2017 Grammy Awards Artists Second Looks

For the 2017 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 12) in LA, some stars didn’t only rock one look. It was a double feature—a triple feature for a few—with quick changes all night long.

Celine Dion: Don’t let the side view of this Mugler Pre-Fall 2017 black gown fool you. It was still slit way up to there, as presented in the look book, showing off some major leg as the music icon took the stage to present the award for Song of the Year.

Katy Perry In Tom Ford – 2017 Grammy Awards

Katy Perry gave everyone something to talk about at the 2017 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 12).

The singer wore a look from Tom Ford’s Fall 2016 runway collection and various ring stacks.

Against my better judgement, I don’t hate this look! It is definitely a lot to pull off, but it’s fun and quirky, and if anyone can do it, it’s Katy. So I’m going to ignore the slightly problematic proportions and just get onto the love!

If any red carpet should be about fun and expression, it’s the Grammy’s, and Katy is embracing both with this look. I mean, how can you not have fun in chin-to-toe sequins and ombré feathers?

Plus, her messy, newly platinum ‘do is completely fierce, and makeup is impeccable, to boot.

Katy Perry In Ulyana Sergeenko Couture – 8th Annual GO Campaign Gala

Katy Perry In Ulyana Sergeenko Couture - 8th Annual GO Campaign Gala

Katy Perry attended the 8th Annual GO Campaign Gala at Montage Beverly Hills on Thursday (November 12) in Beverly Hills, California.

The singer wore a Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2015 Couture look, which I love for the dotted, layered and pleated skirt.

While some might consider this quirky Katy Perry with the handbrake on, I really love that she can find this middle ground of looking elegant while still maintaining plenty of her sparkling personality.

The look was styled with Christian Louboutin ‘Gela Davis’ black satin criss cross point-toe pumps with a chiffon flower detail and a purple ostrich clutch.

Katy Perry In Yousef Al-Jasmi & Alexis Mabille Haute Couture – David Lynch Foundation Benefit Concert

Katy Perry In Yousef Al-Jasmi & Alexis Mabille F15 Haute Couture - David Lynch Foundation Benefit Concert

Katy Perry took to the red carpet before her performance at the David Lynch Foundation Benefit Concert on Wednesday (November 4) in New York City.

Red Carpet: When I looked at Katy Perry in this Yousef Al-Jasmi Spring 2016 jumpsuit, I asked myself, “what the hell happened?” The 70s inspired jumpsuit was sexy on the runway with its slinky silhouette and draped sleeves, but on Katy it’s a hot, unflattering mess from the chest down. My eyes fall straight to her nether regions – a place they don’t want to be – and the studded belt is redundant here. No positives can be draw from this look.

Performance: Things improved 1000% for her performance which saw her don an Alexis Mabille Fall 2015 Couture pale pink gown with a oversized satin bow. Some might deem this detail overkill, but I like the dramatic impact it gives to her performance.

Katy Perry In Saint Laurent - 2015 Harper’s Bazaar ICONS Event

Katy Perry joined Rita Ora on the red carpet for the 2015 Harper’s Bazaar ICONS Event at The Plaza Hotel on Wednesday (September 16) in New York City.

Sporting a new wig, the singer dazzled wearing a sultry gold Saint Laurent gown which looks like a Tina Knowles special.

Perhaps this event was themed, as Katy is giving me 60s Motown diva here.

‘Jeremy Scott: The People’s Designer’ LA Premiere

'Jeremy Scott The People's Designer' LA Premiere

‘Jeremy Scott: The People’s Designer’ premiered at TCL Chinese 6 Theatres on Wednesday (September 8) in Hollywood, California.

While the usual suspects – Katy Perry and Rita Ora – were in attendance, there were others – Dita von Teese and Lily Collins – who seemed very out of place.

Katy Perry: The singer was very much the belle of the ball wearing a Moschino black gown styled with a bespoke Edie Parker clutch. Between the gown and the hair, this screams bad ’80s throwback.

Dita von Teese: Lending some elegance to the event, the burlesque star was looking as graceful as ever wearing a polka dot alluring gown.
