Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Miranda Lambert ACM MakeupMiranda Lambert was truly the one to watch at the 49th Annual Academy Country Music Awards in Las Vegas.

Her Randi Rahm gown did sparkle, but it was her beautiful skin that really lit up the red carpet. You too can get the Miranda glow by following just a few steps.

The key to glowing skin is to start with healthy skin. Celebrity makeup artist, Karolina Kangas, took care of Miranda’s already gorgeous skin using Dermalogica’s Age Smart line.

The products are a favourite for red carpet skin as they fight off visible signs of aging before they even begin.

The Multivitamin Power Serum was smoothed over Miranda’s skin for a capsulated dose of Vitamins A, C, and E, which together help to firm and smooth the tissues.

Next, Dermalogica Skin Perfect Primer was liberally applied to boost luminosity and radiance.

Following the skin care, Kangas, applied Chanel Cosmetics to further illuminate the skin.

The Lift Lumière Foundation combined with the Concealer Correcteur Perfection create an even canvas and the Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour’s versatility brightens and bronzes skin perfecting Miranda’s red carpet glow.

86th Annual Academy Awards - ArrivalsCamila Alves looked gorgeous on the red carpet wearing Gabriela Cadena to the 2014 Oscars on Sunday.

Celeb makeup artist Patrick de Fontbrune started with Camila’s skin. First, he moisturized her face with vbeaute’s Undercover Agent Anti-Wrinkle Protecting Serum, then patted vbeaute’s Eye Never Anti-Aging Eye Cream around the eye area.

After prepping her base, he then used a tinted moisturizer to even out her complexion, but still giving her more of a sheer coverage. Using Votre Vu Belle Poudre in Golden Medium and Medium, he applied this to her forehead, nose, and eyelids as a primer.

He dusted her lids with Votre Vu’s Palette Play in Copper, specifically choosing a brown beige and gold colors together. He then lined her eyes with a soft, black eyeliner and finished her eye look with coats of mascara.

Her beautifully flushed cheeks were all thanks to Vu-On Rouge in Amourette (available this coming summer). He then contoured her face with bronzer.

Chanel Diane Kruger

Back in April it was announced that Diane Kruger was going to be the face for Chanel’s cosmetics campaign.

The success of the campaign can be seen here with images captured by Peter Lindbergh, seeing the German actress looking very elegant posing against a beach backdrop.

Chanel’s Resynchronizing Collection features the Le Jour de Chanel, La Nuit de Chanel and Le Weekend de Chanel creams, which are all made to re-energize the skin – and who would disagree when Diane looks so refreshed here?

Le Jour De Chanel Morning Reactivating Face Care promises to reactivate and strengthen skin using a combination of jasmine extract and salicylic acid. Your complexion will appear smooth and radiant, and ready to face the day.

La Nuit De Chanel Evening Recharging Face Care is designed to repair and recharge once the sun goes down. Frankincense extract from the resin of the Boswellia serrata tree soothes the skin, while hyaluronic acid provides a plumping effect. Your complexion will appear supple upon awakening, with no signs of dullness.

Le Weekend De Chanel Weekly Renewing Face Care enhances renewal and replenishes hydration to give skin a much-needed weekend break. Combined with relaxing rose water, a gentle glycolic acid complex is gradually released for ideal exfoliation and lasting moisture. Skin is softer and more luminous for the week ahead.

Beyonce Knowles In Helmut Lang - Battery Park

After an epic performance from Beyonce at the ‘Chime For Change: The Sound Of Change Live’ Concert on Saturday in London – where her husband Jay Z joined her on stage, much to the crowd’s delight – the couple were spotted back in New York City on Sunday out on a date, seeing ‘Iron Man 3’ in Battery Park.

Her date-night look was sexy, yet effortless; she chose a white Helmut Lang collarless blazer with black leather inserts in the neckline, to which she added an ivory scoop-neck top and black leather shorts.

Accessories included a pork-pie hat, an Alexander Wang ‘Devere’ bag (we’ve seen her carry once before), shades and green heels.

I don’t know about you, but wearing shorts to an air-conditioned movie theatre just gave me the chills. Sometimes the temperatures in those theatres go below freezing.

Last season, the must-have product in every beauty junkie’s make-up bag was a BB cream – a tinted moisturizer-slash-primer-slash-anti-aging-serum.

So fans of the Beauty Balm will be pleased to learn that another multi-tasking product, aimed at colour correction, has just landed at beauty counters.

CC creams, aka Colour or Complexion Correction creams, are the latest skincare innovation cribbed from Asia and this year Chanel became the first international brand to jump on the bandwagon with their CC cream, Correction Complete SPF30PA+++.

While both products act as a tinted moisturiser and sunscreen in one, CC creams give more full, foundation-like coverage, masking discoloration, pimples, age spots and sallow skin while simultaneously tackling aging and brightening the skin with ingredients such as liquorice, vitamin C and antioxidants.

Makeup artist Kristee Liu, whose rock ’n roll clientele includes Cher, Pink and Alanis, says: ‘It’s a total improvement on the BB cream. CC creams are infused with skin-improving nutrients so they have long-term benefits such as improved skin texture, collagen renewal, diminished dark spots and brighter overall appearance.’
