Cate Blanchett In Stella McCartney – 2014 Zurich Film Festival IWC Photo Exhibition Opening

Cate Blanchett In Stella McCartney - 2014 Zurich Film Festival IWC Photo Exhibition Opening
Cate Blanchett returned to the scene for the 2014 Zurich Film Festival IWC Photo Exhibition Opening during the Zurich Film Festival on Saturday (September 27) in Zurich, Switzerland.

The actress continued her affinity for Stella McCartney, also seen earlier this month, this time donning a textural, nubby-print blue dress from the designer’s Resort 2015 collection.

Retro with oversize tonal buttons and side pockets, the frock featured a free and easy silhouette while riffing on the midriff trend with a triangular cutout. Dark mahogany pumps also played into the vintage-inspired mood, while she completed the look with what was no doubt an IWC watch.

Perhaps it could have looked mumsy on many (or most), but Cate still managed to carry off the piece with her signature elegance and grace. And once those statement shades came off, she couldn’t have looked more radiant with her pretty pink lip.

Cate Blanchett In Stella McCartney – Sydney Theatre Company Launch 2015

Cate Blanchett In Stella McCartney - Sydney Theatre Company Launch 2015

Cate Blanchett stole the show at the Sydney Theatre Company 2015 season launch in Sydney, Australia on Thursday (September 4), where she stood alongside writer/director Andrew Upton.

Radiant in royal purple, Queen Cate took a colourful turn in a Stella McCartney boyfriend-cut suit, paired with a white blouse and Loeffler Randall ‘Joanna’ silver mirrored oxfords.

Bold yet effortless, she rocked the brilliantly mannish look with casually side-swept locks and a contrasting coral-pink lip. Intentional or not, she was also well-coordinated with the backdrop behind her.

Cate Blanchett’s New York Street Style

Cate Blanchett's New York Street Style 13 August 2014

Cate Blanchett is currently in New York, where she is starring in the Broadway show ‘The Maids’.

She may be queen of the red carpet and voted by Vanity Fair as one of the best-dressed women in the world, but when it comes to street style she likes to keep it casual, opting for simple separates with some lust worthy arm candy.

Look One: Donning black overalls she pepped up the look with some high-end accessories, including her silver Tod’s Military mini bag and Roger Vivier ‘Ballerine’ studded flats. It may not be what you would expect from Cate, but it’s very well co-ordinated.

Look Two: I love how she paired her distressed turned-up pair of jeans with a navy 3.1 Phillip Lim Pre-Fall 2014 sweater with a playful poodle head emblazoned across the front for a more fun look. A black Roger Vivier ‘Ines’ shopper, tri-colour sandals plus shades rounded out this look.

Look Three: Earlier today she was spotted in Midtown Manhattan wearing a look which showed she travelled with more than just black and navy. This time she wore a shiny olive bomber jacket with a grey jumpsuit. I’m loving the mash of colours here with the addition of the burgundy Roger Vivier shoulder bag and taupe Givenchy tote. I saw a green bomber jacket in Topshop earlier today but I shied away from it, deeming it to be too much of an 80s throwback, but if the Queen has given the piece the seal of approval, I may just go back tomorrow and try it on.

I have to say that I could barely believe my eyes when I saw Cate; it’s like some particularly heinous comic-book villains stole her sophisticated style.

This Fausto Puglisi Resort 2015 dress, worn with Roger Vivier black pumps, was many shades of wrong—from the pink to the pleats, and from the boxy T-shirt sleeves to the satin detailing.

Better to not dwell on what could be her most disappointing look ever.

I have complete faith that Cate will be recovered in no time and back to her regal red-carpet ways.

Cate Blanchett In Elie Saab Couture – SK-II Promotional Event

Cate Blanchett In Elie Saab Couture - SK-II Promotional Event 2

Cate Blanchett continues to lend her gorgeous face to SK-II by attending a promotional event earlier today (July 22) in Shanghai, China.

Opting for a clean, fresh look perfect for allowing that glowing skin to be the centre of attention, the Australian actress wore an Elie Saab Spring 2013 Couture white embroidered lace dress with scalloped trims and three-quarter-length sleeves which she styled with nude pumps and diamond jewels.

As always, there is a sense of effortlessness about this look. She couldn’t look more regal if she tried.

I believe this may be the first time Cate has worn Elie Saab (please correct me if I’m wrong); it was worth the wait, don’t you agree?
