Red Carpet Fashion Awards

I love that Angelina Jolie wore a British designer on the red carpet for the “Salt” London Premiere in Leicester Square tonight.

The actress looked beautiful in her Amanda Wakeley Fall 2010 dress and I’m really diggin’ those bangs.

Her long shimmering embellished dress with a silk shoulder strap was worn without the contrasting silk waistband.

I really wish Angelina had worn the waistband to give her dress more shape.

The pink thin waistband she’s used doesn’t make the same impact as it does on the runway.

Although I think she should’ve executed this look much better, I’m grateful that this isn’t a head-to-toe black look.

Nude patent Ferragamo peep-toe pumps complete the look.

The ‘Ladies In Red’ stole our hearts this week.

I guess we were wowed by the dynamic bold colour which isn’t always easy to pull off.

Angelina Jolie was breath-taking in Atelier Versace and Jessica Biel was ravishing in Giambattista Valli.

Both women are usually very ‘blah’ on the red carpet, so their efforts to stand out were very much appreciated.

I’m not officially back from vacation until Sunday, but I’ve really missed blogging – more than I expected – so I’m recharged and ready to get back to it.

Some of you didn’t quite see the big deal in Angelina Jolie’s red Atelier Versace gown at the Moscow Premiere, but considering the rest of her looks have been quite underwhelming since last Sunday have you changed your mind?

For the “Salt” Premiere in Japan her Atelier Versace Fall 2000 black chiffon high neck gown with a thigh-high slit and open back was incredibly sexy.

I loved the bun with the high neckline.

I’ve noticed that when it comes to her black looks Angelina loves to add emerald earrings for a pop of colour.

My major problem with this look was the back, and I’m surprised no one picked up on it.

From the back you can not only see the white label, but you can also see her nude thong.

This would’ve been my favourite look had it not been for that exposure and if she’s worn the purple version.

Gucci heels completed her look.

Angelina wore a black L’Agence long tank dress in to the Seoul press conference of her new movie this week.

The shapeless dress fails to excite despite her adding nude heels.

For the premiere that same day Angelina opted for yet another black frock, this time she wore a strapless Colleen Atwood super fitted dress teamed with Gucci heels.

For the “Salt” Japan press conference Angelina wore a Salvatore Ferragamo black silk blouse with shawl collar and black silk pants.

She broke up the all black look with Ferragamo cream leather peep-toe heels.

She also wore Salvatore Ferragamo nude leather pumps with metal heel for the “Salt” photo call in Moscow. Her ivory blouse and black pencil skirt were both by Dolce & Gabbana.

Loving the red lips here.

The “Salt” London premiere takes place on August 17, I’m hoping she wows on that occasion.

Which look do you favour?

I hate packing. It’s the only thing I hate about traveling. So I took a break and surfed the picture agencies.

I’m SO glad I did because otherwise I would’ve missed Angelina Jolie dropping jaws on the red carpet at the “Salt” Moscow premiere this evening.

Angelina looked A-FRIGGIN-MAZING wearing a stunning red Atelier Versace gown.

The red halter neck silk chiffon gown draped beautifully around her body as her train billows in the wind.

We wanted colour and boy did she give it to us.

I haven’t been particularly harsh on her for wearing black all the time because I sensed a moment like this would happen.

The red is obviously very significant, and if this is all the colour we get this promo tour I’ll be very happy with that.

I think I’m going to have serious withdrawal symptoms on vacation.

Angelina Jolie attended ‘Comic Con’ in San Diego yesterday with her ‘Salt’ co-star Liev Schreiber.

She was dressed head-to-toe in black wearing a fitted black Versace leather jacket, a black Versace pencil skirt and Ferragamo black leather peep toe pumps with black suede patchwork decoration.

It’s a great look for Angelina – albeit very predictable – but I do appreciated the emerald green earrings for that pop of colour I always long for.

The Versace leather jacket is super fitted, almost like a corset. I love how it gives her some curves but wonder how she was able to breathe.

Brangelina mania took hold of LA last night as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt walked the red carpet at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood last night for the premiere of her new movie “Salt”.

Despite Grazia and other ridiculous magazines claiming that the couple are splitting up on a weekly basis, the couple looked very much in love.

Even though she wore her favourite colour – black – she still dazzled wearing a sequined Emporio Armani Spring 2008 strapless mini dress.

I love the subtle draping on the skirt.

She doesn’t appear to be wearing a stitch of make-up, but she did add Ferragamo nude heels and an Asprey bracelet to her look.

Angelina didn’t comply to my red carpet wish to wear colour or a look from Alexander McQueen’s Fall 2010 collection, but this promotional tour isn’t over yet.

Would you consider this a BDOTW contender?
