Chanel Resort 2018 Front Row

Designer Karl Lagerfeld brought the storied glories of ancient Greece to Paris as inspiration for his Chanel Resort 2018 show on Wednesday (May 3). A group of Chanel-donning darlings looked on from the front row.

Keira Knightley: Keira kept things sophisticated but very subdued in her lace overlay dress topped off with classic Chanel tweed. However, the look was begging for some element of allure—and the lacklustre olive shoes didn’t fit the bill.

Liu Shishi: How adorable was Liu in this sweater dress styled with a diaphanous blouse and sporty-chic lace-up heels. This is how Chanel does schoolgirl charm.

Charlotte Casiraghi: I loved this rich shade of navy blue on Charlotte, even if the flash wasn’t so kind to her bra underneath. However, the suede boots placed the look firmly in a fall mood.

On Set With Keira Knightley Wearing Zadig et Voltaire & Theory

Keira Knightley was captured on set shooting ‘Love Actually’s’ Comic Relief reboot with the supremely handsome Chiwetel Ejiofor this week.

We’re used to seeing the British actress wearing the likes of Chanel, Valentino and Rodarte, but here, comfy loungewear was the order of the day.

Loungewear doesn’t have to be sweat pants and a tee shirt, the look can be stylish, sensual and sophisticated.

Keira’s Zadig et Voltaire ‘Baly Bis’ sweater and Theory scarf print trouser combo certainly delivers on all those points; plus provide supreme comfort.

I love how the ‘Love’ logo top cheekily makes reference to the original movie, and how the loose and languid feel her trousers aligns with the current pyjamas-as-daywear trend.

An Evening Honoring Valentino Black Tie Gala

An Evening Honoring Valentino Black Tie Gala
A lovely list of fashionables were in attendance for ‘An Evening Honoring Valentino’ black-tie gala at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in New York City on Monday (December 7), where Valentino confections were the dress code of the night, naturally.

Diane Kruger: A sense of noir-inspired mystery was alive and well in the actress’s Valentino Fall 2015 Couture feathered gown, which was intricately embroidered throughout and dramatically elevated by the cape. The statement pendant necklace surprisingly isn’t too far overboard, working with the dark extravagance here. Instead, I would remove the one-earring effect. A Rauwolf box clutch completed the look.

Olivia Palermo: Solemnly sophisticated, Olivia donned a Valentino Fall 2015 black gown embellished in an array of golden geometry for a tapestry-like effect. Needing little in the way of accessories, she complied with a more subdued clutch and a simple, slicked-back ponytail and headband.

Keira Knightley In Gucci – ‘Therese Raquin’ Broadway Opening Night

Keira Knightley In Gucci - 'Therese Raquin' Broadway Opening Night

Keira Knightley celebrated her Broadway opening night of ‘Therese Raquin’ at Studio 54 on Thursday (October 29) in New York City.

The actress changed a habit of a lifetime when she donned this Gucci Resort 2016 tri-colour silk chiffon ruffled and pleated dress styled with purple pumps.

What was vibrant and electrifying in movement on the runway, became a tad frumpy and overwhelming when stationary off the runway.

The pleats between the ruffles were the undeniable factor in bringing this look alive.

What say you?

Who Wore Alessandra Rich Better…Keira Knightley or Alexa Chung?

Who Wore Alessandra Rich Better Keira Knightley or Alexa Chung

Keira Knightley and Alexa Chung both looked charming while wearing this vintage-inspired Alessandra Rich Spring 2015 cold-shoulder dress which they styled very differently.

Keira wore her dress back in October while attending Mario Testino’s birthday party in London, styling her look with gold Prada pumps and a Chanel purse.

Most recently Alexa styled her dress with her favourite Charlotte Olympia ‘Kitty’ flats while celebrating Piaget’s new Possession collection.

This was a tricky one as both ladies wore the look well. But, the belt makes the look so Alexa wins for me.

Keira Knightley In Valentino Couture – 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Keira Knightley In Valentino Couture - 2015 Vanity Fair Party

Keira Knightley headed to the 2015 Vanity Fair Party at Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts last night (February 22) in Beverly Hills, California after the big award show .

For her second look of the night, she chose to wear a second gown from the Valentino Spring 2015 Couture collection. And while the first look was gauzy, floral and feminine, for her after-hours gown, she went for the complete opposite.

She kept her hair and makeup the same–simple and unassuming.

The dark, velvet material is rich and luxe, but that’s about all I can say here.

While editing out the open side-panels of the dress make sense for her pregnant figure, in so doing, she’s taken away all the interest of the gown, since her long hair hides all that is left of the winged bodice design.

There is certainly no wow factor here, unfortunately.

Keira Knightley In Valentino Couture – 2015 Oscars

Keira Knightley In Valentino Couture - 2015 Oscars

Keira Knightley was also in attendance at the 2015 Oscars, held at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 22) in Hollywood, California.

Following a familiar bohemian vibe, the actress’s Valentino Spring 2015 Couture confection was very much a Keira gown.

The smocked bodice and wispy layered chiffon skirt were whimsically embroidered with a garden of needlepoint floral and swooping, cursive phrases; it was a softly gracious silhouette for her burgeoning baby bump.

While she didn’t wear Chanel, she did style the look with Chanel Fine Jewelry, also crowning her wavy locks with an embellished headband.

At first I wasn’t drawn to the nude colouring against her alabaster skin, but the poetic, dream-like quality of the gown won me over.

Yay or nay?
