Red Carpet Fashion Awards

The Sixth Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic

The Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic took place on Saturday in Jersey City.

Last year’s event was so well turned out with stars wearing summery LWDs, but this year there was just a mishmash of looks, with not all seeming to befit the occasion.

Dree Hemingway: The model donned denim overalls, channelling her inner mechanic. She did style the look well with a Sophia Webster ‘Hold Me Speech Bubble’ leather clutch and platform heels.

Camila Alves: It’s been a while since we saw this style of Herve Leger dress on the red carpet. As beautiful as the TV host looks in this yellow-hued dress, all I can think about is Heidi Montag, who used to wear these dresses religiously.

Ashley Olsen: No surprises that the designer wore an oversized vintage look. While I do find myself liking this gold-embroidered red kaftan, which she styled with The Row accessories and Hermes shoes, a belt and some heels would’ve improved the look.

Julia Restoin Roitfeld: You may instantly recognise Julia’s Dolce & Gabbana floral frock. That’s because Lea Seydoux wore it last week during Cannes Film Festival. Julia styled her look with green wedges and a white Dolce & Gabbana bag. This is the only look I liked at this event.

I hope you all keep up with my tweets and Instagram pictures from the MAC & Carine Roitfeld ‘Le Bal’ celebrations which took place yesterday at the Hotel Salomon de Rothschild during Paris Fashion Week.

One of the first to arrive was the lovely Karlie Kloss, my hero, who looked gorgeous wearing an Alexander Wang Spring 2013 fresh-off-the-runway look.

She got the ‘smoky eye’ memo, as did Poppy Delevingne, who smouldered on the red carpet wearing an Emilio Pucci black long-sleeve dress with a gold dragon from the recent Spring 2013 collection.

Carine Roitfeld arrived wearing signature all black Givenchy avec smoky eyes, the inspiration for the whole evening.

A heavily pregnant Julia Restoin-Roitfeld took to the red carpet for the 7th Annual Chanel Tribeca Film Festival Artists Dinner held at The Odeon in New York City last night.

Julia opted to shun the expected dress code and wear a Prada Spring 2012 dress.

Her pretty pink babydoll dress with a flamed hem is a cute look, but it does appear to be too tight up top.

Nude platform heels completed her look.

Fan Bing Bing: I was really disappointed that pictures of my girl at the 2011 amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala didn’t show up until this morning. She glowed wearing a fuchsia pink Louis Vuitton strapless ruffled bustier gown. I love that she opted for a more natural look again, as this is when her beauty really shines through. LV L’Ame du Voyage collection jewels and a LV minaudiere completed her look.

Jane Fonda: The actress looked stunning wearing a Roberto Cavalli long sleeve beaded gown. I just love her emerald Chopard earrings which are the perfect complement to her look.

Charlene Wittstock: The blonde beauty arrived with her fiancé Prince Albert of Monaco wearing a Giorgio Armani Privé dove grey gown. Her multi-layered off-the-shoulder gown was embellished with crystals around the empire waist.

Last night InStyle UK hosted a party to celebrate the iconic glamour of Dolce & Gabbana.

Some of the UK finest celebs turned out to toast the Italian fashion house.

Actress Bonnie Wright paid homage to the designers by wearing one of their classic bustier dresses, which we’ve seen a thousand times yet it never goes out of style.

Singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor was one of the few who opted to wear some colour. She wore a Dolce & Gabbana crushed satin purple sleeveless dress.

It looks like she didn’t only get a dress from the Lanvin for H&M collection, she also got one of their necklaces too. (jealous)

Former Sugababes singer Keisha Buchanan paired a Corre Nelson ensemble with a Fiona Packston necklace and Finsk shoes.

These have to be the most interesting black pumps I’ve seen in a while.

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld who’s usually loves to wear fitted mini dresses opted for a black silk vintage dress which she teamed with a Coco de Mer belt and an Alexander McQueen clutch.

There was a lot of black at this event, but it wouldn’t quite be a Dolce & Gabbana party without a lot of stars the designers favourite colour.
