Red Carpet Fashion Awards

I couldn’t think of a more perfect way to spend the morning than viewing pictures from David Beckham’s new campaign, set in an old-style sports changing room and full of old East London atmosphere, for his Bodywear for H&M Autumn 2013 collection.

The collection includes raglan-sleeve jerseys and henleys in athletic greys, alongside grey vests, a three-pack of grey trunks plus loungewear and nightwear pyjamas.

This Bodywear collection goes on sale tomorrow in the men’s departments of H&M stores and online.

Michelle Williams was captured by Peter Lindbergh for Louis Vuitton’s latest campaign highlighting their new bags – the ‘W’ and the ‘Capucines’ – wearing a look from the fashion house’s Fall 2013 collection.

The pretty blonde actress was given a dramatic makeover by hairstylist Sam McKnight and makeup artist Stéphane Marais, who gave her pixie crop a spiky twist and brought out her delicate features with dark eyes and a bold blood-red lip colour.

Michelle is no stranger to wearing Louis Vuitton on the red carpet; the red strapless LV gown she wore to the 2012 Oscars is the most notable.

Look out for this campaign, which is due to break in September.

Rita Ora for Material Girl Fall 2013

Madonna and daughter Lola unveiled their Material Girl Fall 2013 ad campaign featuring Rita Ora.

For the back-to-school season, Rita takes to the streets of London, starring in her debut fashion campaign, ‘Material Girl Hits London.’

Clad in Material Girl apparel, footwear and accessories, Rita was photographed at iconic London locales such as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, the London Eye and atop a double decker bus.

The collection will be available exclusively at Macy’s and macys.com in the United States.

I don’t know about you, but I feel like this campaign should’ve gone to someone much younger.

I love the spirit and energy of the campaign, but not the casting.

L'Oreal 'Collection Privee by Color Riche' Ad Campaign

Actresses Freida Pinto, Julianne Moore, Jane Fonda, Fan Bingbing and Eva Longoria pose with models Liya Kebede, Inès de La Fressange and Doutzen Kroes for L’Oreal’s ‘Collection Privee by Color Riche’ campaign.

Captured by Norman Jean Roy, this must have been taken during Cannes Film Festival when all the ladies were providing the eye candy on the carpet while fulfilling their ambassadorial roles.

Sadly Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are not featured in this ad.

The women all wore black dresses, or black blouses and skirts for the shoot.

While it’s hard to identify most, the one which stands out is Fan Bingbing in her Ulyana Sergeenko Couture gown thanks to the distinctive neckline.

Update: Doutzen is wearing a Gucci Spring 2006 gown.

Rooney Mara Downtown Calvin Klein

Having sat front row at Calvin Klein shows and taken to the red carpet in the brands minimalist threads, I am not surprised that Rooney Mara is the face of Calvin Klein’s new fragrance, ‘Downtown’.

The ‘Downtown’ Calvin Klein fragrance balances feminine woods with soft floral notes that make it confident and modern with a unique signature and an unexpected edge. Sounds very much like Rooney herself.

Jean-Baptiste Mondino shot the print campaign; plus there is a moody film directed by David Fincher, who is known for his dark and stylish thrillers, including ‘Alien 3′, ‘Seven’, ‘The Game’ and ‘Fight Club’ to name a few.

Rooney told WWD: “It’s an honour to be part of a brand with such a legacy of breakthrough advertising. The Downtown fragrance holds true to the chic, confident and simple feeling of the Calvin brand. The effortless and timeless appeal of the Calvin Klein Collection and the Downtown scent made this a natural partnership.”
