Lea Michele started her awards season with an Oscar and ended it with an Oscar…de la Renta of course.

I was more interested and wowed by Lea Michele on the red carpet this awards season than Carey Mulligan.

They’re both red carpet newbie’s, but Lea’s look had more variety.

All of these looks are amazing, but my heart belongs to her stunning green Malandrino gown.

Regular readers will know that I asked the fashion gods to grant me one wish this year.

That wish was to see this stunning Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2010 gown on the red carpet at a major event.

Angie Harmon made my wish come true and I will be eternally grateful.

She totally did justice to this ombre ruby embroidered tulle gown.

I personally wouldn’t have belted it, but the belt doesn’t ruin the look for me.

I’m loving everything about Lea Michele’s look.

She’s so chic, sophisticated and brings such a high level of maturity to red carpet dressing, without looking too old.

In the few months she’s been walking the red carpet, she has taken ownership of everything she’s worn, from her goddess green Malandrino look to her Romona Keveza Grammy’s look, but this…THIS IS WOW.

The Glee actress wore a black silk faille Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2010 gown to Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Party with Chopard jewels.

The rosette detail has been pushed back so it wasn’t in her face as girlfriend works this look.

Look at that shape.

I love a S-shaped pose on the red carpet. Victoria Beckham has mastered this pose.

I kinda think this was the pose Kristen Stewart may have been trying to pull off at the main event.

Lea Michele appears to be the official “Glee” representative.

The actress has graced the red carpet at nearly every high profile event over the past few weeks from the Grammy Awards to the DGA Awards this weekend.

The star looked breath-taking in this nude Herve L. Leroux gown.

It really gives her an amazing sleek silhouette, but I can’t help but think she would’ve look so much better in navy, forest green or even black.

I’m guessing she opted for a bright pop of red on her lips to prevent her seeming too washed out or one-tone.

I wanna fall head-over-heels in love with this look, but some thing’s holding me back.

Lea Michele looked adorable as she walked the red carpet at her first Grammy Awards.

I’m so glad the “Glee” actress got the big gown out of the way earlier in this awards season, because since then her choices have been young and fun.

This Romona Keveza Spring 2010 dress is a perfect example of that.

I love the asymmetrical chiffon detail over the fitted bodice and the feathery-like skirt, but I don’t like heels.

So unimaginative for such a stunning dress.

Best Dressed from “Glee” Award
It feels like there’s so many cast members from “Glee” at these awards shows, but tonight Lea Michele stood out.

The Oscar de la Renta Globes gown was too old and grand for her, but this emerald green Malandrino Spring 2010 gown with a plunging ruffled neckline feels more youthful.

The colour really pops on the red carpet, and her hair and make-up was flawless.

She also looks more comfortable here, which adds to the overall appeal of this look.

Penelope Cruz wore a Armani Privé Spring 2005 black gown with a mermaid tail.

I like the lace the detail around the bust a shoulder line but I’m a little bored by Penelope in black again.

I feel that she’s trying to channel her Spanish roots here but it somehow looks a little messy.

Glenn Close sparkled in this black Oscar de la Renta floor length Fall 2009 dress.

I just feel it isn’t special enough for the Globes.

The bust line of the dress and the bare shoulders make her arms look too muscular.

Rose Byrne wore a Lanvin Pre-Fall 2010 dress in a deep purple with a bow detail at the waist.

I’m glad Rose decided to wear the dress in this colour but I apart from that I’m left feeling a little bored.

Kate Hudson walked the red carpet in a Marchesa Bridal Spring 2010 gown with sculptured band bodice and bottom flared skirt.

I just can’t make you my mind about this. Part of me is thinking “what the hell?” and the other part doesn’t mind it so much.

I’ve never really got why stars wear bridal looks on the red carpet but I’m actually quite drawn to the sculpting on the dress.

The shoes are way too heavy though.

Jaime Pressly is shimmering in this Kevan Hall Spring 2010 dress with a split up one side.

I prefer this dress on the model as I feel that it has more of an impact against brunette hair.

I don’t think the champagne coloured clutch compliments this dress at all.

Jenna Fischer wore a dress from Halston’s Spring 2010 collection.

I like it but I don’t love it. I just can’t see how this dress is event appropriate. This is a star’s chance to shine and this dress is never going to deliver that moment.

“Glee” actress Lea Michelle looks breath-taking wearing one of my favourite looks from the Isaac Mizrahi Spring 2010 collection.

She brought a hint of Parisian flair to the “Fox All Star Party” in LA last night, wearing this coquettish two tone strapless dress with a sweet-heart neckline and delightful rosette detail on the hip.

Her hair was styled into a chic ponytail which showed of her gold complementary earrings.

I love the colour of her bronzed heels, but I don’t actually like the heels themselves.

The look is complete with a Fendi textured clutch.

Yet another worthy BDOTW contender.

We’re seeing some great looks on the red carpet this year and we’re only 2 weeks in.
