Sandra Bullock In Carolina Herrera - 'Gravity' Tokyo Premiere

Following yesterday’s red-hot press conference, Sandra Bullock took to the red carpet again this evening for the ‘Gravity’ premiere in Tokyo, Japan.

This time she opted for a very elegant Carolina Herrera Resort 2014 sculptural strapless silk faille navy-blue dress featuring a flounce skirt with a contrast sheer floral lace underlay.

I really like the simplicity of the look, but the black satin Charlotte Olympia platform pumps feel so heavy with the delicate hemline. The look book heels would’ve been perfect.

Martin Katz jewels, matte nude lips and a wavy updo provided the finishing touches.

Are the shoes a deal-breaker?

Jessica Simpson In Carolina Herrera - 27th Annual Footwear News Achievement AwardsJessica Simpson joined Crystal Renn at the 27th Annual Footwear News Achievement Awards, hosted yesterday at the IAC Building in New York City.

The entertainer selected a black-and-red Carolina Herrera rose jacquard cocktail dress that may have been a smidge too small through the cleavage-confining bodice.

Thee frock itself was fine enough, but factor in the compromised silhouette, along with the black platform pumps, a long mane of icy-blonde locks and a significant smokey eye, the look lost some of its appeal to me.

Were you let down by the styling, as well?

Christina Ricci In Carolina Herrera - 9th Annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball

Christina Ricci attended the 9th Annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City yesterday evening, joining Katy Perry on the red carpet.

The petite actress wore a Carolina Herrera gown featuring an open neck, tri-colour bodice and jacquard animal-print skirt.

I’m very much on the fence with this one, and it’s the bodice which is throwing me off as I ask myself ‘would the gown have been better with just the animal print, or a single solid colour for the bodice?’

The colours are great for her complexion and, once again, I’m loving this dark lip and her copper eye shadow.

Despite my questions, I do find myself being totally captivated by this look – but that has always been the USP of Christina Ricci.

Allison Williams In Carolina Herrera - 2013 Library Lions Gala

Allison Williams attended the 2013 Library Lions Gala held at The New York Public Library in the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building in New York City yesterday evening.

Giving further reason to fall in love with her style, the ‘Girls’ actress wore a Carolina Herrera Spring 2014 look with Dana Rebecca Designs jewels.

I had picked this smoky-umber-and-shell-pink kinetic-square-print gown with a silk-organza overlay styled with a smoky-umber-and-black peplum mesh belt for Kate Beckinsale in my NYFW wish list, but as both actresses have the same sweet, girlie-girl style and glossy brunette locks I feel that my choice wasn’t too far off – so I’m telling myself.

Having debuted her new ‘Rachel’ haircut last week, she sported a retro wavy ‘do on this occasion.

J’adore from head to toe. Especially that orangey-chocolate lip colour.

Dita von Teese In Carolina Herrera - Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Inaugural Gala

Dita von Teese joined a host of stars on the red carpet for the Wallis Annenberg Center For Performing Arts Inaugural Gala held at the Wallis Annenberg Center in Beverly Hills, California yesterday evening.

The best thing about Dita’s current Carolina Herrera phase is that Carolina doesn’t make that many black gowns, so we are seeing Dita experiment more with colour.

On this occasion she selected an amethyst floral lace dress with beaded shoulder detail and amethyst pony beaded belt from Carolina Herrera’s Fall 2013 collection; styled with a matching clutch and of course her signature red lips.

Despite wish the neckline was more open, I love the gothic romantic vibe I get from Dita in this dress.

You may remember that Minka Kelly wore this same dress to the Met Gala.

Who Wore Carolina Herrera Better Michelle Obama or Crystal Reed

Michelle Obama wore a Carolina Herrera navy-and-silver wave-pattern dress featuring bow accents and a square neckline from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection for the dinner hosted by the German Chancellor Angela Merkel back in June.

She styled the look with kitten heels – naturally – and a pair of drop earrings which perfectly complemented the dress.

Crystal Reed – who has had several memorable Carolina Herrera moments – wore the same dress to the BAFTA LA TV Tea Party last month.

She kept her styling just as simple, opting for stud earrings.

You may remember that I thought this dress was a tad too twee for the First Lady. I much prefer this dress on the ‘Teen Wolf’ actress as it suits her sweet girlie-girl style.

Dianna Agron In Carolina Herrera - 'Malavita - The Family' Berlin Premiere

Dianna Agron was the picture of sophistication at the ‘Malavita – The Family’ Berlin premiere, which was held at Kino in der Kulturbrauerei in Germany on Tuesday.

The ‘Glee’ girl graced the red carpet with a black-and-white Carolina Herrera Resort 2014 gown that was printed with a bouquet of small blooms, which she wore with Rupert Sanderson ‘Trinity’ sandals.

Pouf sleeves were an elegant twist to the exaggerated shoulder, whilst a simple belt added waist-cinching visual interest to the dress.

She modernized the old-Hollywood glam appeal with a studded Jimmy Choo ‘Cloud’ clutch and statement rings, along with casual blonde waves and shimmering nude makeup.
