2015 British Fashion Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2015 British Fashion Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup from the 2015 British Fashion Awards which took place on Monday (November 23) in London, England.

Olga Kurylenko: Giving Gaga a run for her money when it comes to being best dressed at this event, the beautiful actress wore a Dolce & Gabbana frock which showcased her gorgeous figure. Granted this silhouette is nothing new from the Italy design duo, but you can’t argue how effective it continues to be. The look was styled with Star Diamond earrings plus a gold Charlotte Olympia clutch.

Alexa Chung: The British star wore an Erdem Spring 2016 dress which instantly made me think of that scene from the ‘Sound of Music’ when Maria makes outfits for the Von Trapp family using the drapes.

Mollie King: Where do I start? The ill-fitting dress, the awful hair or the makeup/deodorant stains on her dress?

‘The Danish Girl’ LA Premiere

'The Danish Girl' LA Premiere

A trio of girls took to the red carpet for ‘The Danish Girl’ premiere at Westwood Village Theatre on Saturday (November 21) in Westwood, California.

Alicia Vikander: Naturally, the actress was dressed in a Louis Vuitton ensemble, this one hailing from the Spring 2016 collection. Despite the more serious, gray-toned hues, there was a sense of light boho romance in this embroidered peasant dress, which she wore with Ana Khouri jewels. It may not be the first type of dress you think of when it comes to a premiere, but it was lovely for its effortlessness.

Amber Heard: Exploring the sultry side of androgyny, Amber donned a floral-embossed Dolce & Gabbana black suit with Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps, balancing feminine and masculine intrigue.

Holland Roden: Also going the route of the trouser, Holland added the boldness of an eye-catching pattern in this graphically inspired Edeline Lee Fall 2014 ensemble. The minidress top worn over the pants added a girly, fun spirit to the mod mix, which she finished with a sleek ponytail.

Marie Claire Prix de la Moda 2015

Marie Claire Prix de la Moda 2015

After putting these pictures together, I realized that Paz Vega and Juana Acosta attended the Marie Claire Prix de la Moda on in Madrid, Spain and Mar Saura attended the Prix De La Mode Marie Claire in Mexico City last week.

Paz Vega: The actress was by far my favourite here wearing a Vionnet Fall 2015 trousers look possessing plenty of style and finesse. I wasn’t a huge fan of her hairstyle in the beginning, but she continues to make it work for her by wearing sharp and edgy looks like this.

Mar Saura: In Mexico City, Mar looked like she just stepped off a Milan runway wearing a head-to-toe look from Dolce & Gabbana. Some might think her Dolce & Gabbana ‘I Love You Mamma’ dress was over styled with the clutch and shoes, but I love the playful touch the bring to the look.

Juana Acosta: The beautiful actress wore Carolina Herrera column gown which made a dramatic impact thanks to the graphic feather print. The look was styled with a Yliana Yepez clutch.

Oh how I love it when the fellas bring some colour to the red carpet.

Michael B. Jordan: Never one shy away from a challenge when it comes to style and colour, the ‘Creed’ star kicked off his promo tour on Jimmy Fallon last night in impeccable style wearing a Vivienne Westwood MAN rust-hued suit. I love how the Westwood print shirt dials down the formality of the look, while raising Michael’s profile as one of the sharpest dressed male stars on the red carpet/planet. Tom Hiddleston finally has some competition. Some might find the Louboutins too matchy, but black or navy would’ve killed the look. This is head to toe perfection for me.

Zachary Quinto: The actor attended the 2015 CNN Heroes: All-Star tribute wearing a Louis Vuitton suit. I really like how the striped tie and glasses gives this look a geek chic vibe.

Josh Hutcherson: For Monday nights ‘Mockingjay Part 2’ LA premiere, the handsome leading man wore a iridescent burgundy Z Zegna sharply tailored suit. While I’m not sure about the waxy sheen of his tie, the tricolour ribbons attached to his Mockingjay pin was a lovely touch.

Elizabeth Banks In Dolce & Gabbana – ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2’ LA Premiere

Elizabeth Banks In Dolce & Gabbana - ‘The Hunger Games Mockingjay – Part 2’ LA Premiere

Elizabeth Banks attended the premiere of ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2’ on Monday (November 16) in Los Angeles, California.

I’ll admit I was slightly disappointed for about a nano-second when I saw Elizabeth in this Dolce & Gabbana gown, as I was hoping for a big blown out gown to close what has been an epic journey for the actress.

But in reality, who can be mad at a dazzling dress?

Not I, because I love how this classic silhouette is cast in colourful striped sequins plus sheer lace insets for an added dose of modern glamour.

She will always be my red carpet queen.
