Burberry @ 2017 AMD British Academy Britannia Awards

Claire Foy was wearing Erdem at the 2017 AMD British Academy Britannia Awards on Friday (October 27) in Beverly Hills, California, but a trio of other starlets were paying homage to the British house of Burberry with their looks—although the three ensembles couldn’t have been more different if they tried.

Kate Mara: Kate took a seductive turn in this Burberry black sequin-embroidered Chantilly lace gown. Some may take issue with the nude lining, but I like how the actress delved into a slightly sultrier sense of glamour.

Olivia Cooke: What I most wish about this look consisting of a Burberry plaid riding shirt and tartan trousers was that it was more precisely tailored, as it would have translated in a far more polished manner, if so.

Sylvia Hoeks:
For the most part, Sylvia let the statement piece that was her Burberry black-and-white, beaded spots-and-stripes sequin jacket be front and centre. I do like the matching pumps, but I question the larger clutch—at least it was black.

Jenna Coleman In Burberry September Collection – BAFTA Breakthrough Brits 2017

Jenna Coleman attended the BAFTA Breakthrough Brits reception held at Burberry HQ on Wednesday (October 25) in London.

Wearing head-to-toe Burberry, I love the juxtaposition of the feminine blouse, mixed with the plastic plaid skirt and hiking boots.

Perhaps on paper this shouldn’t work, but I’m very much drawn to its perfect mix of femininity with school girl charm.

The look was also styled with the Burberry DK88 bag.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Three men, and three totally different looks that have taken to the scene over the past few days.

Tommy Dorfman: At the 2017 GLSEN Awards on Friday (October 20) in Beverly Hills, California, Tommy donned a Calvin Klein look that was notable for its dynamic fusion of retro sportiness and moto edge. He actually made it work, too.

Sterling K Brown:
Along with the fashionable femmes in attendance, the actor also was in the mix at the Valentino x InStyle Cocktail Party in LA on Sunday (October 22). Naturally, he was wearing Valentino, too, offering up a casually suave rendition on classic tailoring.

Miles Teller: Suited up to a tee, Miles was sartorially sharp as per usual in this Burberry look at the ‘Thank You For Your Service’ premiere on Monday (October 23) in LA. I like this mix of intense navy and burnt orange on him.

Ruby Rose In Burberry September Collection – Bvlgari Flagship Store Reopening

Ruby Rose joined Ciara at the Bvlgari Flagship Store reopening on Friday (October 20) in New York City.

I’m always fascinated to see what fashion persona Ruby will bring to the red carpet, and here she presented a borrowed-from-the-boys Burberry September Collection 2017 look.

As we’d expect, the spiffy separates showcased the house’s iconic plaid and tailoring.

Even in a menswear-inspired ensemble, topped off with combat boots, Ruby has found an alluring strength of form, translating the look with her own signature edge.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

The men have recently been making just as strong of a statement on the red carpet with many of them breaking away from black suits.

Dev Patel: Choosing a more relaxed look for the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic event on Saturday (October 14), the British actor wore a Burberry a pale T-shirt and skinny khaki pants with a navy jacket. The distressed brown boots created a quiet but interesting mix of colours.

Armie Hammer: Looking debonair, the ‘Call Me by Your Name’ actor wore a slim Bottega Veneta suit at the Hammer Museum Gala In The Garden event on Saturday (October 14). The black polo neck and lace-up shoes helped bring out the miniature check in the suit.

James Marsden: The actor cut a stylish figure at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic on Saturday (October 14). The dark green shirt and brown tie wouldn’t have been my first choice for this Zegna suit, but he convinced me how well they could work thanks to the matching brown shoes and simple accessorising.

Raffey Cassidy In Burberry – ‘Killing Of A Sacred Deer’ London Film Festival Premiere

Joining Nicole Kidman and Emma Stone at the London Film Festival premiere of ‘Killing Of A Sacred Deer,’ Raffey Cassidy was also on the red carpet on Thursday evening (October 12).

While Nicole went for the height of glamour, the young starlet took a slightly more casual approach like Emma.

Yet, I liked the undeniable chicness of this Burberry frock, which was visually engaging with its graphic patterning.

This might be one of the best versions of the sock-bootie trend I’ve seen, as this pair Burberry District shoes were an effortless finish to the mod look.
