Cardi B Wore Burberry To The 2025 Met Gala

Cardi B’s Met Gala red carpet record is anything but quiet, so when she showed up to the Superfine: Tailoring Black Style event, expectations were high for another OTT spectacle. Instead, she flipped the script and delivered something far more theme-driven, while still serving drama the Cardi way.

Wearing custom Burberry in a sumptuous shade of green velvet, Cardi channelled Edwardian elegance with a twist. The tailoring was razor sharp, the silhouette structured with authority, and yet it oozes sensuality. Subverting the strict dress codes of the early 1900s, this look positioned Cardi as a fashion force in full control—no frills – aside from the ruffles on the blouse – necessary.

Yes, she’s dialled down the volume compared to last year’s black Windowsen fantasy, but this look made just as much of an impact in its own way. And it’s that unpredictability I adore about her Met Gala appearances. She interprets it, and plays with it.

The angular, teased bob and matching green eyeshadow were perfect finishing touches, while Messika jewels added sparkle without overwhelming the precision of the look. Cardi didn’t scream for attention this year—she commanded it. And it worked.
