Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Taylor Swift attended the launch party for the ‘Red’ deluxe edition of her CD with Target at the Skylight West in New York City yesterday evening.

The young singer wore a pretty black vintage dress for the occasion.

This sophisticated dress with a flared skirt is all part of the new (sparkle-free) style direction the singer has been taking.

She did however stick with her signature red pout, opting to style her wavy tresses into a chic chignon.

Diamond-encrusted earrings and Christian Louboutin heels completed her look.

Taylor Swift attended the BBC Radio 1 ‘Teen Awards’ held at Wembley Arena in London on Sunday afternoon.

The country singer wore an Alice + Olivia Spring 2013 dress, our first look at this collection on the red carpet.

Her sweet cream fit-and-flare dress is the perfect look to appeal to her teen fan base, plus I love the cut-out details at the back.

Taylor has become mildly obsessed with Charlotte Olympia’s ‘Kitty’ footwear range. She has them in white flats, navy flats and this white pair has a high heel.

Tying her signature wavy tresses into a chic bun, she kept her accessories to a minimum, selecting diamond encrusted earrings.

Kolh-rimmed eyes and a refreshing light red lip colour, to break up all the nude lips we saw on the red carpet this weekend, completed her look.

After enjoying the afternoon in Paris yesterday seated front row at the Elie Saab Spring 2013 presentation, Taylor Swift was spotted in London this morning.

The country singer was spotted leaving The Hospital Club, as she preps for this weekends BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards.

Wrapped up against the cold, the singer wore a chic autumn look which included a mustard cardigan, burgundy top with a blue collar and AG Adriano Goldschmied polka-dot jeans.

I love her cute accessories which include navy Charlotte Olympia ‘Kitty’ flats, Raybans, a string of pearls and a Marc Cross ‘Scottie’ satchel which has a back-to-school feel to it.

Taylor Swift got an up-close look at the Elie Saab Spring 2013 collection from her front-row seat during Paris Fashion Week yesterday afternoon in France.

She wore a pretty baby-blue Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2012 dress with short sleeves and a pleated skirt.

A matching light blue Elie Saab clutch accessorised her look with tan open-toe sandals.

After favouring sleek, straight locks for a while, she opted for a wavy look on this occasion.

While the dress is mature and sophisticated, Taylor still manages to look her age.

I just love that red lip.

Country singer Taylor Swift sparkles on the cover of the November 2012 issue for Glamour US wearing a Burberry London tank, Dior skirt and belt and a Tiffany & Co. diamond bracelet.

The rest of her editorial, which was shot by Ellen von Unwerth, sees her wearing Jill Stuart, Marc Jacobs and Erin by Erin Fetherston.

With her new album ‘Red’ in stores October 22nd, a huge tour expected in 2013, plus a lot of tabloid attention surrounding her recent romance with Conor Kennedy, Taylor is firmly in the spotlight.

In the magazine, which hits newsstands nationwide on October 9th, she opens up about her career, her friends, and her own latest “love story”.

Here are some extracts from her Glamour US interview.

On the importance of having girlfriends: “They are so important in my life right now. I’m the kind of girl who needs to tell her friends everything. I’ve developed this really close-knit group of girls. Two of my close friends are bandmates.”

On her friendship with Emma Stone and Selena Gomez: “I met Emma when I was 17, and I met Selena when I was 18. So they’ve experienced all of this with me, and they’ve also experienced their own amazing success, and somehow through all of it, we’ve stayed close.”

On being misunderstood: “I think some people think it’s just apple pie and sunshine and sprinkles and ponies. Which is just funny. But I never feel the need to go out and make some grand statement that I’m dark and twisty and complicated, because I’m not that either. It’s just not as simple as ponies and rainbows, though I do love ponies and rainbows.”

On if she is wary of people using her for her fame and money: I think you can tell who’s a good person to be around, who makes you laugh, who’s fun, whom you can trust. And, yes, you’re going to get burned a few times, but I’d really rather get burned a few times than sit alone in that house with the curtains drawn. So God forbid this person you’re hanging out with gets a bit of validation out of the fact you’re famous. Is that the worst-case scenario? You know, it doesn’t seem that bad.
