Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Menswear Roundup

Here is a quick roundup of some gentlemen who took to the red carpet yesterday evening (February 6).

Joel Kinnaman: The actor joined his beautiful girlfriend Olivia Munn on the red carpet for the ‘RoboCop’ Stockholm premiere. After donning black for the London premiere, he delights wearing a rich burgundy-hued Ermenegildo Zegna two-button notched-lapel suit, keeping it tonal with a darker shirt and even darker tie. The look was styled once again with his Kurt Geiger London ‘Hornton’ shoes. Of the two looks, I much prefer this one, not only for the colour, but also this look feels a lot sharper.

Edward Norton: Also wearing Ermenegildo Zegna, the actor kept it classic in a navy two-button shawl-collar suit while attending ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ Berlinale premiere alongside Tilda Swinton, Lea Seydoux and Saoirse Ronan. As great as he looks, my eyes immediately go to his wife Shauna Robertson’s dramatic ombre strapless gown. He wore double monk shoes by Ermenegildo Zegna Couture.

David Beckham in Burberry Tailoring - Major League SoccerDavid Beckham was on his best dapper behaviour at a Major League Soccer Franchise press conference, held in Miami, Florida on Wednesday (February 5), where he announced the launch of an MLS soccer team in the city.

The footballer-cum-underwear model was impeccably attired in a Burberry Tailoring slate-coloured suit, worn with a perfectly crisp, white button-down shirt and navy tie.

No bells and whistles here. Just a good suit, a touch of sexy scruff, and the slight peek of those edgy sleeve tattoos is really all that’s needed for the ultimate in handsome appeal—at least when it comes to Becks.

‘RoboCop’ World Premiere Menswear Roundup

We’ve seen Abbie Cornish and Olivia Munn on the red carpet for the ‘RoboCop’ premiere held in London on Wednesday (February 5); here we have two men in very different looks.

Joel Kinnaman: The star of the movie was decked out in Gucci, wearing a black suit with a white dress shirt, pocket square, black tie and Kurt Geiger London ‘Hornton’ shoes.

Wretch 32: Opting for style and warmth, the British rapper was decked out in an qUmi London look featuring a dark-brown velvet blazer, a chestnut turtleneck, and cream pants which stopped way too short for a mid-winter look. Brown loafers and an expensive-looking timepiece completed his look.

Which look do you prefer? Classic or contemporary?

29th Santa Barbara International Film Festival Menswear Roundup

Michael B. Jordan and Jared Leto joined Brie Larson at the 29th Santa Barbara International Film Festival, where they were honoured with the Virtuosos Award at an event held at the Arlington Theatre on Tuesday (February 4) in Santa Barbara, California.

Michael B. Jordan: Embracing a more colourful stance when it comes to red carpet dressing, the actor donned a vivid-blue Vivienne Westwood Man suit styled with a brown shirt, black tie, black Christian Louboutin flats and his Piaget timepiece. The brown shirt took a while to grow on me, but overall this is yet another standout look from the dapper actor, who continues to keep menswear varied and interesting; however, I have a feeling it might not be all too well received by some.

Jared Leto: The actor couldn’t be more opposite, wearing a laidback all-black look consisting of leather pants, a black overcoat, black shirt and Zadig & Voltaire ‘Joe’ boots.

Do you prefer Michael’s spritely approach, or Jared’s cool all-black chilled look?

Bradley Cooper In Vivienne Westwood Man - 'American Hustle' Paris Premiere

Bradley Cooper was flying solo to promote his latest movie ‘American Hustle’, translated to ‘American Bluff’ for the Paris premiere, held at Cinema UGC Normandie on Monday (February 3) in Paris, France.

Continuing to showcase his impressive collection of outerwear, the actor wore a Vivienne Westwood Man burgundy double-breasted coat from the recent Fall 2014 collection, which featured contrast black ponyskin lapels.

This luxe coat was worn over his navy Todd Snyder suit, and you will be happy to see that Bradley is smartening up his footwear from the Red Wing boots he wore to the New York premiere; he selected brown lace-ups on this occasion.
