Rose Byrne In Giambattista Valli - 2014 New York Women In Film And Television 'Designing Women' Awards Gala

Rose Byrne attended the 2014 New York Women In Film And Television ‘Designing Women’ Awards Gala held at McGraw Hill Building on Wednesday (June 18) in New York City.

The actress wore a classic LBD from Giambattista Valli’s Pre-Fall 2014 collection, which was given a directional update via the sculptural, puffed sleeves with strategic pleats.

Metallic accessories including a thin bronze belt, matching Casadei ‘Barberella’ pumps with the signature blade heel and studded Marni clutch amped up her look, with her hair and make-up simple and neutral respectively.

Rose Byrne 2Celebrity makeup artist Georgie Eisdell worked on Rose Byrne’s makeup for the 2014 Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards.

Inspired by her silver lamé Max Mara strapless jumpsuit, Georgie said, “Rose had a modern ’70′s vibe going on, so I wanted to keep her makeup really clean, cool and chic.”

Here’s how to get her look.

The focus was all on her eyes. Georgie started by using Laura Mercier Matte Eye Shadow in Buttercream all over her eyelids for a flawless base.

Then she mixed Laura Mercier Matte Eye Shadow in Twilight Grey with NARS Eye Shadow in Namibia to get the perfect medium shade of grey.

This colour was applied over her lid, blending into the crease slightly to create a smoky effect. The colour was also applied under her eyes to create a deeper smoky effect, graduating from stronger to lighter toward the inner corner under the eye.

Three layers of CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Mascara in Black concluded things in the eye area.

Rose’s skin was evened out using L’Oreal True Match Foundation and powdered all over with Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder.

A very small amount of Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Color in Honey Mocha was applied to the apple of the cheek and blended back slightly towards the ear.

To define her brows, Laura Mercier Brow duo in Ash was used.

And on her lips, Hourglass Femme Nude Lip Color in Nude #4 gave her a natural pout.

Finally, Tom Ford’s Bronzing Powder in Terra was very lightly applied to the forehead, cheekbones, and chin to add a little warmth.

Max Mara 1

A crush of luminous lovelies were on the scene at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday (June 10) for MaxMara And W Magazine’s cocktail party in honour of the Women in Film Max Mara Face Of The Future, Rose Byrne. Looks from MaxMara and its youthful Sportmax label were plentiful—naturally—with guests each bringing their own unique flair to the evening’s fashion.

Rose Byrne: As the party’s ‘it’ girl, Rose appropriately led the event with one of the more eye-catching, glittery ensembles, shining brightly in a Max Mara midnight-navy sequinned V-neck dress. She paired down the glitz factor with dual-tone, Jimmy Choo Kahlua pumps, neutral makeup and minimal jewels.

Ahna O’Reilly: Pretty in girly pink, Ahna stepped out in a Sportmax crepe dress with zipper detail, Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals and a contrasting blue Edie Parker ‘Edie’ clutch.

Kiernan Shipka: The young trendsetting starlet gave us a feminine look with edge via her demure MaxMara beaded white silk top and tougher Max Mara black leather skirt with feminine pleating. She added a pop of bold colour via a yellow Christian Louboutin studded bag along with strappy sandals.

Max Mara Fall 2014 Show: For the runway show earlier today during Milan Fashion Week, her style credentials were on full display as she worked a Max Mara black silk tuxedo jacket, cream silk trousers and a sexy gold lamé tank top. Oozing elegance, she rounded out her look with a Max Mara shoulder bag and sleek tresses.

The second look floors me. I would love to put this up for BDOTW.
