Nicholas Hoult & Tom Hardy In Alexander McQueen – ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ LA Premiere

Nicholas Hoult & Tom Hardy In Alexander McQueen - ‘Mad Max Fury Road’ LA Premiere

Nicholas Hoult and Tom Hardy joined a host of lovely ladies including Charlize Theron and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for the premiere of ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ at TCL Chinese Theatre on Thursday (May 7) in Hollywood, California.

Both British actors, as if by coincidence, wore Alexander McQueen.

Nicholas Hoult: Burgundy is fast becoming the new alternative to black and navy. I like how this wholesome debonair look was styled with a pattern tie, but its his blue eyes which are the most striking feature here.

Tom Hardy: Even with the buzz cut and overgrown facial hair, Tom’s Alexander McQueen look is still focused on sharp precision and impeccable tailoring.

Riley Keough In Alexander McQueen – ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ LA Premiere

Riley Keough In Alexander McQueen - ‘Mad Max Fury Road’ LA Premiere

Riley Keough attended the premiere of ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ at TCL Chinese Theatre on Thursday (May 7) in Hollywood, California.

The actress wore a form-fitting burgundy leather Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2015 dress; cut with modern peplum sleeves to which she added a matching corset-style belt.

While the look feels too heavy for a summer blockbuster premiere, Riley does make it work as it suits her rock chick persona.

Only the belt feels totally unnecessary.

2015 Met Gala Menswear Roundup

Met Men Matt

With the tidal wave of gowns and tonnes of sparkling embellishment at the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala, hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4), the guys’ looks were a handsome, albeit less extravagant, accessory to the girls. Rather than attempting to accomplish the Chinese theme, some of the men reverted to safer, traditional tux territory while others bravely went in the direction of the East.

Robert Pattinson: This is the Robert Pattinson I like to see—polished and handsome without losing his edgy, bad-boy charm. His elegant Dior Homme three-piece tuxedo was one of my favourite men’s looks of the night.

James Marsden: The actor infused another layer into his Ermenegildo Zegna ensemble, elevating the look with a cream jacket paired with a white tuxedo shirt and black trousers.

Matt Bomer: Showing off the power of the classics, he was dapper in a dark Giorgio Armani suit and bow tie popped with the hint of colour in his pocket square.

2015 Met Gala Roundup

"China: Through The Looking Glass" Costume Institute Benefit Gala - Arrivals

A flurry of even more bold names descended on red carpet of the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala, hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4), where their colourful variety of looks only contributed to this year’s fashion extravaganza.

Anna Wintour
: As the gala co-host, the ‘Vogue’ editor-in-chief dressed thematically (for her, anyway) in a Chanel Spring 2015 Couture gown featuring dimensional, all-over poppy embroidery, which had been lengthened from the runway’s original shorter version. She should have maintained her signature cap sleeve, as the flower petal statement shoulders translated as a bit cumbersome, despite their inherent artistry.

Bee Shaffer: Like her mother, Bee also found inspiration in flowers, opting for a mahogany blossom gown by Alexander McQueen. I much preferred this look to Anna’s, especially with the enchantment of the beautifully embroidered Chinese cranes that alighted down the back of the dress.

Rosamund Pike In Alexander McQueen – ‘What We Did On Our Holiday’ Madrid Photocall & ‘El Hormiguero’ Show

Rosamund Pike In Alexander McQueen - 'What We Did On Our Holiday' Madrid Photocall & 'El Hormiguero' Show

Rosamund Pike attended the ‘What We Did On Our Holiday’ photocall and made an appearance on ‘El Hormiguero’ show, both on Thursday (April 30) in Madrid, Spain, which necessitated two separate ensembles.

Madrid Photocall: At the Intercontinental Hotel, the actress posed in an Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2015 blue embroidered dress with a charming fit-and-flare silhouette. The ankle-wrap platform sandals really elevated the look for a chicly fun finish.

‘El Hormiguero’ Show
: Donning another McQueen frock, this one from the Spring 2015 collection, Rosamund wore the punchy, floral-printed piece with black sandals.

I gravitate towards the first look for the shoes and the second for its artsy, graphic appeal. Which little dress was your favourite?

Celebrities Love…the Alexander McQueen Legend Bag

Celebrities Love Alexander McQueen Legend Bag

Celebrities everywhere are matching their star power with the equally worthy Alexander McQueen ‘Legend’ bag from the Resort 2015 collection.

Perfectly voluptuous yet well-proportioned, the purse’s curved top flares to a streamlined body with tailored corners, all accessorized with gold-finish hardware.

Lily James, Sienna Miller, and Emma Watson all keep a ‘Legend’ by their side, ultimately showcasing the versatility of the chic bag in street-style settings.

It pairs equally as well with sophisticatedly feminine entrances, quirky-cool casual days, and even sporty-grunge looks, elevating each to new proportions.

Talk about a true legend.

Salma Hayek In Elie Saab Couture & Alexander McQueen – ‘The Prophet’ Beirut Premiere & Photocall

Salma Hayek In Elie Saab Couture - 'The Prophet' Beirut Premiere

Salma Hayek visited Beirut, Lebanon, her ancestral homeland (her paternal grandfather was Lebanese), for the premiere of the animated feature film she co-produced, ‘The Prophet’ on Monday (April 27).

As we all know, Salma is a devotee to the brands within the Kering group, but on this occasion when in Beirut; wear Elie Saab.

I had goosebumps on my goosebumps upon seeing the gorgeous actress dressed in this breathtaking Spring 2015 Couture powder blue embroidered gown.

Between the fit, the colour, the styling and of course those delicate embellishments, this look oozes glamour.

Salma’s best red carpet moments usually only come when she wears Gucci Premiere, but she can now add Elie Saab to that list.

This was a beautiful fairytale moment fitting for the occasion. I hope this is the first one of many Elie Saab gowns we will see on Salma.

Dianna Agron In Alexander McQueen – 2015 Olivier Awards

Dianna Agron In Alexander McQueen – 2015 Olivier Awards 2 copy

Dianna Agron was one of the few who didn’t wear black to The Olivier Awards at The Royal Opera House on Sunday (April 12) in London, England.

The actress wore a Alexander McQueen white gown from the Fall 2011 collection, which was a charming sight to behold, exuding a comely aura with definitive precision and given romantic twist via the pearl accents at the waist and neckline.

Fittingly feminine, I love how the dark manicure and selection of silver rings gives this vintage look a contemporary flourish.
