Wow it’s one of the greatest poll cause everyone looks amazing.

For ladies, Naomi Watts is my favorite, and I also like Jennifer Lawrence, Charlize Theron and Stana Katic.
For the guys, Daniel Day-Lewis and Hugh Jackman.

No Jennifer Lawrence in Calvin Klein ?? I thought most of us preferred her in CK.

    • noo March 2, 2013 at 22:49 #

      she was my personal bdotw!

    • Tina March 3, 2013 at 01:00 #

SAME HERE!!! I loveeeeed that dress. Really sad it’s not on the poll. :’(

    • Quinn March 3, 2013 at 03:13 #

that’s weird. didn’t she won the poll for the oscar parties?? didn’t realize that diane was winning when i voted. hmm..

nway, i’m voting for JLawrence! i thought the gown look so beautiful when i was watching the oscar on tv.

    • bb March 4, 2013 at 02:27 #

That’s my BDOTW too. She’s so perfect in that Calvin Klein.

      • dee March 6, 2013 at 13:19 #

She definitely was perfect. A million times better than that awful ballgown.

  5. Noemi March 2, 2013 at 10:19 #

It was hard to choose the women’s winner, but I voted for Naomi Watts, she looked stunning at the Oscars. I also like Nina Dobrev.
When it comes to men, it’s much easier, when Eddie Redmayne is on the list, I go for him!

    • zineb March 2, 2013 at 17:33 #

Same for Eddie! I Reached a point where I don’t bother looking at the rest of the guys, I just blindly click on Eddie haha not objective I know but who cares ?! But I objectively vote for the ladies!

  6. Alex March 2, 2013 at 11:36 #

    Naomi in Armani Prive
    Daniel in Domenico Vacca

    An outstanding week!

Thank you, Catherine, and the RC team for the brilliant coverage of all the awards and runway shows.

    xo

    From the ladies poll…

One and two in no particular order because I love both looks so much, Jennifer Lawrence and Naomi Watts. Ditto for my three and four, Charlize Theron and Amy Adams.

At number five I would put any of the Wizard of Oz girls, including Rachel Weisz, in any of their looks. Although perhaps I did love Michelle Williams in Burberry Prorsum a little more than the dress selected here.

The rest of the contenders look good, but I could think of ten other women who in my opinion where better dressed than these, so not fussed about them… I would even repeat Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams for their Oscar party frocks!

    From the mens…

My vote goes to Daniel Day-Lewis. Runner ups in no particular order and equal measures, Eddie Redmayne and Hugh Jackman.

  8. towanda March 2, 2013 at 11:57 #

my tops are Naomi Watts and Daniel Day-Lewis

  9. zineb March 2, 2013 at 13:22 #

It’s official ! This website’s readers are obssessed with Eddie Redmayne :D

  10. Denise March 2, 2013 at 14:17 #

For the men poll I don’t know why we even bother to vote because Eddie seems to win no matter what he wears… Hugh Jackman was the best dressed for me.

    • Moxie March 3, 2013 at 12:59 #

Channing Tatum for me, but I know what you mean about Eddie. The man could wear a potato sack and still win the poll.

As for the ladies, Nina and Naomi were my favorites.

  11. SilentVisitor March 2, 2013 at 14:38 #

Ladies: Zoe Saldana in Alexis Mabille Couture
Men : Daniel Day-Lewis in Domenico Vacca

  12. asherlev1 March 2, 2013 at 14:46 #

I can’t believe JLaw’s Vanity Fair dress isn’t here. I’m weeping silently right now in mourning.

  13. Nat March 2, 2013 at 14:54 #

I voted JLaw’s In Dior because, even if I actually liked other looks better (Naomi Watts, even Jennifer’s vanity fair look), the Dior gown will BY FAR remain the most iconic look of the night. Expecially with all those pics of her and the dress both looking really beautiful when she fell up the stairs.
It was her night and she nailed it (not only fashionwise).
So sad, by the way, that the same thing can’t be’ said about Anne H.

For the men, I’m the biggest fan of Eddie, but here I voted DDL. love the navy tux.

  14. Rita March 2, 2013 at 16:26 #

I have so many I loved!! Jennifer Lawrence, Charlize Theron, Amy Adams and Michelle Williams were my favorite ladies

Daniel Day-lewis is perfect, he’s my best dressed man

  15. Marybeth March 2, 2013 at 18:01 #

I have to vote for Jennifer Lawrence. Like many here, I am skeptical of her collaboration with Dior. I was not confident that they would come up with a winning Oscar look — but they did.

Nina Dobrev in Naeem Khan and Mila Kunis in Versace are my runners-up. I like Michelle, Amy, and Charlize too, though not quite as much.

Among the men in classic formal wear, I like Channing Tatum best, followed by Hugh Jackman and Daniel Day Lewis. My favorite more casual look is Common’s. Handsome!

  16. Nat39 March 2, 2013 at 18:17 #

Jennifer Lawrence wasn’t my favourite (she was still in my top 3 though) but without a doubt, it was Jennifer’s grand moment at the event, her look stood out and made the kind of bigger impact you expect to see at the Oscars. Her after party look was great too but I’m glad that she went with something more memorable for the main event.
Zoe Saldana and Charlize Theron – 2nd/3rd

    Men: Eddie, Channing and Hugh.

    • Nat39 March 2, 2013 at 18:51 #

Diane Kruger sticks out like a sore thumb, a really awful look for her, I’m baffled she made it this far with only 3% of votes in the preliminary poll.
Chris Hemsworth was on the last week’s poll with this look (which I liked).

  17. Michel March 2, 2013 at 18:25 #

Where is Jessica Chastain? She was sexy and timeless in Armani Privé, she should be there instead of Mila or Michelle…

    • Sammy C March 2, 2013 at 18:53 #

      + 1

      • Jai March 2, 2013 at 19:56 #

Yeah, she looked perfectly classy. Will never understand the appeal of Amy Adam’s drab princess dress.

    • Nat39 March 2, 2013 at 21:42 #

I’m also upset about Jessica. It was Old Hollywood glamour at its best, she was easily the most gorgeous of them all, that photo didn’t show how superb that Armani Prive creation actually was, forget bright hues, green or blue, etc…it was that bronze undertone that worked with Jessica’s compexion and hair colour in a very subtle way to a mesmerizingly stunning effect, not to mention the impeccable fit and that divine hair and makeup. It was a timeless classic.
She didn’t get enough votes to move on unfortunately, I understand, but Amy and Zoe are the lucky ones here, they got free passes.

      • Mol March 2, 2013 at 21:55 #

I feel your pain – I couldn’t bring myself to vote for any of the women, even though there were some I liked, but Jessica was the singular one that captivated me at the Oscars!

        • CreoleLady March 2, 2013 at 22:24 #

Commiserating with you and Nat39. Jessica Chastain’s figure in that dress was perfection, even more so than in the electric blue Mouret (which I also loved). The incredible and unusual copper color enhanced by that divine silken web — well, I’m still knocked out. I ended up voting for Naomi Watts as her figure also has never looked better and that color, her eyes, wow. Armani — I bowed down to the Italian maestro on Oscar night.

          • L March 2, 2013 at 23:55 #

I couldn’t agree more i just don’t understand what the appeal is with the giant ball-gowns, they just become to much. Jessica looked sexy, beautiful, and classic without bring over the top.

            • dee March 6, 2013 at 13:17 #

I completely agree with all of you. That Dior gown that Jennifer wore was not that great to me. Jessica looked stunning. One of her best looks.

      • Michel March 2, 2013 at 22:33 #

I know, I mean you can’t compare that natural beauty, poise and elegance, she was just perfection… I’m bewildered just by the fact that she isn’t the best dressed of the academy red carpet and week. She was simple, stunning, timeless, classic & sexy. In my opinion, her only competitor was Naomi.

How can someone compete with this effortless beauty? She just leaves me breathless…

    • rebecca o March 3, 2013 at 02:24 #

+1. Jessica was the only true glamour puss on the Oscars red carpet. The best she’s ever looked.

      • Michel March 3, 2013 at 02:48 #

  18. Amber March 2, 2013 at 19:47 #

Cameron Silver! This Man is a Fashion Genius. Take Note..

  19. Kate March 2, 2013 at 20:34 #

Voted for Naomi Watts she was my #2 of the Oscars after Lily Collins (sadly not nominated here)

For the men went for Daniel Day-Lewis. Looking very dapper and nice break from the mostly black suits of the Oscars. (Also getting really bored of Eddie Redmayne victories!)

    • asherlev1 March 2, 2013 at 20:54 #

Lily Collins was my #2 after JLaw in Calvin Klein!

  20. Molly March 2, 2013 at 21:11 #

Charlize did it for me. Jennifer looked beautiful too, but I really wanted to pull her dress up or at the very least, get her a better bra.
Whats going to happen the rest of the year when Eddie is no longer a red carpet regular? The mens pole will be quite a challenge, I suppose.

  21. Jessica March 2, 2013 at 22:41 #

My best dressed was definitely Jennifer Lawrence in Calvin Klein but from this list I chose Mila Kunis! As for the men I voted for Christos Garkinos in Paul Smith because I love the red and that it was so different! Thanks for the hard work this week :)

  22. justme March 2, 2013 at 23:14 #

    Charlize & Channing for me.

I’m surprised Jennifer is leading, especially in that Dior number. I feel like people are voting for her, not for her dress -_-

And it’s official. Eddie Redmayne could show up on a red carpet wearing plaid overalls and you guys would eat it up lmao. What is going on?

    • asherlev1 March 3, 2013 at 01:16 #

Seriously. I love JLaw as much as the next person, but in that Dior?! Now the CK look would have been a different story. I might have been giving her the edge over Lily Collins cos it was her night, but she really did look fantastic in that silver number.

And Eddie….I don’t get it either. *commiserates*

  23. Ann March 3, 2013 at 09:55 #

Charlize Theron in Dior Couture is the best of an ordinary bunch this week

  24. towanda March 3, 2013 at 11:20 #

so amy adams and zoe saldana can’t make best dressed of oscar list but can make best dressed of week list.

  25. Anne March 3, 2013 at 18:40 #

    My personal list:
    1) Jessica Chastain
    2) Naomi Watts
    3) Lily Collins
    4) Jennifer Lawrence (Calvin Klein)
    5) Zoe Saldana
Honorable mention for a great overall week: Michelle Williams

  26. EmmaWoodhouse March 3, 2013 at 21:17 #

From this list, Amy, Zoe, Jennifer (in Dior), Fan, Nina and Michelle are my favorites.
Eddie and Hugh win the men’s!

  27. Neli March 3, 2013 at 23:03 #

Naomi Watts in Armani Privé! Amazing!

  28. EmmaWoodhouse March 3, 2013 at 23:59 #

Hey, just noticed that Chris Hemsworth’s look was on last week’s poll as well.

  29. Agathe March 4, 2013 at 13:35 #

I’m disappointed at the results for men. People keep voting for Eddie Redmayne although this week was amazing in men’s fashion!
My vote went to Cameron Silver and Matthew McConaughey.

  30. Dan Oliver March 4, 2013 at 14:40 #

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior and Charlize would be 2nd
For the guys I have to go with Channing
