Kathy Bates and Shailene Woodley joined the celebration which saw British actress Kate Winslet honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame on Monday (March 17) in Hollywood, California.
Kate Winslet: The British actress gave us no surprises, wearing a black dress which she styled with Roger Vivier ‘Sandale Plateau’ black-and-gold ankle-strap sandals and Ana Khouri jewels, including white-diamond ‘Wing’ earrings and a white-diamond ‘Stem’ four-finger ring.
Shailene Woodley: On the other hand, Shailene did surprise me. Her approach to red carpet dressing doesn’t always excite, but on this occasion I love her shimmering Preen Pre-Fall 2014 floral jacquard dual-colour blue-and-silver frock accented with a chartreuse thin belt and styled with Narciso Rodriguez sandals. I have to say this is better than some of the looks she has worn during her ‘Divergent’ tour. Do you agree?
Shailene Woodley made a guest appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on Wednesday (March 12) to promote her new movie ‘Divergent’.
The young actress wore a Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2013 dress with a mod-chic silhouette that lends a flattering, feminine appeal to this tough-luxe leather dress.
Her look was styled with Kurt Geiger London ‘Bond’ pumps and gold jewels including a cuff, dangling earrings and an ankle bracelet, with a slicked-back hairstyle and kohl-rimmed eyes rounding out her look.
We can expect to see plenty more of Shailene because after ‘Divergent’ hits theatres on March 21 she will then start promotion of the emotionally compelling ‘Fault in our Stars’ film adaptation, which hits theatres on June 6.
Shailene Woodley’s next stop on her promo tour for her latest movie ‘Divergent’ was Toronto, Canada, where she attended the premiere held at The Scotiabank Theatre with co-star Theo James.
The actress, who has been working fairly casual looks recently, continued that speed wearing a N°21 Pre-Fall 2014 look featuring a mélange knit sweater over a button-up collared pinstripe shirt with lace inserts, paired with paillette-embellished slim cropped pants.
She styled the look with a few rings, slicked-back hair, a glossy lip and Kurt Geiger London ‘Ellen’ pumps.
While some find her style boring, I have to say I really like this look.
She is very much being herself; I love the embellished pants, plus the overall youthful, clean, casual feel and simplicity of the look.
I would wear this in a heartbeat, especially with those lime-green look book pumps, but perhaps not to a premiere.

Rocking two contrasting, light and dark looks, Shailene Woodley recently hit the red carpet in support of the ‘Divergent’ film screenings in the cities of Atlanta, Georgia and Chicago, Illinois.
‘Divergent’ Atlanta Screening: On Monday (March 3), the actress wore an Alexander McQueen Spring 2014 white embossed, exaggerated sleeve dress and tri-buckle sandals. With the simple silhouette of the frock and neutral makeup, those majorly designed shoes were the main focal point here.
‘Divergent’ Chicago Screening: Fast forward one day, and Shailene selected a Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2014 black-and-silver print dress, which she paired with Kurt Geiger London ‘Ellen’ pumps.

Nominated for Best Female Lead in ‘The Spectacular Now,’ Shailene Woodley was also among the ‘it’ list at the 2014 Film Independent Spirit Awards, hosted at Santa Monica Beach in California on Saturday (March 1).
After her peachy-keen dress at the Publicists Awards Luncheon, the starlet showed off a textured teal look from Lyn Devon’s Spring 2014 collection.
Taking on a slight boho vibe, especially when worn with Casadei flat sandals, the button-accented cropped top and high-waist skirt lost some of its more impeccably chic lookbook appeal.
One too many inches of midriff were on display here, and the skirt—now floor-scraping—seemed poorly fitting. If I were to really nitpick, the pendant necklace was also a bothersome distraction.
A few tweaks here and there, and this could have been a standout, cool-girl statement.
