Lea Michele Takes A Stroll In New York City Wearing Alaïa

Lea Michele was spotted out in Tribeca on Tuesday (August 15) in New York City, ahead of her performance for the Broadway show, ‘Funny Girl.’

Stage actors are not included in the SAG AFTRA strike that has shut Hollywood down.

Broadway operates with its own union, the Actors’ Equity Association, which was created in 1913 and represents more than 51,000 actors and stage managers across the country.

We saw plenty of graceful hoods pop up throughout Pieter Mulier’s recent collections for Alaïa – after all, the designer’s dedicated to paying homage to the stylistic choices of its predecessor in as many ways as he can.

Here we see Lea looking super chic wearing a black Alaïa hooded bodysuit paired with contrasting shorts which was a wonderful amalgamation of sartorial and casual codes, especially when you factor in the shades, By Far Molly ballet flats and the pop of colour from her Savette top handle bag.

Some might wish that Lea opted to wear black shorts, but I feel that the contrast ensured this has a fresh, daytime feel to it.

An all black look would’ve worked just as well, but for a evening event.
