Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

In our final menswear roundup of the week, we have three handsome gentlemen taking a spin on the red carpet.

Channing Tatum: Joining his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum, the actor scrubbed up well in a Burberry suit for his ‘Comrade Detective’ LA premiere. As always, his stuffy tie choice takes some of the gloss off this look.

Joseph Gordon Levitt: The actor joined Channing on the red carpet, taking all the formality out of his checked suit going sans tie. Whenever I see a tie-less look, I have to remind myself that Dane DeHaan didn’t start the trend, but he does exclusive present it on the red carpet.

Armie Hammer: The actor joined a host of stars at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Grants Banquet wearing a steal-blue Burberry suit which were no match for his piercing blue eyes.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

The femmes have been joined by the fellows at a variety of red-carpet occasions this past week.

Dylan Minnette: Alongside the ladies at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Grants Banquet on Wednesday (August 2), Dylan impressed in an Ermenegildo Zegna aubergine suit styled with a patterned paisley shirt. His patent shoes ensured a trendy, youthful finish.

Idris Elba: After his last style-forward outing, ‘The Dark Tower’ actor took a more basic turn in a Burberry polo shirt and slacks for an appearance on ‘Despierta America’ on Wednesday (August 2) in Miami. The slightly mismatched navy hues between the shirt and pants had me colour-correcting this ensemble in my head.

Jeremy Renner: Jeremy continued in fine form when he joined Elizabeth Olsen for the ‘Wind River’ screening in New York. This navy suit was all about sharp, precise formality and polish.

James Van Der Beek In Strong Suit – Watch What Happens Live!

James Van Der Beek and his wife Kimberly Brook looked smitten after his ‘Watch What Happens Live’ interview in New York City on Tuesday (August 1).

After a summer of “playing it safe” by the fellas, I was delighted to see James opt for this light-weight suit from Strong Suit.

Not only for the bold red hue, but for going one step further with the floral shirt and accessories.

It may be too far left for some, but my only issue here is the pornstache.

Kimberly’s delightful summer frock was firmly in safe aisle, however, I love how she matched her velvet pumps to her flame-coloured hair.

‘The Dark Tower’ New York Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

Camila Alves wasn’t the only one at the New York premiere of ‘The Dark Tower’ on Monday (July 31).

Matthew McConaughey: Packing plenty of colourful attitude, Matthew embraced the glories of an aubergine suit styled with a navy tie and mahogany dress shoes. I just wish the tailoring had been a bit more precises, especially around the sleeves, as the look held so much potential.

Idris Elba: I’m not sure the cropped, racing-stripe khakis would have been my go-to pick for this Gucci ensemble that likewise featured an embellished, military-style jacket and matching loafers. But, they did contribute a certain sartorial playfulness. You have to love his willingness to step outside the style box.

Katheryn Winnick: Romance was alive and well in this Marchesa Resort 2018 floral gown that I loved for its darkly vibrant femininity, further elevated by Katheryn’s sleekly complementary styling.

Matt Bomer In Ermenegildo Zegna Couture – ‘The Last Tycoon’ LA Premiere

Matt Bomer joined co-star Lily Collins for ‘The Last Tycoon’ premiere on Thursday (July 27) in Hollywood, California.

The handsome actor wore an Ermenegildo Zegna Couture three-piece suit which had a slim, sleek fit which still felt light enough for the warm season.

Screened in plaid to maintain an elegant demeanor, the expertly tailored suit creates a very sharp impression – which is what we’ve come to expect from any Matt Bomer look.

The actor currently features in Mr Porter’s Journal this week.
