Astrid Berges-Frisbey In Chanel Couture – ‘Only God Forgives’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Astrid Berges-Frisbey In Chanel Couture - 'Only God Forgives' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

We haven’t seen many above the knee dresses this Cannes Film Festival, however, Astrid Berges-Frisbey decided to buck the trend whilst attending the ‘Only God Forgives’ premiere at the Palais des Festivals this evening.

The French actress, who pretty much exclusively wears Chanel, wore a look from the brand’s Spring 2013 Couture collection.

Her white off-the-shoulder dress with a black lace overlay was styled with a red Chanel ‘Lego’ clutch, which has been a hit with celebrities since it was presented in the Spring 2013 ready-to-wear collection.

Chanel jewels and a matte red lip completed her look.

Does anyone else think that this would’ve been prettier as a gown?

Astrid Berges-Frisbey In Chanel – ‘Chanel The Little Black Jacket’ Exhibition Launch

Astrid Berges-Frisbey attended the ‘Chanel The Little Black Jacket’ exhibition launch earlier today in Sydney, Australia.

The French actress wore a Chanel Resort 2013 denim dress.

You may remember that Bella Heathcote wore a similar look from this collection and surprised us all by making us love her denim look.

I don’t feel the same about Astrid’s haphazard and, dare I say, lazy styling.

The look is totally unappealing to me, very Alexa Chung with the messy hair.

Even with the red lips and a red Chanel purse she can’t beg me to like this look.

And does she only have one pair of shoes? She seems to live in those Rupert Sanderson shoes.

Astrid Bergès-Frisbey In Chanel Couture – 26th Biennale des Antiquaires Opening Gala Dinner

Astrid Bergès-Frisbey also attended the 26th Biennale des Antiquaires opening gala dinner at the Grand Palais in Paris on Wednesday.

The French actress wore a Chanel Spring 2012 Couture dress.

Her dress, which featured a navy blue sequined top and white taffeta skirt, was styled with a matching bolero.

Simple navy sandals and Chanel Fine Jewelry, including a ‘Camélia’ 18-karat white gold, diamond and sapphire brooch, completed her look.

Astrid Bergès-Frisbey In Chanel – 38th Deauville American Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Astrid Bergès-Frisbey attended the 38th Deauville American Film Festival Opening Ceremony last week.

The multi-faceted actress wore a sea green Chanel dress from the Resort 2013 collection.

It’s a look that’s sure to divide the critics. Some will use words such as toilet brush and jewellery box ballerina, while others will conjure comparisons to modern-day princesses and childhood fantasy characters.

I’m vacillating between the two. I do, however, love the strappy metallic sandals and her soft curls.

Astrid Berges-Frisbey In Chanel Couture – 2011 Cannes Film Festival “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” Photocall

Sorry to say this again, but I find Astrid Berges-Frisbey so incredibly hard to warm to.

She’s wearing Chanel Couture, yet she looks so lifeless.

Her Chanel Spring 2009 Couture ivory dress was worn to the 2011 Cannes Film Festival “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” Photocall this morning.

On this occasion she took ShoeRazzi’s advice as she didn’t opt for black heels with her ivory dress.

Nice, but so very boring.

Celebrity Shoe Swap: Astrid Berges-Frisbey

Astrid Berges-Frisbey was spotted at the “Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” London Premiere wearing black Rupert Sanderson ‘New’ Estelle platform sandals.

I agree with the majority of the readers’ comments from the earlier post that these heels look horrible with her outfit!

Astrid should get a new stylist.

Shoes Astrid Should Have Worn:

Alexandre Birman’s cut-out python sandals are a nice contrast to Astrid’s dress. The taupe leather trim ties the pink accent colours together.

A nude or pastel coloured heel would have worked best and these Versace patent leather sandals are my favourite choice for Astrid. They’re simple, beautiful and a perfect match.

Jimmy Choo’s metallic rose ‘Lance’ sandals are another fabulous option. These sandals feature multiple straps but look delicate on the red carpet as displayed by Jennifer Lawrence.

If Astrid wanted to stick to a Rupert Sanderson shoe, the ‘Seville’ pumps are a lovely pink shoe. These were the first pumps that came to mind when I saw her outfit.

Which shoes would you pick for Astrid?
