Tinie Tempah and Idris Elba - Prince's Trust Celebrate Success Awards

Tinie Tempah and Idris Elba attended the Prince’s Trust Celebrate Success Awards held at Odeon Leicester Square in London yesterday evening sporting ‘you da man’, ‘no, you da man’ poses on the red carpet.

Tinie Tempah: Tinie by name and by pant length. The rapper, who’s always front row during fashion week, opted to wear a charcoal-grey Dolce & Gabbana blazer with black ankle-swing pants. Cropped pants are very much part of his signature look, as are his black loafers. A crisp white shirt, a quirky polka-dotted bow tie and a red Prince’s Trust pin completed his look.

Idris Elba: The actor opted for a more classic look, donning a dark-grey Armani suit with a white dress shirt. The tie stops a bit short but I can’t fault how handsome he looks in his suit, which he paired with dark-green shoes and a red pin.

Who Wore Supreme Better Rihanna or Mark Ronson

Rihanna is no stranger to wearing menswear.

The singer was spotted making her way through security at Schönefeld Airport in Berlin, Germany back in November wearing a men’s Supreme leather down jacket in green, black and red, which she styled with a Mechanical ‘Dummy’ crewneck sweater, black leggings and Air Jordan Olympic Retro 7s.

Mark Ronson was spotted wearing the same Supreme jacket this afternoon while attending the Prince’s Trust Celebrate Success Awards held at the Odeon Leicester Square in London.

He wore the look over a bi-colour suit, which features a green blazer, black shirt and black slacks. Lace-up shoes completed this look.

Yes, it’s very cold in London, but Mark could’ve gone sans jacket for the red carpet. Rihanna wins for me as her urban look works better with the jacket.

Empire Awards Mens 1

The 2013 Jameson Empire Awards were held at Grosvenor House on Sunday in London. Many of the men teetered on the line between formal and casual in classic black and grey suits, while a select few chose to be a bit flashier with checked suits.

Jonathan Ross: The TV presenter known for his sharp suits kept things fairly casual on this occasion. He wore black jeans and a black shirt with a grey Thom Browne whale-patterned blazer.

Daniel Radcliffe: The young British actor didn’t just win the Empire Hero Award, but he did it looking incredibly smooth. Daniel showed at the Independent Spirit Awards that he knows exactly how his suit should fit, and this was another perfect example. He wore a Spencer Hart black suit with skinny lapels over a white shirt. My favourite part of it, besides the impeccable fit, was that he made it more casual by adding a black knit tie, as opposed to a more formal silk one.

Tom Hiddleston: Changing it up with patterns, Tom opted for an Emporio Armani blue check ‘David’ line suit and a pale-blue shirt. The blue colours of the suit, shirt and tie made for a great look on Tom, but I wish his pants were just a bit shorter.

Sam Claflin: For a head-turning look, Sam wore an Alexander McQueen charcoal-grey checked suit from the Spring 2013 collection. Everything fit well and the suit had a good pattern. He also accessorized with a white pocket square, a red tie, and a tie bar. My favourite part of his outfit, though, was those black leather double-monk-strap shoes.

‘David Bowie Is’ Exhibition Private Viewing Red Carpet Round Up Menswear

The Victoria & Albert Museum, in partnership with Gucci and Sennheiser, attracted various celebrities with its ‘David Bowie Is’ exhibition on Wednesday. We’ve seen the ladies, including the fabulous Tilda Swinton, so now here is a look at all the handsome guys who attended the event.

Douglas Booth: The English actor arrived in a Gucci Heritage navy peak-lapel suit. He paired the suit with a classic white dress shirt. The suit looked fantastic and fit perfectly. Douglas’ shoes were a little wilder: he sported studded black leather horsebit loafers. The choice of shoes may not be favoured with such a classic suit, but since it was an exhibition devoted to David Bowie, it seems appropriate.

Tara Ferry: In the brightest suit of the four, Tara donned a Gucci Spring 2013 sapphire-dyed three-piece suit. His twill suit also featured a printed lining and buttons of different colours. He matched his suit with a white shirt with metal details, a blue polka-dot silk tie, and a white leather belt.

The most noticeable part of this outfit is those shoes: he coordinated his shoes with his buttons. Tara is wearing one black leather horsebit loafer and one white loafer. That is just too much for me. He should have stuck with the white ones – they are more David Bowie-esqe.

Mr. Hudson: The English singer sported an eye-catching Gucci ink jersey double-breasted suit from the Spring 2013 collection. It’s very similar (colourwise) to the suit worn by Ko Chen-Tung in Beijing. Mr. Hudson styled his suit with a black crewneck T-shirt and black leather brogue lace-up shoes. His suit fit just the way it should and he styled it well.

Nick Grimshaw: Not only did Nick show off his pink hair colour, he wore an awesome Gucci Spring light-blue double-breasted suit. It’s definitely a suit I could see David Bowie wearing. Under the well-tailored suit, Nick opted to follow the spring floral trend with a Resort 2013 cotton shirt. He finished it all off with a pair of Converse shoes. This was my favourite look because it screams “David Bowie”, but I wish he had fastened the top button of his jacket.

The ‘David Bowie Is’ exhibition runs from 23 March – 11 August 2013 at the Victoria & Albert Museum. Go to www.vam.ac.uk for more info.

Cory Michael Smith In Balenciaga - ‘Breakfast At Tiffany’s’ Broadway Opening Night

Cory Michael Smith joined Emilia Clarke on the red carpet yesterday evening for the after-party to celebrate the ‘Breakfast At Tiffany’s’ Broadway opening night, held at The Edison Ballroom in New York City.

Oozing charm and good looks, it’s hard not to find yourself swooning over the actor in his Balenciaga suit.

We have questioned the fit and length of pants on many more-established Hollywood actors, but Cory’s suit fits to perfection. The only other actor that gets it this right is Eddie Redmayne.

His Spring 2013 two-button suit was styled with a white dress shirt and slim tie.

With that perfectly coiffed quiff and chiselled good looks, Eddie might just have someone who can contend for his best-dressed-male status.

Menswear Round Up

Harrison Ford: In celebration of being the cover star of the latest issue of Michigan Avenue Magazine, Harrison was in attendance for a party at Chicago Cut Steakhouse on Monday. Looking as good as ever, he donned a well-tailored navy suit with wide notch lapels. His outfit included a pale-blue shirt and a printed navy tie.

James McAvoy: For the London premiere of the film ‘Trance’, James was in attendance on the carpet sporting a thickening red beard. Besides the facial hair, James wore a Prada navy silk suit. The notch-lapel suit seemed to fit him well. He matched it with a sky-blue poplin-stretch shirt.

David Beckham: The British football superstar attended a press conference held at the Shijia Hutong Primary School in Beijing, China today, where he was unveiled at the special ambassador for Chinese football. Always looking dapper when it comes to formal wear, David wore a charcoal-grey notch-lapel suit. He paired it with a white pinstripe shirt, a light-grey tie, and a pair of black lace-ups. The superstar looked even more handsome while having a kick-about with the kids, only removing his jacket while he showcased his skills on the playground.
