Models @ The 2015 Met Gala

"China: Through The Looking Glass" Costume Institute Benefit Gala - Arrivals

The models also had their moment at the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala, hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4), some strutting to the beat of the theme better than others.

Karen Elson: One of the most extravagantly attired models, Karen truly embraced the ‘costume’ in the Costume Institute Benefit Gala in her Dolce & Gabbana ballgown spectacle featuring an ornately embellished and gilded bodice with matching cuffs, and an explosion of red tulle. Her elaborate gold headpiece also gave Sarah Jessica Parker’s own topper a bit of crown competition. This was the Chinese princess moment of the night.

2015 Met Gala Roundup

"China: Through The Looking Glass" Costume Institute Benefit Gala - Arrivals

A flurry of even more bold names descended on red carpet of the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala, hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4), where their colourful variety of looks only contributed to this year’s fashion extravaganza.

Anna Wintour
: As the gala co-host, the ‘Vogue’ editor-in-chief dressed thematically (for her, anyway) in a Chanel Spring 2015 Couture gown featuring dimensional, all-over poppy embroidery, which had been lengthened from the runway’s original shorter version. She should have maintained her signature cap sleeve, as the flower petal statement shoulders translated as a bit cumbersome, despite their inherent artistry.

Bee Shaffer: Like her mother, Bee also found inspiration in flowers, opting for a mahogany blossom gown by Alexander McQueen. I much preferred this look to Anna’s, especially with the enchantment of the beautifully embroidered Chinese cranes that alighted down the back of the dress.

Renee Zellweger In Burberry Prorsum – ‘One Starry Night..From Broadway To Hollywood’ Event

Renee Zellweger In Burberry Prorsum - 'One Starry Night From Broadway To Hollywood' Event

Renee Zellweger took to the red carpet for ‘One Starry Night..From Broadway To Hollywood’ In Support Of The Golden West Chapter of The ALS Association, at Pasadena Playhouse on Monday (April 20) in Pasadena, California.

The actress wore a romantic Burberry Prorsum Resort 2015 lace trench coat, rendered in an ombre style two-tone effect, which is sublimely chic for its contrast of such a delicate fabric on such a sharp silhouette.

This might just be my favourite reworking of the iconic trench to date, which Renee styles so effortlessly with nude pumps and a simple updo.

You can buy Renee’s Burberry Prorsum Dégradé Lace Trench Coat from

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Mens 17 april

Here is a quick menswear roundup from yesterday events.

Aaron Paul: The ‘Breaking Bad’ actor attended the Burberry ‘London in Los Angeles’ event, opting for a Burberry denim suit with a simple black tee. Denim suits can be quite tricky, but the laidback look works for him.

Tom Felton: The same, sadly, can’t be said for Tom Felton. The double denim combo plus the trousers, which were way too long, left this look feeling quite comical.

Tom Hardy: Attending the ‘Child 44’ premiere alongside his co-star Noomi Repace, the British actor suited up in Prada, working a tonal midnight-blue look. The look didn’t quite have the polish or finesse I would’ve expected from Tom or Prada.

Burberry ‘London In Los Angeles’ Event

Burberry 'London In Los Angeles' Event

Burberry celebrated its ‘London In Los Angeles’ event, which took place at the iconic Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, California. As with any Burberry event, there were of course many celebrities in attendance.

Jaime King: I am not sure what kind of statement the actress was trying to make here, but words fail me.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: Oozing sex appeal without trying, the British actress, who is very much part of the Burberry family, wore a contrast print mini from the Fall 2015 collection. I’m sure even the ‘Legs or Boobs’ police will let off the model for looking so drop dead gorgeous.

Rose Byrne: The sheer trend was a hot one on this red carpet. Unlike Jaime, I don’t feel repelled by this look as Rose pulls off this look with style and effortless grace. The gold accessories really enhanced the luxe feel of this look.
