Vulture Festival Los Angeles Red Carpet Roundup

The Vulture Festival Los Angeles on Saturday (November 18) in Hollywood, California saw a few other stars in its midst along with Kerry Washington.

Bellamy Young: The ‘Scandal’ actress wore a charmingly ladylike Temperley London Resort 2018 printed dress with Marskinryyppy sandals. The off-the-shoulder silhouette and flared skirt were the sweet details that contributed just the right flair to the look.

Common: I like how Common wore the punchy paint splatters of his 3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2018 jacket with more neutral, solid-hued shirting and trousers courtesy of J Brand. That, combined with his bold shoes, kept the look different enough from the same jacket we just saw on Caleb McLaughlin.

Issa Rae: Showing how great she looks in stripes, the actress let this bold Christopher Kane Resort 2018 carwash-panel dress take top billing by minimizing her accessories to a simple pair of Saint Laurent sandals.

Variety’s 1st Annual Hitmakers Luncheon Red Carpet Roundup

In addition to Hailee Steinfeld, a few other stars were at Variety’s 1st Annual Hitmakers Luncheon on Saturday (November 18) in LA.

Kat Graham: Ever so coordinated to the day’s signage, Kat donned a John Galliano Spring 2018 suit. But, what I loved even more was the cool, preppy edge she brought to the tailoring with Gucci ‘Brixton’ horsebit loafers and a matching, cream hat. It was so relevant and effortless.

Machine Gun Kelly: I’m really intrigued by what the entertainer is bringing to the scene. With this OAMC parka jacket, cropped plaid pants, and Reebok classic sneakers, he’s colouring outside the lines of unconventional style, yet without an overly zany sense of try-hard. I would have just skipped the bathrobe sash.

Sabrina Carpenter: Even those this sheer No. 21 Spring 2018 dress had an element of sportiness in the hoodie detail, I found the belt and black Casadei boots to be too harsh of contrast for its more ethereal quality. The same goes for the makeup look.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

There were so many great menswear looks to take the red-carpet stage over the weekend.

Caleb McLaughlin: At the ripe age of 16, this ‘Stranger Things’ star is showing his incredible flair for style in this 3.1 Phillip Lim paint-splattered ensemble at the 2017 American Music Awards on Sunday (November 19) in LA. I love how he fully committed to the look, right down to the shoes—and that this is both youthful and fashion-forward at the same time.

Harry Styles: At the 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Monday (November 20) in Shanghai, China, Harry did what he does best combining retro and modern style influences in this Givenchy Spring 2018 mint suit and matching silk shirt paired with Givenchy boots.

Machine Gun Kelly: This Comme des Garçons ensemble took the abstract, paint-splattered effect to even greater lengths at the American Music Awards. But, despite the exaggerated elements, the effect came off as directionally cool rather than comical.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

From awards galas to premieres and more, there were plenty of occasions for the men to be out in force on the red carpet. Here’s a look at the men who have been front and centre.

Justin Timberlake: Proving that the velvet trend isn’t just for the ladies, Justin cut a thoroughly suave profile in this dark-green velvet Tom Ford tuxedo at the 9th Annual Governors Awards on Saturday (November 11) in Hollywood. I love this luxe twist on the classic tux.

Jason Momoa: Although his styling may have been more in the manner of edgy-bohemian, Jason’s custom Valentino tuxedo was quite smooth and polished at the ‘Justice League’ LA premiere on Monday (November 13).

Jared Leto: It’s Jared Leto and it’s an MTV event, so it’s only natural that he would go sartorially wild at the 2017 MTV EMAs on Sunday (November 12) in London with his latest Gucci endeavor—a Fall 2017 look that was even more subversively rebellious than the runway presentation. The colour discord between the lavender, bubblegum, and red track pants made me want to shield my eyes—and we haven’t even gotten to the tidy-whitey sneakers.

SAG-AFTRA Foundation Patron of the Artists Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The red carpet was alight with stylish stars at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Patron of the Artists Awards on Thursday (November 9) in Beverly Hills, California.

Kristen Bell: It may be autumn, but the actress kept the spring spirit alive in a Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2017 dress. The yellow and blue blooms had an ebullient mood which was enhanced with Jennifer Meyer jewels and white heels.

Andrew Garfield: Cutting a dapper figure, the ‘Breathe’ actor broke away from coordinates, pairing a brown and navy check jacket with slim navy trousers. A dark blue sweater completed the ensemble, presenting a modern alternative to a suit and tie.

Tracee Ellis Ross: The ‘Black-ish’ actress’s love of fashion is apparent in many of her outfits, including this vintage Pierre Balmain dress from Shrimpton Couture. She committed to the glamorous retro theme with red Christian Louboutin pumps and a Les Petits Joueurs bag.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

A trio of men caught our eye in recent days, as they made the rounds.

Niall Horan: Joining all the ladies at the 2017 CMA Awards on Wednesday (November 8) in Nashville, Tennessee, Niall was on the red carpet before taking to the stage to perform with Maren Morris. His Advani London ensemble may have featured a decorative, metallic motif, but he made sure it wasn’t too contrived with his casually unbuttoned white shirt underneath.

Channing Tatum: At the ‘War Dog: A Soldier’s Best Friend’ premiere in LA on Monday (November 6), the actor suited up in a Burberry ensemble with a paisley tie. Tod’s loafers rounded out the polished look.

Tim McGraw: Also at the 2017 CMA Awards, Tim celebrated designer Tom Ford’s Texas roots by putting the western treatment on this ensemble. I love how sharp this luxe velveteen jacket looks in partnership with the perfectly tailored tuxedo trousers and his signature cowboy hat.
