This Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2008 ensemble would not be easy to pull off, because the colour are so strong.

Many would have stayed away from this look, but not Kerry Washington. She looks gorgeous.

She, like her dress, have no personality.

I love the print on Eliza Dushku kimono sleeve dress. Like most of the others on this red blue carpet, she did not opt for black.

First Annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon

Regular readers will know that I LOVE the designer Elie Saab and Kerry Washington (minus her shorter hair style). So you can imagine how much I fell in love with Kerry in this stunning Elie Saab Spring 2008 Couture ensemble.

Jada Pinkett-Smith looked fabulous in this vintage Nina Ricci red-and-white polka dot haltered gown.

Katie Holmes wore this black and white Alexander McQueen Spring 2008 draped dress with structured sleeves.

Katie teamed her dress with the same lavender Christian Louboutin peep-toes, she wore to the Welcome To LA Party she hosted for Victoria and David Beckham.

Soon to be divorced Tracey Edmonds attended this event looking very sexy in this black keyhole Roberto Cavalli dress with black bowed sandals.

Kara Ross NY Oscar Collection Cocktail Party, LA

Busy night for Miss Washington.

To this event she wore a satin ombre pink bowed top, and a black satin skirt, which are both from the Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2008 collection.

This asymmetric 80s Oscar De La Renta gown is beautifully colourful on Angie Harmon.

Demi Moore goes old school glamour in a white Roberto Cavalli gown with a fur jacket.

Minus the hair, I am loving how sophisticated Kate Hudson looks in this Christian Dior off-the-shoulder satin gown.

Charlize Theron opted for a sexy sheer Christian Dior Spring 2008 gown. She completed the look with stunning jewels.

Before her pregnancy Salma Hayek style was very sexy and in your face. Post-pregnancy she has become very bland on the red carpet. I am not liking this Alexander McQueen Fall 2006 dress on her at all.

Kate Beckinsale also opted for a sheer black gown, but hers is a YSL vintage gown.

Molly Sims’ Katy Rodriguez Spring 2008 green and white dress would have worked if she had done something more drastic with her hair.

Rumer Willis halter dress looks very restricting. I imagine she would have had to hop down the red carpet.

Rachel Zoe’s seems to be less wrinkly than usual.

Eva Longoria wore this sequined, beaded black and nude Jenny Packham Spring 2008 cocktail mini dress, for an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman last night. She team her dress with a pair of black YSL tribute pumps.

She looks so cute, but I wish she saved this dress for the red carpet.

Jessica Alba continues looking fabulous on the red carpet. At her LA premiere she wore a midnight blue Nacriso Rodriguez Pre Fall 2008 silk reverse charmeuse dress.

Joy Bryant was easily the best dressed at this event wearing an ensemble from Ralph Lauren Spring 2008 collection.

She looks so angelic. I love that cropped jacket.

Christy Turlington steps out in this Chanel halter dress, looking younger and younger every time I see her.

Natasha Richardson looks amazing here, she is glowing and I am not just referring to the dress.

I am getting my hair done tomorrow, and I have been contemplating bangs for a while. Molly Sims gets it so right here wearing a beige Versace gown.

Whereas Jennifer Esposito gets is so wrong. Her bangs are the terrible. Had she blow dried her hair, and not let it matte like it has, she would have looked much better.

Her ombré gown would have looked fabulous if it not for the lace detail. She should have been brave and gone for the deep plunge neck look.

Could have been so beautiful, could have been so right, but no.

This Isaac Mizrahi Fall 2007 strapless floral dress that Veronica Webb is wearing, is making me feel quite ill. Some times it would be better just to reject the free dress.

Just say no.

Teri announced to the world at Sunday’s SAG Awards that her contract with the designers means she has to wear their clothes. I guess that contract only applies to when she is in the US.

Tyra Banks consistently dresses like she is making up for not going to the prom, but for once Tyra Banks does not look like a drag queen here, and her hair does not look like it was glued to her scalp.

I love everything from breast bone up, but I am torn on the everything from the breast bone down on this Georges Chakra gown.

Vivica A. Fox is absolutely stunning in this electric blue plunge neck embellished dress. This is one of her best dresses to date.

Don’t you think Vivica is looking more and more like Lil Kim’s mother each time you see her?

Vivica, lay off the plastic surgery.

I was unsure about Kerry Washington’s new ‘do when she attended the Glamour V Day Luncheon. Now I know I just don’t like it.

What I do like is this dress. I love the emerald green, and the embellishments on this Marchesa gown are truly divine.

She carried a Daniel Swarovski’s ultra chic Beverly Hills silver crystal evening bag encrusted with a 0.1 carat baguette-cut diamond. Wowzer.

I am so glad Jill Scott did not wear black or something equally boring.

She celebrates her womanly curves in this nude embellished dress.

Even in this ultra feminine dress, Keyshia Cole, still manages to look quite manly with those hideous tattoo’s. If she had pushed her hair back off her face this dress may have worked for her.

Alicia Keys was also at this event wearing a stunning Naeem Khan Spring 2008 gown.

She is has improved a lot this year on the red carpet and has great style. I would never have thought she would choose such a avant garde jacket, which suits her so well.

I am LOVING Jennifer Hudson’s new do. This is a great look for her as I was tiring of her big curly do.

It has been a while since we saw Jennifer wearing not so formal clothes, so this Michael Kors pavement grey jersey dress and boots combo is a welcome change.

Keisha Whitaker on the opposite side of the hair scale is having a nightmare with her new do. It is just not working at all.

Change it before the Oscars pleeeeease.

It is not often you see Oprah Winfrey on the red carpet, and when you do it is usually in pastel colours, so I am loving this tan leather skirt with a chocolate brown embellished top.
