Zhang Ziyi In Carolina Herrera – 2014 Beijing International Film Festival Closing Ceremony

Zhang Ziyi In Carolina Herrera - 2014 Beijing International Film Festival Closing Ceremony

Zhang Ziyi attended the closing ceremony of the 2014 Beijing International Film Festival held at BTV Theater on Wednesday (April 23) in Beijing, China, where she picked up her 10th best actress award for ‘The Grandmaster’.

The actress wore a dramatic Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2014 jacquard trench gown with an elegant, full-skirted silhouette, patterned with a multicoloured rose print and tailored with an open neckline.

This head-turning look is a bold move for Ziyi, who started this festival in a soft hue. I love how daring and dramatic this look is without being over the top or forgoing its femininity.

A neat updo and complementary fuchsia lip rounded out her look.

Aura Garrido attended the 17th Malaga Film Festival 2014 closing ceremony held at the Cervantes Theatre on Saturday (March 29) in Malaga, Spain.

Her third look of these festivities came courtesy of Carolina Herrera.

Dressed in an ivory crepe gown featuring a tea-green-embellished bustier and a smoky-umber silk-faille-embellished neck detail, the actress wisely swept her hair up and opted for complementary earrings.

A black-and-white clutch completed her elegant red carpet look.

First Lady Michelle Obama Travels to China

First Lady Michelle Obama Travels to China

First Lady Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia are visiting China on a seven-day trip to expand Sino-American relations.

Thursday: Michelle arrived in Beijing, China wearing a Derek Lam Fall 2013 sleeveless suede patchwork mosaic dress featuring leather inserts at the front and a black wool-crepe jersey back panel, which she elegantly styled with over-the-knee boots.

Friday: For her meeting with the Chinese president, Michelle opted to wear red, a colour which symbolizes good fortune and joy to the locals, selecting a custom deco rose threadwork-embroidered 3/4-sleeve Naeem Khan dress styled with matching pumps. This is the 14th time Mrs O has selected a Naeem Khan look. I think it might be safe to say this is her favourite designer.

Dita von Teese In In Carolina Herrera – Art Production Fund’s White Glove Gone Wild Gala Honoring Carolina Herrera

Dita von Teese In In Carolina Herrera - Art Production Fund's White Glove Gone Wild Gala Honoring Carolina Herrera

I was not surprised to see Dita von Teese attending the Art Production Fund’s White Glove Gone Wild Gala honouring Carolina Herrera and Linda Yablonsky on Wednesday (March 12) in New York City, as she’s pretty much worn the designer exclusively since attending her Fall 2013 show.

While Dianna Agron wore a Spring 2014 gown and Emmy Rossum wore Pre-Fall 2014, Dita selected a piece right off the Fall 2014 runway, but unlike the aforementioned she didn’t opt for a print or a spring-like hue.

Working typically dark and dramatic eggplant and rust hues, her sleeveless two-tone double-faced charmeuse Carolina Herrera gown featured a knotted gathered construction at the bodice with a bow detail at the bust, a cowl open back and a short train.

Signature styling included retro waves, a red lip and black leather opera gloves.

Emmy Rossum joined Dianna Agron for the Art Production Fund’s White Glove Gone Wild Gala honouring Carolina Herrera and Linda Yablonsky on Wednesday (March 12) in New York City.

If you’ve been starving for glamour following the awards season lull, this should perk you right up.

After opting for a few sexy fitted frocks, Emmy was back to doing what she does best: swishing her way down the red carpet in a glamorous ball gown.

The strapless floral jacquard gown featuring a bustier-style boned bodice and floor-length column skirt with tulip-style overlay at the back is beautifully constructed.

You could only go wrong if you opted for the wrong hair, makeup or accessories. Emmy didn’t fall into the trap, working a flawless neutral look with a dark manicure and black satin clutch completing the look.

J’adore.
