Katie Holmes In Calvin Klein Collection – 2013 Met Gala

Katie Holmes looked very graceful when she stepped out onto the red carpet for Monday night’s 2013 Met Gala in New York City.

While there isn’t much punk rock going on with her custom Calvin Klein Collection creation styled with Lorraine Schwartz jewels and white sandals, the brunette beauty did opt for a slicked back bouffant and smoky eyes.

Her ivory halter gown with a flowing train is Katie at her best, but does the fact that it isn’t really on theme lose her style points?

Alexander Skarsgard In Calvin Klein – ‘What Maisie Knew’ New York Screening

Prepare to swoon as Alexander Skarsgard joined Julianne Moore on the red carpet at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema in New York City on Thursday evening for the ‘What Maisie Knew’ screening.

The actor wore a Calvin Klein black wool two-button notch lapel suit with a charcoal dress shirt and black shoes from the Spring 2013 collection, designed by Italo Zucchelli, the brands’ Men’s Creative Director.

Pushing his good looks to the side momentarily; the suit is a perfect fit – a surprising rarity.

If I was being picky I would say he could’ve undone one more button on his shirt à la Chris Hemsworth to set pulses really racing.

As the current face of the brand, he is serving them very well.

Rita Ora In Calvin Klein – Calvin Klein Watches & Jewelry Exclusive Preview & Party at Baselworld 2013

After Dubai, Rita Ora’s next stop was Basel, Switzerland for the Calvin Klein watches and jewelry event hosted during Baselworld 2013, the largest watch and jewelry fair.

The singer arrived wearing a black-and-white Calvin Klein look, sans wig, consisting of a black leather v-neck top, baggy black pants, a white jacket and Calvin Klein white sandals.

She later performed wearing another full Calvin Klein look, which included a blush long-sleeved crop top, a matching maxi skirt, platform sandals and, of course, a Calvin Klein watch and jewels for both looks.

While some of us will never get some of her style choices, anything is an improvement on her previous look.

Both looks are a huge improvement, but what I am most thankful for here is that she opted to ditch the wig.

Zoe Saldana In Calvin Klein – ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Berlin Photocall

Zoe Saldana finally joined her ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ co-stars by attending a photocall in Berlin, Germany on Sunday afternoon, which was held on the rooftop of the China Club.

The actress looked radiant wearing a Calvin Klein Fall 2013 look.

Her grey ensemble, which looked like a dress on the runway, consisted of an wool skirt and a crop top with buckle-accented criss-cross straps.

Zoe’s effortless look was styled with nude Jimmy Choo ‘Tahi’ sandals, gold rings, a chic updo, and red lips to match her manicure.

Only Zoe can take a ‘meh’ runway look and turn it into something fabulous; that’s why we love her.

Menswear Midweek Round Up

Chris Hemsworth: For the 50th Anniversary Wool Awards in Sydney on Tuesday, the Australian actor sported an Ermenegildo Zegna light-grey three-piece suit with notch lapels. He paired the well-cut suit with a white shirt, a matching patterned tie, and black leather boots. I prefer this finished look to his usual unbuttoned-shirt look.

Matthew McConaughey: After stepping out in a wildly perfect Vivienne Westwood MAN suit for the ‘Mud’ screening, Matthew returned to his usual brand in a Dolce & Gabbana classic black suit from the sartorial collection for an appearance on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’. His conservative notch-lapel suit was finished off with a white shirt and black lace-up shoes. I liked the multicoloured suit more, but this was the perfect casual look for a late show.

Brad Goreski: Opting for a loud red carpet look, Bravo’s Brad Goreski wore a Ferragamo yellow double-breasted suit from the Spring 2013 collection for the 24th GLAAD Media Awards in LA on Saturday. It’s incredibly bright and features just one set of buttons, making it even more difficult to pull off. Brad is zany enough for it, but I don’t think it fit as well as it could have. It did go well with the light-blue tab-collar shirt and the green-and-yellow tie, though.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Olga Kurylenko In Burberry, Solange Knowles In Michael Kors, Alexander Skarsgard & Robert Downey Jr In Calvin Klein

Olga Kurylenko is having an amazing run during her promo tour for ‘Oblivion’, and that was reflected by her second BDOTW win in a row, this time for her Burberry Pre-Fall 2013 satin gown with embroidered details.

I would’ve given my vote to Karolina Kurkova, but finding out that what I thought was a Versace gown was actually a blatant copy dulled my love for the look.
So my vote went to Solange Knowles in Michael Kors.

Her cloudy sky-blue pants, white shirt and black blazer Spring 2013 combo was effortlessly chic whilst still maintaining a cool hip factor with a hot-pink lip colour to die for.

As for the men, you selected Alexander Skarsgard in Calvin Klein, while I also opted for a Calvin Klein clad actor, but my choice was Robert Downey Jr.

I just love the colours and his overall styling.
