Mary Elizabeth Winstead in Diane von Furstenberg – 2017 Directors Guild Of America Awards

Mary Elizabeth Winstead was also at the 2017 Directors Guild Of America Awards on Saturday (February 4) in Beverly Hills.

We’ve seen the boudoir look in a number of forms lately, with this Diane von Furstenberg cutout slip dress bringing a more minimalist sensibility to the trend.

At first I questioned the more pared-back styling with her natural beauty look and only the light touch of a few Jennifer Meyer rings plus a clutch that matched the gown.

But it all brought a fresh innocence to the ensemble while maintaining its simple allure.

Emma Stone In Diane von Furstenberg, Valentino, Chanel & The Row – BAFTA Tea Party, 2017 Golden Globe Awards, ‘La La Land’ Paris & London Premiere’s

Emma Stone has been making the rounds lately on behalf of her well-received ‘La La Land’ film that’s poised to garner even more recognition on the awards circuit. She attended the BAFTA Tea Party at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles on Saturday (January 7) before the 2017 Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton the next evening. Then, it was off to two premieres for this busy star.

BAFTA Tea Party: Looking well-poised for tea, the actress wore a sweet Diane von Furstenberg polka-dot halter dress that featured a modern interpretation of retro styling. It was lovely for a daytime event.

2017 Golden Globe Awards: It was rather appropriate that Emma’s magical Valentino gown featured a constellation of stars, as she took home the win for Best Actress on Sunday (January 8). Call me star-struck, but I was charmed by the pale pink, micro-plisse gown that actually proved rather enchanting against her alabaster skin.

2015 InStyle Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2015 InStyle Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Many more beauties (and one token lad) joined the mix at the 2015 InStyle Awards, held at the Getty Center in Los Angeles, California on Monday (October 26).

Miranda Kerr: Unfortunately, the flirty spirit of the supermodel’s Ulyana Sergeenko mermaid-inspired design was compromised by the unusual bodice and faux cutouts with white seam lines that turned the top half into something of an ice-skating costume. Jimmy Choo metallic sandals and a fun topknot rounded out the look.

Michelle Williams
: Channeling her inner rocker girl, Michelle donned an edgy Louis Vuitton ensemble that brought leather, laces studs, and embellishment to the party. Rather than opt for a black sandal, she kept the tough-chic theme going strong with her shoe-boots, messy hair and kohl-rimmed eye makeup. It may have been a bit much, but it all certainly translated more effectively than Selena Gomez’s Louis Vuitton effort.

Alessandra Ambrosio
: While Alessandra’s skin-baring side cutouts were real instead of illusion-lined, this Alexandre Vauthier Couture white plunge gown was just more of the same from the supermodel who never met a cutout she didn’t like. A Lee Savage clutch completed her typically sexy look.

Jennifer Lopez In Diane von Furstenberg – ‘American Idol’ Atlanta Auditions

Jennifer Lopez In Diane von Furstenberg - 'American Idol' Atlanta Auditions

Jennifer Lopez was back for ‘American Idol’, attending auditions in Atlanta, Georgia on Sunday (September 13).

As we know, Jennifer tends to favour ultra mini dresses for AI, but on this occasion she opted for a dramatic visual in one swift move wearing a Diane von Furstenberg Resort 2016 printed jumpsuit.

I love how Jennifer sprinkled some JLo magic; turning this one-piece into a sultry look which I fully admire.

Alison Brie attended the ‘Sleeping With Other People’ photocall and premiere during the 2015 Deauville American Film Festival on Sunday (September 6) in Deauville, France.

Photocall: Showing admiration for colourful prints, this Diane von Furstenberg is prettily poised in the graceful manner. Despite the print and the cinched waist, this fell a little flat for me. She can do better.

Premiere: And she did just at the premiere, wearing a decidedly pretty Giambattista Valli Resort 2016 floral frock oozing unmistakable feminine flare. Everything from the delicate fabric to the sweet bow at the waist was further enhanced by that hot pink lip.

Celebrities Love…Tuxedo Dressing

Celebrities Love Tuxedo Inspiration

Ever since Yves Saint Laurent’s iconic ‘le smoking’ entered the sartorial scene in the ’60s, the women’s tuxedo has captivated fashion darlings with its androgynous implications and sultry, structured appeal.

Now a women’s wear classic, the tux shows no signs of exiting the style vocabulary with the celebrity set embracing it at every turn. Just recently, a flush of starlets have debuted new reinterpretations of the tux-inspired silhouette, proving it’s not solely relegated to the traditional suit.

Gabrielle Union combined two trends—the tux and transparency—and made an instantly good impression with her Akris Fall 2015 tuxedo-style, side-slit dress with sheer detailing that added a seductive softness to the tailored sleekness of the look.

Another spin on the suit came with Nina Dobrev’s Diane Von Furstenberg Fall 2015 tuxedo romper, where she amped up the charm meter by pairing it with a confetti-print blouse for a fun, youthful effect.

As for Sophia Bush, she showed just how sexy a suit can be by donning a tuxedo mini dress featuring a plunge neckline anchored by satin lapels. The result was nothing short of sophisticated glamour mixed with contemporary edge.

Step aside, guys. These tuxes are made for the girls.

Teen Choice Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Teen Choice Awards Roundup

More pretty young things took to the red carpet for the 2015 Teen Choice Awards hosted at the USC Galen Center on Sunday (August 16) in Los Angeles, California.

Shay Mitchell: The actress skipped the young and fun memo and instead channeled her inner glam-rock star in a Versus Versace scarf-print mini dress. Metallic Giuseppe Zanotti sandals reflected the gold accent buttons and belting while a sleek ‘do imparted a modern vibe.

Bella Thorne: In this Balmain coral-embroidered, corset-inspired frock, Bella took the mini to even more mini levels. She maneuvered it well despite the high potential for wardrobe malfunction between the top and the bottom. A Lee Savage gold clutch and Stuart Weitzman ‘Xchain’ sandals finished the statement.

Maia Mitchell: I loved the fresh youthfulness of the Aussie starlet’s breezy Giamba Spring 2015 white embroidered top and shorts, especially with the unique cape-like silhouette of the top that added another layer of visual interest. A long braid only added to the effortlessly cool vibe.

Nina Dobrev In Diane von Furstenberg - StyleWatch x Revolve Fall Fashion Party

Nina Dobrev attended the StyleWatch x Revolve Fall Fashion Party held on Wednesday (August 12) in New York City.

I love how the actress made this DVF Fall 2015 tuxedo jumpsuit her own.

By removing the lace panels and layering with a Diane von Furstenberg Mariah confetti tweed print blouse, she was able to dial down the sex appeal while amping up the playfulness to suit her youthful style.

With the injection of colour via her Tamara Mellon electric-blue sandals and glittering Edie Parker clutch, Nina was certainly one of the best dressed at this event.
