Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Olivia Palermo was your fashionista of the year.

She wasn’t part of the original choices, but you used the other option to cast your vote for the stylish New Yorker.

Even though some of you either don’t know who she is or don’t get the appeal, Olivia travels the world over in the name of fashion, and this year she became a style blogger.

She has collected many standout accessories along the way which instantly make a £40 Topshop dress look incredibly stylish, but her best accessory is always boyfriend Johannes Huebl.

Olivia has so much style that Stuart Weitzman commissioned her to create a shoe for their ‘Hollywood Cares’ collection.

She caused a stampede at Zara, as fashion lovers rushed to buy her floral print dress and her yellow Topshop dress sold-out online the very day she wore it.

Her favourite brands this year were Topshop, Charlotte Olympia and Giambattista Valli.

Olivia Palermo joined Claire Danes and Sarah Jessica Parker at the IAC Headquarters for the Valentino Garavani Virtual Museum Launch Party in New York City last night.

Liv opted to wear a Marchesa mini dress.

Her jet black sequin embroidered cowl back dress was accessorised with notable Valentino nude accessories which included studded pointy pumps and a snake-skin clutch.

Olivia has two signature hairstyles; a straight bob or a low bun, so it was nice to see her sporting curly locks on this occasion.

It’s hard not to take notice of Olivia Palermo when she steps onto the red carpet as she excites with her choice of accessories.

The New Yorker donned a black Giorgio Armani dress whilst attending the New York screening for ‘W.E.’ on Sunday night.

On this occasion she teamed her embroidered dress with a Haute Hippie fur shrug which she wore over a Topshop fringed shawl to heighten the glamorous feel of this look.

Liv is never one to go matchy matchy on the red carpet, so she showcased her enviable knack of working contrasting accessories by wearing Manolo Blahnik sapphire-blue pumps and a merlot Mulberry Bayswater suede clutch.

Pearl earrings and a slick back hairstyle completed her look.

Olivia Palermo attended the 2011 British Fashion Awards which were held at the Savoy Hotel in London last night.

The star wore a Matthew Williamson Fall 2011 dress.

Her wool-crepe dress with beaded, sequin and feather appliqués was teamed with a vintage clutch and Topshop Ariel flame mesh ankle boots.

With so much detail on the dress, most would’ve have opted for a simple shoe, but Olivia isn’t called the Queen of Accessorizing for nothing.

A simple centre-parted low bun, dazzling Asprey earrings and smoky dark purple eye shadow completed her look.

Olivia Palermo and her boyfriend, model Johannes Huebl, showed off just how gorgeous they are at the Armani Hotel Milano opening in Italy last night.

He was devilishly handsome in navy Armani, whilst Olivia wore a black Emporio Armani Fall 2011 romper.

The half embellished, half crepe romper had an asymmetrical neckline and a gathered detail draping from the waist.

I’m surprised that Olivia didn’t add any colourful accessories, but she did add what’s fast becoming a signature: a feathered bag.

Silver embellished double-strap Zara sandals and a sweeping hairstyle completed her look.

Olivia Palermo strolled down the red carpet hand-in-hand with her longtime boyfriend Johannes Huebl when she attended the Princess Grace Awards Foundation Gala earlier this week in New York City.

To celebrate the event the socialite seemed to channel her inner Grace Kelly wearing a peach-colored Rochas dress, which she teamed with a matching Giorgio Armani fur stole.

While I usually like anything Olivia wears, to me, this felt a bit too ‘little girl playing dress up in mom’s closet’. The outfit was very matchy-matchy and the dress fits poorly around the bust.

She kept up the monochromatic look my pairing the ensemble with Charlotte Olympia pumps. Olivia smartly kept her jewelry simple—yellow diamond drop earrings and gold bracelets both by Carrera y Carrera.

Olivia opted for a navy clutch – which kills the look – a simple updo and natural makeup provided the finishing touches.

Do you think this ensemble is too costumey or just right?
