Kate Hudson In Michael Kors ‘Wish I Was Here’ New York Screening

Kate Hudson In Michael Kors 'Wish I Was Here' New York Screening

Kate Hudson attended the ‘Wish I Was Here’ screening at AMC Lincoln Square Theater on Monday (July 14) in New York City.

The actress took a darker turn colour-wise, opting for a black Michael Kors Resort 2015 gown with a sequin bustier featuring a cut-out detail at the waist.

This is quite a sensational and unexpected choice, considering the actress loves bubbly summery hues, and especially when you factor in the dark lips which may not go down too well with the majority.

With the accessories kept to a minimum, the result was understated and elegant, with a touch of mystery.

Do you agree, or is the lip colour turning you off?

Armani Privé Fall 2014 Front Row

Armani Privé Fall 2014 Front Row

Giorgio Armani packed the front row with celebs for the Armani Privé Fall 2014 show held at the Théâtre National de Chaillot on Tuesday (July 8) in Paris, France during Haute Couture Fashion Week.

Kate Hudson: Oozing with A-list glamour, the actress stunned wearing an Armani Privé Spring 2014 embellished long-sleeved V-neck jumpsuit accented with a silk scarf with a brooch-like detail on the shoulder. The only thing which lets this look down for me is the shower/gym-bun hairstyle.

Pink: We don’t usually see the singer at Couture week, so could this signal a change in style? We will have to wait and see. Pink wore an Armani black satin dress with a beaded bodice which was perhaps too tent-like for my liking.

Kate Hudson In Osman & RVN - Out In New York City

Kate Hudson was spotted leaving her hotel in New York City on Tuesday (May 20).

Showcasing her street style, the actress opted for a chic monochrome look, wearing a white and black graphic tee from Osman’s Resort 2014 collection paired with a black RVN high-waisted pencil skirt, which was the ideal mix-and-match piece for a casual-glam appearance.

The styling couldn’t be more perfect and inspiring, with orange pumps, a Chanel bag and an awesome pair of blue mirrored aviator Raybans completing her look.

I want everything about this look, including the glossy waves.

Kate Hudson In Etro & Candela – Chrome Hearts & Kate Hudson Garden Party

Kate Hudson In Etro & Candela - Chrome Hearts & Kate Hudson Garden Party

Kate Hudson hosted a garden party to celebrate her collaboration with Chrome Hearts on Thursday (May 8) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress wore an earthy boho look featuring free-flowing Etro silk print palazzo trousers from the Spring 2010 collection which boosts a contemporary spirit styled with an ivory Candela ‘Crawley’ sheer intricate lace top with eyelash lace trims.

Kate recently sat down with ‘Haute Living’ to chat about what she’s learned from mom Goldie Hawn, what she’ll be doing with sons Ryder, 10, and Bingham, 3 on Mothers’ Day.

On the most important lesson her mother ever taught her: There is not just one. Every time someone asks me one of these questions, I have a very serious answer, though one [of those lessons] would probably be don’t take yourself too seriously! There’s something about my mom. She’s really forgiving by nature. She’s a tough mom; she’s not in any way what people would think she’d be as a mother. She’s very strong-minded, very tough and can be strict, but she’s also so forgiving and non-judgmental. The word is accepting; there’s nothing self-righteous about my mother. There was nothing growing up with my mom that was like, ‘This is the way it’s supposed to be’ or ‘You need to look like that’ or ‘I want to see you create this.’ There was nothing like that. My mom was always just about ‘Do you feel good? Are you happy? Is what you’re doing bringing you a sense of feeling grounded? Are you feeling all over the place?’ For my mom, it was really just about wanting to see the life and life around the connections of what she created to look and feel good, that it wasn’t filled with stress or complications, that you’re taking care of your heart. Her whole foundation is about being on this journey for what makes people feel real happiness, authentic, truthful and good about what they’re doing and who they are. She’s optimistic; it’s her way. If anything, [what I've learned from my mom] is a philosophy more than it is advice. It’s become enabling where your focus is to what is really important in your life. That’s mom. Anything else is kind of an auxiliary part of our lives and is not as important to her.

On her go-to outfit: My go-to outfit is jeans, heels and a T-shirt. I’ll probably be wearing a dress [on Mother's Day though] with the way it’s been lately.

On her Mother’s Day plans: Home at the house with my kids and my mom and my dad and my brother and his family and my other brother and my other brother, all the brothers…and Bloody Marys! Bloody Marys are my favorite things on the planet – my favorite cocktail on the planet. Any excuse for a Bloody! My mom likes her Bellinis, but I like my Bloody Marys.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Lupita Nyong’o In Prada, Kate Hudson In Atelier Versace & Pink In Elie Saab Couture

Best Dressed Of The Week - Lupita Nyong'o In Prada, Kate Hudson In Atelier Versace & Pink In Elie Saab Couture

With so many great looks to hit the red carpet last week you had trouble picking a clear favourite, so the honour was shared between the fairytale Prada gown worn by Lupita Nyong’o and Kate Hudson’s caped creation from Atelier Versace.

I still have goosebumps from Pink’s Elie Saab Couture red embellished gown. Even though I had this on my wish list for Jessica Chastain, the singer looked outstanding in her Oscar performance look.

Get The Look: Kate Hudson’s Glamorous Waves at the Oscars 2014

86th Annual Academy Awards - ArrivalsKate Hudson looked divine while taking to the red carpet at the 2014 Oscars in Atelier Versace on Sunday.

Inspired by both Veronica Lake and Jerry Hall, celeb hairstylist Chris McMillan created a gorgeous, 1940s look. He started with using Living Proof’s Prime Style Extender to seal Kate’s hair and protect it from frizzing in the rain. “[It] was our most important tool for creating a look that would last the whole night.”

He applied this to wet hair and began blow-drying it with a round brush. He gave Kate a deep side part for “a touch of glamour” and used the Living Proof Satin Hair Serum just on the ends for sheen.

To give the ends more bounce, he used a 1-inch curling iron throughout and then brushed through with the Mason Pearson Boar Bristle Brush.

To keep it all together, he spritzed Living Proof Flex Shaping Hairspray all over.
