amfAR New York Gala To Kick Off Fall 2013 Fashion Week Red Carpet Round Up

Many more stars joined Sarah Jessica Parker and Alexa Chung on the red carpet last night for the amfAR New York Gala to kick off Fall 2013 Fashion Week.

Heidi Klum: No surprises that the Project Runway host wore a Michael Kors gown. Her black jersey halter gown with crystal embroidery was styled with a white-and-black diamond necklace and a matching ring by her favourite jeweller, Lorraine Schwartz. Sleek locks and kohl-rimmed eyes completed her look.

Crystal Renn: The model was wearing… you guessed it – Zac Posen. Her bold red gown with a floor-sweeping skirt was styled with Lorraine Schwartz ruby earrings and a retro updo. As predictable as this look is, for Crystal it never gets old.

Heidi Klum In Alexandre Vauthier Couture – 2013 Golden Globe Awards

It looks like the A.P.B for Heidi Klum’s missing mojo worked, as she returned to her spectacular best on the red carpet on Sunday evening for the 2013 Golden Globe Awards, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in LA.

She turned to her favourite designer, Alexandre Vauthier, who created this breathtaking white one-shoulder gown embroidered with gold Swarovski crystals, which took to the runway for his Fall 2012 Couture presentation.

The TV host hasn’t looked this good in a long while.

I was beginning to think we had lost her for good but she pulled out all the stops last night, styling her look with ankle-strap Louboutin ‘Un Bout’ pumps and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Sweeping golden tresses and flawless makeup completed her look.

Welcome back, Heidi; we missed you.

Heidi Klum In Julien Macdonald – 2013 People’s Choice Awards

Heidi Klum flaunted her supermodel superpower during yesterday’s 2013 People’s Choice Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California.

The ‘Project Runway’ host presented on the night wearing slinky black and metallic embellished gown from the Julien Macdonald Spring 2013 collection matched with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Heidi look every bit as good as the runway model, as the strategically placed cutouts and a pin-baring thigh-high slit showed off her statuesque frame.

The asymmetrical neckline added visual interest. Luckily, she tied her hair back into a slick ponytail, so the shape of the dress wasn’t covered up.

Christian Louboutin’s vampy ‘Crosspiga’ stilettos finished the look. It’s not the first time these pointy-toe heels have made an appearance. Rihanna and Bond girl Olga Kurylenko are also fans of this shoe.

Heidi Klum In Alexandre Vauthier Couture – 2012 American Music Awards

Following Heidi Klum’s failure to set our fashion senses alight at the 2012 MTV EMAs, she gave it another go at the 2012 American Music Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in LA on Sunday evening.

She donned a look from Alexandre Vauthier’s Fall 2012 Couture collection.

The TV host wore a gold guipure lace mini dress with a side slit, high neckline, bold shoulders and sheer panels.

Maybe I still have a hangover from Heidi’s fashion failures last week, because I can’t bring myself to get excited about this look.

I don’t know if it’s a case of been-there-and-done-that with Heidi, or that the designer presented 26 looks from this collection and celebs are pretty much wearing the same guipure lace pieces.

Lorraine Schwartz jewels and gold guipure lace Christian Louboutin pumps to match her dress completed her look.

Heidi Klum Wears Only Versace To Host The 2012 MTV EMAs

Following Heidi Klum’s red carpet look at the 2012 MTV European Music Awards, which I did not love, I was worried about the following looks once I discovered that the majority were all from the same collection.

The model opened the show wearing an Atelier Versace Fall 2012 cream gown with a full chiffon skirt and a woven corset top with cut-out and rose gold buckle details.
Keeping with the circus theme of the night, she styled her gown with a black top hat, black leather gloves and cream-coloured Versace heels. This look totally worked for a dramatic opener.

While swinging from a hoop at the top of the arena, the model wore another look from the Versace Spring 2013 collection. Her silk orange mini dress with sheer black lace accents and a black belt was styled with the same knee-high Versace gladiator sandals we saw on the runway. This was one of the few outfits I liked from the runway and Heidi looked beautiful and statuesque in the mini dress. Read more…

Heidi Klum In Versace – 2012 MTV EMAs

Heidi Klum, host of the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards, donned her first of nine Versace frocks when she hit the red carpet on Sunday evening.

The first look was a teal one-sleeve gown from the Spring 2013 collection embellished with intricate gold beading, featuring an asymmetrical plunging neckline, laced up detail and thigh high slit.

It’s a lot to take in; too much in fact. Especially when you factor in the teal lace up pumps and the part-blown-out part-braid bouffant.

Nothing is to my liking here.
