Bella Heathcote In Balenciaga – ‘Life Of Pi’ AFI Fest Premiere

Bella Heathcote attended the 2012 AFI Fest premiere for ‘Life Of Pi’ held at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Friday evening in Hollywood, California.

The Australian actress who has been wearing a lot of pretty frocks since becoming a red carpet favourite, opted for something different from the Balenciaga Fall 2012 collection.

Her black, white and grey pixelated snake-print dress has a futuristic feel which oozes effortless femininity.

Opting to wear her hair up again on this occasion, Bella added a black cuff, bi-coloured taupe-and-black chain accented sandals and a black patent clutch to her look.

I would’ve never figured Bella in a Balenciaga dress, immediately writing the brand off as too edgy for her delicate tastes, but she totally pulled off this look with ease.

I don’t like the digi snake print, but she does look good. She has a lot of the ‘je ne sais quoi’ that one needs to carry off difficult pieces. Also, I think we all need to thank her for wearing awesome shoes instead of those horrendous ones on the runway.

I’m not that into the outfit, but as is often the case with Heathcote, I’m loving her shoes.

I think that she pulled this look off too. I love the shoes.

I don’t like this dress on Bella at all, it’s somewhat dull and her figure doesn’t look nearly as beautiful as Kelly’s in it.

I think she could’ve rocked the runway version, it would have brought out her baby blues and been in keeping with her girly elegance aesthetic while mixing it up. Kelly Chen looked elegant in it. As it is she looks nice.

I think she looks very chic and the shoes and cuff are the perfect accessories.

    Very cute. Love the shoes.

I love the shoes, too, but she continues to just look like a wind-up toy to me. Maybe she is terrified out there, but she looks expressionless in every picture, and it takes all the life out of what might have been a really good look. No smile, wide blue eyes, blunt bangs….boring.

She looks beautiful. I love her hair and makeup here. I also think the shoes are a great compliment to the dress.

I wish she opted to wear the runwear version. I think the top she has on it too high in the neck and looks ill-fitted. I like everything else.

    Love the shoes.

I think the (boring) version she wore completely destroyed the (cool and edgy) runway look.
