Cate Blanchett graces her fifth cover for American Vogue for the January 2014 issue.

The Australian actress was shot by Craig McDean ready for the new season wearing a printed top and pop-art bracelet from Celine’s Spring 2014 collection, with the rest of her editorial seeing her wearing Armani Prive, Michael Kors, Nina Ricci and Dolce & Gabbana.

She is tipped for another Oscar after a mesmerising performance in ‘Blue Jasmine’ and is starring in George Clooney’s ‘The Monuments Men’.

On the possibility of leaving Hollywood, Cate said “I’m always threatening to give up acting. But then I get seduced back into it.”

She also shares with the mag, “I feel like I’m standing on the brink of something exciting.”

Having been nominated for a Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild Award, and with an Oscar nomination most definitely on the horizon, is the actress predicting a clean sweep?

Cate Blanchett attended ‘For The Love of Cinema – IWC Filmmakers Award’ during day two of the 10th Annual Dubai International Film Festival held at the One and Only Royal Mirage Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on Saturday after blowing us away at the opening ceremony.

On this occasion she opted for a super-simple Givenchy Spring 2014 black strapless jumpsuit featuring a draped detail sweeping down from the neckline to the right leg.

Wearing another watch by the host, she kept this look clean, styling it with a gold Roger Vivier ‘Paint Box’ clutch and black-and-gold twisted earrings.

After dazzling us with the statement necklace on Friday, does this feel too bare or (as always) did she play it right to go in the other direction?

Cate Blanchett In Valentino – 2013 Dubai International Film Festival Opening Night Gala

Cate Blanchett In Valentino - 2013 Dubai International Film Festival Opening Night Gala

Cate Blanchett attended the Opening Night Gala of the 10th Annual Dubai Film Festival held at the Madinat Jumeriah Complex in Dubai, United Arab Emirates this evening.

What a dramatic way to close the week, with the Queen looking outstanding wearing a Valentino Spring 2014 gown.

Her maroon short sleeved cady gown featuring a column skirt and a cape-style bodice with overlay falling down her back, was styled with a breath-taking Hervé Van der Staeten ancient artisan inspired tiered gold necklace.

This is how a statement necklace enhances the look. Someone please show this to the Duchess.

Gold Christian Louboutin ‘Sylvette’ sandals and a rose-gold watch completed her look.

This was originally on my wish list for Sonam Kapoor.

Oscar front-runner and the star of Woody Allen’s acclaimed film ‘Blue Jasmine’, Cate Blanchett, who also appears on the cover of the December issue of Harper’s Bazaar, was named International Actress of the Year at the Harper’s Bazaar Woman Of The Year Awards.

The Australian actress looked stunning at the event, which was held at Claridges in London yesterday evening, wearing a Givenchy Spring 2014 walnut-coloured crepe jersey dress with embroidered cuffs which, I will admit, didn’t have much red-carpet appeal on the runway, but the beauty of Cate is that everything she touches turns to red-carpet gold.

Keeping accessories to a bare minimum, she styled her look with nude Givenchy sandals and a gold necklace which cascaded down the open V-back of her dress.

Cate Blanchett In Armani Privé – 51st New York Film Festival Gala Tribute To Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett In Armani Privé - 51st New York Film Festival Gala Tribute To Cate Blanchett

The New York Film Festival honoured Cate Blanchett with a gala tribute for her significant artistic contributions to film culture, held at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York City yesterday evening.

The Australian actress wore her second nude Armani Prive dress, but this crinoline-lace frock with a plunging neckline was custom-made.

I really love the dress – it’s nice to see Cate do sexy for a change – but I really wish it was in another colour. I know nude was the colour palette of the Fall 2013 collection, but I feel slightly fatigued by it already.

Perhaps the nude shoes are preventing me from totally loving this look.
