Kate Mara In J. Mendel – ‘Her’ LA Premiere

Kate Mara In J Mendel - 'Her' LA Premiere

Kate Mara joined her sister Rooney Mara on the red carpet on Thursday evening (December 12) for the ‘Her’ LA premiere held at the DGA Theatre in California.

While I’m surprised to see her rockin’ a new blonde ‘do, I’m not surprised to see her wearing a look with an above-the-knee hemline, as she loves to show off her toned pins.

Kate wore a summery J. Mendel Spring 2014 look consisting of a metallic leaf jacquard two-tiered sleeveless top and an ivory leaf-motif-embroidered tulle-crepe-back mini skirt which was lined from the runway.

Quite the yin to her sister’s yang, I’m sure you’ll agree.

A gold clutch and Charlotte Olympia platform heels rounded out her typically pretty look.

Kate Mara In Viktor & Rolf – Martell Caractere Launch Event

Kate Mara In Viktor & Rolf - Martell Caractere Launch Event

Kate Mara took to the red carpet at The Paramour Mansion to celebrate the launch of Martell Caractère, Martell’s newest cognac, in Los Angeles, California yesterday evening.

Dressed head to toe in winter white, she wore an uber-cute dress by Viktor & Rolf which very much speaks to her girlie-girl aesthetic.

Her Resort 2014 sleeveless drop-waist frock with a pointy Peter Pan collar with tonal embroidery and ruffle hem was styled with a studded white Rebecca Minkoff ‘Coco’ clutch and Charlotte Olympia platform peep-toes.

Do you love Kate’s tried-and-true style, or would you like to see her try something different?

Kate Mara In J. Mendel – 2013 Emmy Awards

Kate Mara In J Mendel - 2013 Emmy Awards

Kate Mara took to the red carpet at the 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted on Sunday at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California, wearing the opposite of her sister Rooney Mara’s current favoured colour: black.

Her all-white, J. Mendel Spring 2014 design betrayed a bit of its innocence with its sheer bodice that featured a mesh-lace, peekaboo effect and its daring slit-to-there, double-panel skirt.

She kept the white theme going strong with her lacquered nails and white-edged, clear Charlotte Olympia platform pumps, which actually seemed a bit overwrought for this occasion.

A more minimal, smokey eye, nude lip and a crisp, spit-straight bob finished off the barely accessorized look.

White-hot or not?

Front Row @ Michael Kors Spring 2014

Front Row @ Michael Kors Spring 2014

Michael Kors presented his Spring 2014 collection in The Theatre at Lincoln Center in New York City during Mercedes Benz Fashion week and the front row was lit up with many PYTs.

Kate Mara: I love how opposite Kate is to her noir-loving sister, Rooney Mara. Kate looked sensational in this carnation-pink long-sleeved Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2013 dress with a flared hem. Like Katie she opted for nude Michael Kors accessories, with her red hair worn down on this rare occasion.

Katie Holmes: Having presented her Holmes & Yang collection a few days before, a relaxed and refreshed star took her front row seat looking radiant wearing a pretty mid-calf 50s-style Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2013 skirt with a romantic rose-print styled with a leaf cashmere knit sweater, nude belt, clutch and ‘Avra’ pumps from the same collection.

Harley Viera-Newton: Working a chic Park-Avenue-princess look, the socialite wore a pink cropped jacket with the matching strapless dress and white ‘Evelyn’ pumps from Michael Kors’ Pre-Fall 2013 collection with white-rimmed shades and a white clutch. You may remember that Naya Rivera wore the same dress sans cropped jacket recently.

Kate Mara In Dolce & Gabbana – 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards

Kate Mara In Dolce & Gabbana - 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards

Kate Mara kept things short and sweet at the 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards, hosted by Bravo TV’s Andy Cohen, on Monday night at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in New York City.

Wearing an alternative interpretation of an LBD from Dolce & Gabbana, the ‘House of Cards’ actress also followed the see-through trend with the doily cutouts that perforated this frock.

Lined in illusion nude from the waist down, the top portion played peek-a-boo with a black bra-lette, while a gorgeous, but seemingly out-of-place, jade-green necklace tumbled into the lacy neckline of the dress.

The pendant’s colour did set alight her auburn waves while spicing up her radiant, yet minimal makeup.

A Brian Atwood ‘Concy’ clutch, studded peep-toe Brian Atwood ‘Carla Laser Team’ pumps put a punk edge on this dark flower-child look.
