The CFDA, WWD & Variety Celebrate Runway To Red Carpet Initiative

To celebrate the inaugural launch of the Runway to Red Carpet initiative, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), Variety and Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) hosted a star-studded luncheon on Tuesday (February 20) at the Chateau Marmont, which was sponsored by Karma Automotive.

A range of starlets were in attendance. However, if you had just looked at their ensembles, you’d never know they were at the same event—so diverse were their modes of dress.

Olivia Munn: I like the sunny outlook of this Veronica Beard Spring 2018 warm-weather-ready suit set, with the drawstring detailing adding an element of feminine allure. Obviously, the shorts didn’t stand up so well to the creases from sitting.

Lea Michele: Opting for a more romantically feminine offering, Lea wore a Zuhair Murad floral gown with a ruffled peplum. I can imagine this dress looked very pretty in the garden outside.

January Jones: I appreciate the directional, urban-forward mood the actress was setting with this Off-White Resort 2018 look—complete with that slick-back ponytail. However, I know the deconstructed, pinstripe skirt will have many saying it looks as if she wrapped a bolt of men’s shirting material around her waist.

2018 NFL Honors

In advance of Super Bowl LII, the 2018 NFL Honors were held on Saturday (February 3) in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a trio of stars each donning their own distinct variations on the colour black.

Ciara: She may have had thigh-high boots on underneath, but this sheer lace Uel Camilo gown was still plenty transparent. I’m sure I won’t be alone in putting this in the sheer-fatigue category, to which the exaggerated keyhole did nothing to help the cause. Nor did her double side buns, which seemed a strangely girlish way to round out an overtly sexy look. Hueb diamond earrings and a Djula diamond ring added some sparkle.

Emma Roberts: While I can appreciate the more classic sophistication of this Armani LBD, it felt almost like an afterthought—and the creases didn’t help. Her hybrid stiletto booties were an intriguing element, though, with Jennifer Meyer jewels, Chloe Gosselin shoes and a Lee Savage clutch to accessorise the dress.

Lea Michele: Also braving the cold with bare legs, Lea donned an Ashi Studio Fall 2017 design that married tuxedo dressing with a boudoir robe-inspired appeal. It may be a more expected Lea look, but she wore its relaxed glamour well with EFFY Jewelry, Melinda Maria Jewelry, and a Tadashi Shoji clutch.

Lea Michele In Elie Saab – Delta Air Lines Celebrates Grammys Weekend

Lea Michele joined Delta Air Lines to celebrate GRAMMY weekend at The Bowery Hotel on Thursday (January 25) in New York City.

Last time out Lea was full of the joys of spring. On this occasion the mood turned sultry and fall-like in Elie Saab’s Pre-Fall 2017 outfit.

I love how she made this look her own, as the matching blazer we see in this look book would’ve taken Lea’s look into pyjamas (some would might say sloppy) territory.

Her sharp blazer with the signature hearts from the Pre-Fall 2017 collection ensured a polished finish.

I’m buying everything Lea is selling at the moment. Was she your Queen of Hearts?

Lea Michele In Elisabetta Franchi – ‘The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story’ LA Premiere

Lea Michele joined Penelope Cruz on the red carpet for the premiere of FX’s ‘The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story’ on Monday (January 8) in Hollywood, California.

I love how modern-romantic sensibility is evident within this Elisabetta Franch Spring 2018 jumpsuit.

The looks feels so fresh and refreshing, as I feel at times Lea sticks to tried and true formula; and this broke that mold.

A Lee Savage ‘Cross Stack’clutch and nude Giuseppe Zanotti sandals completed her look.

2018 Golden Globe Awards Parties

The 2018 Golden Globe Awards were a study in many glamorous renditions of the colour black. And, for the most part, the Globes after parties followed suit with the hue taking on all measures of late-night allure.

Diane Kruger: After a regally glamorous entrance at the Globes, Diane was at the InStyle and Warner Bros. post-party, where she imbued black, cropped trousers with a bit of creamy lace in this Alexander McQueen Spring 2018 ensemble. I have a feeling that the tattered, asymmetrical effect of the lace bustier top will turn some away from the more experimental look.

Tessa Thompson: At HBO’s official after party in LA, Tessa suited up in an Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2017 Couture menswear-inspired look that delivered plenty of intriguing edge when styled with the MATEO jewelry and bauble-accented sandals. I was happy for the sheer shirting underneath to balance the boxier shape of the tuxedo blazer.

Nina Dobrev: The actress flaunted her toned abs at the InStyle party in this Ralph Lauren cutout gown. Even with the futuristic liquid-silver paneling, something about the look read a bit dated. Alexis Bittar choker completed her look.

The Hollywood Reporter’s 2017 Women In Entertainment Breakfast Red Carpet Roundup

There were many more fashionable femmes in attendance at The Hollywood Reporter’s 2017 Women In Entertainment Breakfast on Wednesday (December 6) in Hollywood, California, joining Zoey Deutch and Jennifer Lawrence.

Amandla Stenberg: With a bold play on colour-blocking, this Solace London Resort 2018 ensemble celebrated the feminine form—even with menswear-inspired trousers. I like the vivid curve of the red-orange halter in contrast with the white waistband piece. Nicholas Kirkwood embellished pumps completed the look.

Lea Michele: The actress opted for the elegant-girly aesthetic of designer Lela Rose with this floral-embroidered frock.

Isla Fisher: The suiting trend got a punchy, graphic boost in this Alice + Olivia Resort 2018 matching jacket and pants, styled with a coordinating navy blouse.

Lea Michele In J. Mendel – 2017 American Music Awards

Lea Michele didn’t go the micro-mini route for the 2017 American Music Awards on Sunday (November 19) in LA.

I wasn’t expecting this J. Mendel Spring 2018 blush-hue look at all. But I have to say, being unpredictable is working a treat for Lea.

Bring a dose of femininity to the event, a romantic spell is cast with this gown which features an uplifting bodice decked in beads and intricate embroidery.

Heavenly pink stone earrings completed one of Lea’s finest looks of 2017.
