Best Dressed Of The Week – Stana Katic in Carolina Herrera, Emma Stone In Lanvin and Emily Blunt In David Koma

BDOTW 12 Jan

Stana Katic in Carolina Herrera was the readers favourite this week, plus the lovely Emma Stone in Lanvin and Emily Blunt in David Koma were inseparable in the poll this week.

Your best dressed male was Chris Evans in a dressy casual Gucci look.

My favourites were Emily Blunt in David Koma and I would never bet against Chris Hemsworth, who looked dashing in Dolce & Gabbana.

Emma Stone In Lanvin – 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Emma Stone In Lanvin - 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Emma Stone took to the red carpet at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 11) at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

I was completely enamoured with the ‘Birdman’ star and Best Supporting Actress nominee’s ensemble, not the least because it was one of the more unexpected looks of the evening.

Her Lanvin jumpsuit was nothing if not impossibly cool, what with its sparkling silver, embellished bodice and mannish trousers, complete with a statement bow and train in the back—the perfect fusion between feminine and masculine styling.

She smartly kept her jewelry confined to a smattering of midi rings, as this Lanvin design was a jewel in and of itself.

Her flame-red, wavy bob and magenta lip are merely the icing on the cake of a delicious look.

Emma Stone In Lanvin – SAG Foundation Conversations: ‘Birdman’

Emma Stone In Lanvin - SAG Foundation Conversations 'Birdman'

Ahead of Sunday’s Golden Globes, Emma Stone made her first appearance of the year at the SAG Foundation Conversations: ‘Birdman’ held at The New School on Monday (January 5) in New York City.

The actress wore a two-piece Lanvin Pre-Fall 2015 look, with the coral and black A-line embroidered skirt very much the stand-out piece and the black knit top having its own touch of flare via the pink stone accents around the neckline.

I adore this look for its fairy-tale splendour and its mysterious charm.

For me, she can do no wrong.

Emma Stone In Giambattista Valli – Good Morning America

Emma Stone In Giambattista Valli - Good Morning America

Emma Stone made a guest appearance on ‘Good Morning America’ taped at the ABC Times Square Studios on Wednesday (October 15) in New York City to continue to promote her latest movie, ‘Birdman’.

The actress wore a lovely Giambattista Valli Resort 2015 jacquard dress which makes an understated, yet sweet and romantic impression with its trio of bows.

I’m not totally sold on the tan Valentino ‘Rockstud’ pumps with the dainty dress, but I tell myself they could’ve been worse.

Emma Stone's 'Birdman' New York Promo Tour

The last two days have seen a flurry of appearances for Emma Stone, who has been busy promoting her latest movie, ‘Birdman’.

92nd Street Y Film Series: On Monday (October 13) the actress opted for an indigo Michael Kors knit top with a white furry collar styled with smart trousers from the Spring 2015 collection. Sweet, smart and playful, the look was styled with a pair of Aquazzura ‘Matilde’ hot-red pumps.

‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon': Later that same evening the actress made a guest appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s show, opting for another pair of red pumps for her second look; Kurt Geiger ‘Britton’ pumps. Once again the mood was playful in an understated fashion, featuring a black Proenza Schouler sweater styled with Proenza Schouler off white and black windowpane short with pleats which further elongate her slender pins.

Screening Of ‘Birdman’ hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences for official Academy members: After two great looks, I found myself underwhelmed by the third. I would save those gorgeous Aquazzura toecap pumps and the sexy Altuzarra skirt with the asymmetrical slit, but the ill-fitting white top kills this look for me.

I want to say the Jimmy Fallon look is my favourite, but I’m also in love with the indigo/red combo of the Film Series look.
