DVF Awards 2018

Diane von Furstenberg’s 9th annual DVF Awards 2018 were held on Friday (April 13) in New York City, honouring extraordinary women who are dedicated to transforming the lives of other women. Naturally, the gorgeous girls in attendance were wearing their DVF finest.

Keri Russell: I was already singing hallelujah upon seeing this Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2018 ensemble’s perfectly tailored pants that barely skimmed the floor, as they rightfully should. Plus, they made Keri’s legs go on for days, and I loved the look’s punchy play on animal print.

Leona Lewis: The songstress also impressed with her body-skimming Diane von Furstenberg white dress, which was a study in sleek simplicity—allowing free reign for her fabulously teased hair and candy-red lip to shine.

Storm Reid: This Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2018 paisley frock was such a darling one for the young ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ starlet. But, it was her bow-topped, long pigtail braids that took the charm factor to the next level and made the look uniquely Storm’s own.

Nieves Alvarez In Diane von Furstenberg – TUMI Store Opening

Nieves Alvarez feted the TUMI store opening in Madrid, Spain on Tuesday (March 20).

She can always be relied upon to bring flash and pizzazz to her every ensemble, and this Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2018 look had every bit of that bold spirit.

This ensemble was far and away from a wrap dress, and I liked the intrepid mix of stars and stripes here.

Aquazzura pointy heels tied the red elements together, with a TUMI bag (naturally), Bulgari watch, and Messika jewels rounding out her accessories.

You may remember that Janelle Monae wore this look earlier this year.

SXSW Conference and Festival Weekend Roundup

A number of other stars were in Austin, Texas this past weekend for the start of the 2018 SXSW Conference and Festival. Here’s a look at what they were wearing.

Carla Gugino: The actress was a beauty in blue at the ‘Elizabeth Harvest’ premiere on Saturday (Marh 10) with this vibrant, high-low variation on the iconic Diane von Furstenberg floral wrap dress. I probably would have opted for a different shoe to let her red lip and matching envelope clutch be the accessories of note, rather than bring in the additional metallic shine factor.

Jamie Chung: Making a case for colourful stripes, this was such a graphically intrepid Ronny Kobo dress—and I loved its slightly dizzying effect at the ‘1985’ premiere on Friday (March 9).

AJ Michalka: At the ‘Support the Girls’ premiere on Friday (March 9), AJ turned up the charm in a Markarian ‘Theres’ dress. The only thing about this look was that I felt the black peep-toe shoes dragged it down somewhat.

Janelle Monae In Diane von Furstenberg – 9th Annual Oscars Sistahs Soiree

Janelle Monae attended Alfre Woodard’s 9th Annual Oscar’s Sistahs Soiree on Wednesday (February 28) in Los Angeles, California.

Following her rare burst of colour at the ‘A Wrinkle In Time’ LA premiere, Janelle continued to incorporate bold hues into her latest red carpet look from Diane von Furstenberg’s Spring 2018 collection.

Her signature black and white is still the core of this look, but I’m excited that she’s opted for something a little less predictable.

When it comes to the accessories. I love the quirky exclamation point earrings.

The eye-mofit clutch feels terribly out of place with the star, stripes and colour-blocking. It’s the one thing that should’ve been solid in colour I feel.

Amal Clooney In Diane von Furstenberg – Watermark Conference For Women 2018

Amal Clooney participated in a discussion with National Public Radio host Kelly McEvers on Friday (February 23) in San Jose, California for the Watermark Conference for Women.

For the occasion, she opted for a demure but eye-catching dress plucked right from Diane von Furstenberg’s Fall 2018 collection.

The geometric patterned dress, part of the house’s first collection under its new creative director Nathan Jenden, was a bold new look for Amal.

I don’t often associate her style with clashing prints, although she’s never been afraid of colour, and this look feels both retro (in print) and modern (in style).

Gilan’s diamond earrings punctuated the look with subtle sparkle while Givenchy black pumps completed the look.
