Astrid Berges-Frisbey In Chanel - Deauville American Film Festival

Astrid Berges-Frisbey has made several stylish appearances on the red carpet during Deauville American Film Festival in France this week, with all of her looks courtesy of Chanel.
This comes as no surprise as the French beauty has been an ambassador of the brand for quite some time; unlike Keira Knightley, who will wear Valentino here and Simone Rocha there, Astrid stays fiercely committed to Chanel.

‘Before I Go To Sleep’ Premiere: Going for a more laidback, yet still dressy approach, the actress wore a simple white tee with a textured leather skirt, dialling the look down from the runway to make it her own, which worked in her favour. While I will mark her down for mixing her metals and carrying a shoulder bag when a clutch would’ve elevated the chicness of this look, she is always a class act on the red carpet.

‘I Origins’ Photocall: For her second look, she wore a navy and white dress which, despite the cute bow, still had a touch of schoolmarm to it. This was further compounded with the lace-up brogues and 40s updo. You may remember that fellow Chanel ambassador Keira Knightley wore this same dress back in January this year, with a lot more success methinks.

‘The November Man’ Premiere: Yesterday evening the actress dazzled in a Chanel Pre-Fall 2014 ballet-inspired black tulle gown rendered with gold star sequin embroidery throughout. Playing up the romantic mood of the look she teased her hair into a loose braid, accenting a complementary gold heart-shaped headband with Chanel pearls draped around her neck. Of the three looks this has to be my favourite as I’m swept away by the fairytale vibe, although I do find myself wanting to swap her shoes with Look 1.

I know this is an old post, but I thought I’d comment anyway. I absolutely love the way she wears Chanel. She wears it with everyday styling as if she lives in it rather than dressing it up for red carpets. It’s an excellent way to represent the brand because it makes Chanel seem practical. I can imagine myself walking around in the first and second outfits.

And I definitely prefer her styling in the second to Keira’s. She reminds me of Coco Chanel herself in it.

She gives off the vibe of a little girl playing dress-ups. She’s channelling the disheveled, bohemian styling of Vanessa Paradis, but to me she doesn’t have the presence, the gravitas of a Chanel ambassador. Imagine all three looks on someone like Diane Kruger, immensely more impactful I’m sure.

hate the belt from the first look and would have preferred a colouful pump.
the second look is just not my cup of tea.
    love the last look

I like the first and second look, but I’m in love with the third look.

The first look is OK but no to the rest.

    No to all three

I think, the sugary hair and headband with her 3rd look are an overkill. A magic wand is all she is missing.

I’m loving all three looks. Completely different but so so pretty.

“I Origins” photocall look would be my favorite but those shoes ruin the outfit.

I like the first look and the second look minus the shoes. Don’t like the stars on the gown in the third look.

Wow she’s stunning. My fave is the first look, probably b/c it is the least Chanel looking.

ZZZZZZ. Not worthy Chanel ambassador. She always ruins it with the styling.
