Pretty in pink was Leslie Mann at the 2013 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, hosted last night at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
The actress was definitely seeing the world through rose-coloured glasses, as she embraced all sweet shades of bubblegum and cotton candy with her Honor Spring 2013 confection, plucked like a piece of taffy from the runway.
A sheer, long-sleeve lace top melted into a high-waisted, knee-length matte bubble skirt, and a Tiffany ‘Morgan’ clutch matched it all perfectly in pink.
Her fuchsia Jimmy Choo ‘Fitch’ ankle-strap heels weren’t the best for this look, but they were better than those shown on the runway: flat white sandals would have not worked for the red carpet. An edgier shoe in a fun, contrasting shade of cobalt would have been interesting.
A raspberry lip, natch, topped off his look that proved even redheads like Leslie can go pink.

I am in awe of what Leslie (or her stylist) did here with this dress. This could have easily (easily) looked outdated and unflattering – but with her styling, beautiful lip color, shoes that added another dimension to the whole lot of pink we see, and her hair style make this look not only doable but really striking too. In fact, it makes you want to look at it further wondering how, with such ease, they managed to pull this look off with such panache.
Sweet, but I wish her hair was more polished.
Mt thoughts exactly.
*My
I love Leslie’s style, but this is too cutesy for me. I think this dress would look better on a teenage actress. Also I’m missing the belt and she should have worn her hair up.
Agreed. The color is great, but that skirt is downright unflattering. I also think the shoes are a little matchy matchy combined with the lipstick (which I love). I’d like to see something like this on Elle Fanning (as opposed to her fancy burlap sack/clodhopper combo).
Love this. Leslie does it again.
+1 J’adore!
Girl, you’re 40!
I don’t think Leslie has the personality to carry that shade of pink which has nothing to do with her age. It’s just such an outgoing color while Leslie is more calm and mysterious.
For me, Leslie Mann can do no (or very little) wrong. This may not be my favorite from her, but it’s always effortless. She continues to wow me with her bold color choices and always delightful accessories

I like it but I am not wowed. Not in my BDOTW list.
This dress does nothing for me, but I am loving this pink (which is a total surprise)!
I love Leslie Mann’s style, usually, but this is a toothache of sweetness. The dress is too young for her and not particularly flattering. Her hair could have used a bit of smoothing, too. I do love the shoes though!
She is a gorgeous woman, and the colour is great on her. But I don’t really think the bubble skirt flatters anyone.
This is just awful. Her hair is a mess, and the skirt waist is too high AND ill fitted.
Horrible. The dress doesn’t suit her, and the styling is awful, the matchiness is killing me here and the hair is a mess. Big fail in my book.
It does need edge. I would have adored seeing the return of the Prada flame heel with this look:

I like cutesy and girly when done right. It’s not the case here. I usually really like what Leslie wears but this was a miss. The shoes are the only thing I like about this look.
And, also, her husband was being honored, so I think she should’ve gone for something more formal. She really should’ve opted for a gown.
I’m surprised how she pulls off wearing this sweet dress. Wearing her hair down was a smart move. I like the colouring scheme and think her fab sandals was a perfect choice.
This look is too cute but not in a good way. Love her style but this is a no.
I think she looks lovely even though I got a toothache coming on
Completely agree about the cobalt shoe.
love the attitude she’s showing! makes this a wining look
