Kerry Washington In Wes Gordon – 2013 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner

Ever the fashion girl, Kerry Washington turned heads once again at the 2013 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner last night in Washington, D.C.

After her recent Michael Kors eyebrow-raiser, the ‘Scandal’ star stunned in this monochromatic, sweeping halter gown from Wes Gordon’s Fall 2013 outing, paired with Vhemier jewels and a Jil Milan clutch.

I was actually a bit surprised that she picked a dress from this ‘scandalous’ collection for the White House Dinner, as the young designer was said to have been inspired to create looks for a “girl who’s having an affair with one of the Rolling Stones.”

But even with the backless silhouette and the exploded lace-print layered skirt, Kerry managed to tame down the runway exit into a more politically correct look, removing the leather arm gloves (and the edgy, rock-star styling).

The actress really elevates this look from runway grunge to red-carpet refinement.

After pulling back her bangs during her last few appearances, Kerry returned to the full-on fringe, perhaps in honour of the FLOTUS.

Kerry Washington In Michael Kors – 2013 MTV Movie Awards

Kerry Washington was back on the red carpet as one of the presenters at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards held at the Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California on Sunday evening.

The ‘Scandal’ actress showcased her love for a high-low hemline once again, wearing a look from the Michael Kors Fall 2013 collection.

Almost similar in style to Zoe Saldana’s look, Kerry’s dress features a solid black long-sleeved top; however, her stand-out piece features a bold neon-orange flowing train.

I had pictured someone much taller wearing this peplum gown, but Kerry is never one to shy away from a statement-making red carpet moment.

There is no doubt in my mind that this gown is going to be the marmite look of the evening; you will either love it or hate it.

Even though the gown was supposed to be the centre of attention, Kerry added an orange ostrich Klutch it by Kele clutch. I wish her clutch had been simple and black like her Roger Vivier pumps.

The clutch is the only downside of her look for me.

Kerry Washington In Jason Wu – Human Rights Campaign Los Angeles Gala Dinner

Kerry Washington was joined by her ‘Scandal’ co-stars on the red carpet at the JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. LIVE for the 2013 Human Rights Campaign Los Angeles Gala on Saturday night.

The actress opted for classic black, wearing a strapless Jason Wu satin bustier gown which featured white stitching, a sweetheart neckline and a layered organza full-skirt.

A black Bottega Veneta clutch, Christian Louboutin ‘Batignolles’ grey python point-toe pumps, a walnut fossilized walrus ivory rectangular Monique Péan ring with white diamond pavé, gold earrings and a matching headband completed her look.

During her promo tour ‘Django Unchained’ and during awards season, Kerry wore a lot of colourful looks, so this rare all-black look serves as a delightful break from the norm.

Kerry Washington In Lanvin – The Weinstein Company Academy Award Party

Prior to taking to the red carpet for the 2013 Oscars in her stunning Miu Miu gown, Kerry Washington attended The Weinstein Company Academy Award Party hosted by Chopard at Soho House in West Hollywood, California on Saturday.

The ‘Scandal’ actress wore a Lanvin Spring 2013 LBD.

Her look features one shoulder, a tied detail on the waist and a sexy slit that hits the thigh.

As you know, I’m slightly obsessed with Kerry’s style. This classic LBD with a twist hits a lot of high notes: it’s sexy, edgy and fashion forward.

A gold Kotur clutch and black satin Casadei ‘Blade’ pumps accessorized her look.

Kerry Washington In Miu Miu – 2013 Oscars

Kerry Washington hit the red carpet on Sunday at the 2013 Oscars at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

Nominated under the best picture category for ‘Django Unchained’ Kerry sparkled in a custom Miu Miu gown. This is not the first time during award season the actress chose a Miu Miu design, as she sported an equally stunning dress by the label at the Golden Globes.

Kerry brightened up the red carpet in a strapless coral-hued dress with a sweet bow detail at the bustline and a sparkly bodice with silver beading and coral paillettes.

Kerry styled her beautiful gown with a matching coral satin clutch from Prada and a light-catching diamond cocktail ring from Fred Leighton and Chopard earrings.

Kerry’s beauty style for the night really let her dress shine, as she chose to go with a natural makeup look with a nude lip, grey metallic eyeshadow, and her hair in a soft wave with an on-trend center part.

Kerry Washington In Giambattista Valli Couture – 2013 Independent Spirit Awards

Kerry Washington opted for a head-to-toe floral look at the 2013 Independent Spirit Awards this afternoon, which was held on Santa Monica Beach, California.

The beautiful actress wore a Giambattista Valli Fall 2012 Couture dress.

Her dark on the top, light on the skirt floral confection was styled with floral print Christian Louboutin ‘Sissi’ pumps and a blush coloured Bottega Veneta clutch.

Kerry’s look, which was perfectly in touch with the relaxed nature of the event, featured kohl-rimmed eyes and neutral lip colour, with blunt bangs and wavy locks framing her pretty face.

This look couldn’t be more perfect.
