

On Thursday she turned heads as she attended a lavish banquet at Guildhall looking so very elegant wearing a Giorgio Armani gown which draped beautifully, enhancing her slender silhouette.

Blue is most definitely her colour, choosing to accessorise her look with sapphire jewels along with a shimmering tiara. I much prefer this over her red Felipe Varela gown.

On Friday, the third and final day of their visit, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain visited the Francis Crick Institute, before saying their goodbyes to their royal hosts at Buckingham Palace.

I was both surprised and delighted to see the Queen wearing a Topshop pleat front ’40s style skirt with an asymmetrial wrap top.

Her maroon pumps threw me off for a second, until I saw the details on her raffia clutch bag which tied things together.

I would say this was a very successful trip for the Queen of Spain.

Front Row @ Armani Prive Fall 2017

A trio of lovelies turned out for the Armani Prive Fall 2017 show as part of Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday (July 4), each representing a monochromatic Armani look.

Naomi Watts: While I loved the crisp structure of Naomi’s blazer, it lost some of its appeal against the exploded-floral-embroidered dress. The flared length of the frock felt awkward, but it was perhaps the nude shoe colour that was the most distracting miss.

Kate Winslet: The sparkling embellishment at the shoulder and waist of this LBD is what sold it to me—that, and how effortlessly Kate wore it. A sandal would have been preferred, though, to her Rupert Sanderson pumps.

Priyanka Chopra: Methinks the high-low hemline of this white frock ventured a bit too high. Nor did the diamond earrings mixed with the dress’s sportier drawstring detailing and black, lace-up shoes really come together.

What do you make of these three looks?

Antonella Roccuzzo weds Lionel Messi in Rosa Clará

On Friday (June 30), wedding bells were ringing for Barcelona footballer Lionel Messi and his childhood sweetheart Antonella Roccuzzo, who were married in the groom’s hometown of Rosario, Argentina.

Lionel’s Barcelona sports ties weren’t the only bit of Spain in the ceremony, as the bride wore a mermaid-style gown with a plunging, heart-shaped neckline from Spanish designer, Rosa Clará.

With allover delicate lace-embroidered flowers and a sweeping train, it merged sweetness with a more seductive quality.

As for the groom, he was dapper in a Giorgio Armani Made to Measure three-piece tuxedo in a rich, dark grey colour enlivened by a silver tie.

Lionel and Antonella’s sons, Thiago and Matteo, each took after their father in their Armani Junior custom-made, three-piece suits.

‘The Mummy’ New York Premiere

The premiere for ‘The Mummy’ took place in New York on Tuesday (June 6) with cast members Sofia Boutella and Annabelle Wallis both continuing their fine form.

Sofia Boutella: Sofia’s penchant for all things dramatic was demonstrated again in this Rodarte gown. This look is saved from being bridal by the actresses’ edgy undone hairstyle and the oversized sheer sleeve. There’s something celestial about the purity of this dress and I love that she kept her makeup pared back and her eyebrows natural. The embellishments add a beautiful flow to this dress too.

Annabelle Wallis: This look is fierce. Annabelle looks as if she’s dripping in gold, from her perfectly gently golden curls to her jewels and her custom Giorgio Armani gown itself. I love the slight plunge in the neckline and capped sleeves. The train adds a regal touch which is mirrored by the gold bracelet. Her bronze makeup is an ideal accompaniment for this golden goddess look. Simply divine.
